The contact owns a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The contact stated while driving at approximately 5 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated a bystander was unable to push the vehicle out of the road. The contact stated that the transmission was shifting out of neutral(N) to park(P) independently. The contact stated she was able to restart the vehicle and drove to her residence. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the battery to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but experienced the failure for a second time on January 26, 2023. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V010000 (Electrical System, Hybrid Propulsion System). The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the battery system and the entertainment system to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure.
