Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO ILLUMINATE AND THE DIGITAL ODOMETER FAILED TO FUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NO RECALLS WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
