Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the service engine soon warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with needing the engine to be replaced due to piston #3 being fractured. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,987. The consumer stated the vehicle was taken to Mike Castrucci Ford-Lincoln, but no repairs were made to the vehicle.
