NHTSA Complaint #11451582 — 2019 FORD FLEX

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH, the steering wheel suddenly jerked to the left causing the vehicle to fishtail and cross the median line. After regaining control of the steering, the driver was able to safely park on the side of the road. While inspecting the vehicle, it was discovered that the rear driver’s side wheel was angled outward and out of position. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer was diagnosed that the rear toe link had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure.
