Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel would suddenly become extremely difficult to turn in either direction. During the failure, the steering fault warning light was illuminated. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as intended. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure; no service was performed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 80,000.
