The contact owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the vehicle was jerking occasionally while shifting gears. The failure occurred while driving at various speeds. The failure occurred approximately 10 times within 6 years. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had the vehicle towed to the dealer and was informed that the transmission failed due to a fractured and detached torque converter.
