2023 RAM 1500 Electrical System Instrument Clusterpanel Problems

The contact owns a 2023 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing an inaccurate fuel gauge reading. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the fuel gauge displayed that the fuel mileage was 18, but the vehicle suddenly lost motive power, prompting the contact to pull over to the side of the road. The contact parked the vehicle and took an Uber to his destination. The contact later returned and added fuel to the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three occasions. The dealer reset the computer, and the module K1 fuel pump leveling unit was replaced, and the instrument cluster was reprogrammed as per TSB Number: 08-234-24; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,360.

The contact stated that occasionally, only the A/C and heating controls and a section of the GPS map were displayed. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the dealer requested that the vehicle be left for three days for additional diagnostic tests. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.
