A lot of the Ram and Dodge Vehicles are having the same problems and Stellantis has failed over and over to recall the item!!!! And has not!! did so I have a 2013 Ram 4x4 with only 90k miles on my truck this is the same problem I'm having Stellantis has issued several major recalls for vehicles experiencing simultaneous illumination of the ABS, brake, and traction control (ESC) lights. These issues typically stem from defective software or hardware within the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) control module. Major Recalls (2024–2026) Ram 1500 (2019, 2021–2024): Nearly 1.5 million trucks were recalled worldwide due to a software malfunction in the ABS control module that can inadvertently disable the Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Jeep Grand Cherokee & Dodge Durango (2018–2019): Approximately 207,000 SUVs were recalled because a brake control computer could falsely read brake pressure, disabling ABS/ESC and causing brake lights to stay on....

The contact stated that while moving the gear shifter out of park(P), the gear was stuck in park(P). The contact opened the door and rocked the vehicle back and forth, then closed the door and moved the gear shifter out of park(P). The contact moved the gear shift lever. A dealer was not contacted, and the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The contact stated that the vehicle was part of the inheritance his father left. The contact's father had experienced the same failure. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, after the vehicle was started, the power steering failed to function as intended and locked up, and the contact was unable to maneuver the steering wheel. The contact owns a 2013 Ram 1500. The contact stated they received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 19V347000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages) and 17V821000 (Power Train); also the contact stated that the ABS warning light was blinking, and the engine light was illuminated However, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and the dealer declined to service the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer referred the contact to another local dealer and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000.
Lost complete steering with no warning or lights on the dash At risk none was parked and steered perfectly prior to parking There is a recall open for other vin numbers associated with the same issue
Failure of all steering wheel controls. with random cruise control suddenly activating ...transmission gear control self activation (will drop into lower gear causing driver to fly forward and vehicle behind to take evasive action). radio changes channels by itself. i found info that lead me to believe it was a clock spring issue. was taken to dealer. they diagnosed it as a steering wheel harness that had all the wires pulled out of the plug..800 to repair a 20 dollar wire harness... next drive after repair. buttons all worked again but radio still changing channels..cruise intermittent..gear dropping by itself still..almost rear ended again..back to dealer just to get told they could not do anything for a couple weeks..they are lucky this was not in inter on ice.... original symptoms could not change the display..stuck on tire pressure screen.. no phone control. no radio control. no cruise control , no gear...

The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, there was an abnormal loud clunking sound coming from underneath the vehicle. The contact then noticed that the gear shifter had moved from drive(D) to manual(M), and the gear reader indicated that the transmission was in 4th gear. The contact stated that he pulled to the side of the road, turned off and restarted the vehicle. The contact stated that he was able to shift into drive(D) and drove to the residence. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while driving. The check engine warning light was illuminated. Hello, I'm filing a complaint against the Dothan, AL Ram dealership due to recalls that were never performed. I bought the truck on 7/12/2021 from a third party. I noticed this particular Ram had 12 recalls so I took it in to the Dothan, AL Dodge dealership to have them repaired. They had the truck for 2 weeks and nothing was repaired. Nothing at all. I lost 2 back pack blowers because of the faulty tailgate latch. I had to take the tailgate from my 02 Ram off and put it on the 2013. That's just one incident, there are quite a few and I've spent countless amount of money and time fixing this truck because of the recalls that were never performed. Truck will stall out pulling out in traffic with no signs of a problem. It happened to me today with my kid in the truck. This is unacceptable. This trucks are to expensive to have this. It also will surge and try to go without foot on gas. This is totally unsafe. Dodge needs to fix this.
Issues with pcm, emc, tps. After 98,000 miles everything started not reading correct and giving false check engine light. I bought truck two years ago and it’s hard to believe dealership didn’t no. 2013 ram trucks need to be pulled off market. Nobody can tell you what’s wrong. The truck starts when it wants to. Hits the gas when it wants to. Them machines say no code no problem. If the code that originally popped up said computer not receiving info. Then of course you can’t read problems.
The vehicle rolls away while still in park and showing it’s in park. No one was in the vehicle. All passengers had exited and was in a building.
Air bag light came up. Headed to nearest mechanic he said there was a recall on airbags for this type of vehicle. Made an appointment on dealer. On my way engine light came up and vehicle started shaking
Noticed tick noise coming from my HEMI engine upon starting. Took to mechanic who verified there are multiple broken bolts on both sidesof exhaust manifolds creating dangerous exhaust conditions. Reading that there have been multiple complaints on the Ram 1500 Hemi models in this time frame for same complaint. Only have 85K miles on this 2013 model., A recall should be considered and this should be covered cost by manufacturer.
I was driving down the road on 222 near Lancaster pennsylvania when without any warning lights or noise or any form of warning my rear differential locked up while I was driving. It snapped my drivshaft off the flange that attaches it to the differential.
I EXITED MY TRUCK IN DRIVEWAY GOT OUT LOOKED IT AND IT ROLLED BACK AT LEAST TWO FEET ALMOST RAN OVER MY FOOT IT'S DONE IT MORE THAN ONCE NOW IT WAS IN PARK AND WAS OUT OF VEHICLE VERY UNSAFE
EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOTLS BREAKING. DEALER FIXED ONCE UNDER WARRANTY, NOW ITS BACK AGAIN. THIS IS A CONTINUAL PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS EXTREMELY COMMON AMOUNG THE HEMI TRUCKS AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
MY 2013 RAM HAS A CONSTANT VIBRATION WHICH STARTS AT AROUND 40MPH AND CONTINUES ALL THE WAY UP TO 75+ MPH. I'VE REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES 3 TIMES. THE LAST SET ARE MICHELIN. ON ALL 3 SETS OF NEW TIRES I HAD THEM BALANCED A TOTAL OF OVER 15 TIMES. HAD ROAD FORCE TESTING DONE ON THE NEWEST SET 5 TIMES. I STILL FEEL THE VIBRATION. I BOUGHT THE TIRES AND HAD THEM ROAD FORCE BALANCED BY A NATIONAL TIRE CHAIN. THEN I TOOK THE TRUCK TO A LOCAL DODGE DEALER/SERVICE CENTER. THEY ROAD FORCE BALANCED THE TIRES TWICE AND TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WASN'T THE TIRES OR RIMS. THEN I TOOK THE TRUCK BACK TO THE STORE WHERE I BOUGH THE TIRES, THEY ROAD FORCE BALANCED THEM AGAIN AND STILL I FEEL THE VIBRATION. TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS, FIRST INCIDENT PUT VEHICLE INTO PARK LEFT RUNNING CAME BACK TO VEHICLE AND IT HAD ROLLED FORWARD INTO FRONT OF GARAGE. SECOND INCIDENT PARKED TURNED VEHICLE OFF AT TOP OF DRIVEWAY WOKE UP NEXT MORNING TO FIND VEHICLE AT BOTTOM OF THE DRIVEWAY.
MY TRUCK FAILED THE STATE INSPECTION BECAUSE 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAD BROKEN OFF AND WERE INSIDE THE CYLINDER HEAD WITH NO WAY TO GET THEM OUT. I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED TO A MECHANIC UPON DISCOVERING HOW DEEP THEY HAD BROKEN OFF WITH NO SUCCESS AT REMOVING THE FIRST ONE AND THE MECHANIC WAS ALSO UNABLE TO REMOVE THEM. THEY HAVE NOW BEEN DRILLED OUT BY THE MECHANIC WHICH CREATED A COOLANT LEAK OUT OF ONE OF THE BOLT HOLES AND IT LOOKS LIKE I'LL NEED A NEW CYLINDER HEAD. I'VE READ IT'S A COMMON ISSUE AND NOW I'M EXPECTING THE DRIVERS SIDE TO DO THE SAME ANY TIME IF THEY AREN'T BROKEN ALREADY.
CHECK ENGINE CODE PO850 . DEALER STATES MECHATRONICS VALVE BODY NEEDS REPLACEMENT $2,800. CONTACTED SEVERAL DEALERS AND PROFESSIONALS AND FOUND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS 8 SPEED TRANSMISSION
AS SOON AS I START THE ENGINE, A LOUD TICKING NOISE IS COMING FROM THE ENGINE. AFTER INSPECTING IT, I HAVE BROKEN EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLT THAT CAUSES EXHAUST TO EXIT AT THE HEAD. THE EXHAUST ESCAPES BEFORE IT REACHES THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND THE MUFFLER THUS CAUSING THE LOUD NOISE. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE RAM HEMI ENGINES. IT IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "HEMI TICK". ALTHOUGH THIS HAS BEEN A WIDELY KNOWN ISSUE, RAM HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL.
VEHICLE WAS IN PARK RUNNING FOR ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ROTARY SHIFTER SHIFTED INTO GEAR (NO ONE IN VEHICLE), ACCELERATED AND WENT FORWARD CRASHING INTO THE HOUSE.
MY 2013 DODGE RAM 1500 TRADESMAN HAS 47338 MILES ON IT AND IT WENT INTO WHAT THEY REFER TO AS LIMP MODE WHILE GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH THE SHOP SAID IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE TRUCKS BUT THERE IS NO RECALL ON IT WHY. I AM NOW 7 MONTHS OUT OF FACTORY WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH THE LOW MILES THERE NEEDS TO BE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS PROBLEM THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY COMPLAINTS ON LINE ABOUT THIS IT'S NOT SAFE DRIVING AT 65 OR SO AND HAVE IT KICK DOWN TO 4TH GEAR MECHANIC CAN'T BELIEVE I HAD THIS HAPPEN WITH SO FEW OF MILES.

I STOPPED AND PUT MY TRUCK IN PARK AND WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE THE TRUCK REVVED UP AND WENT FORWARD, I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE TO STOP THE TRUCK, BUT THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE TRUCK FROM RUNNING INTO THE 2 CARS. I HAVE A DODGE RAM 15000 CREW CAB LARAMIE. BOTH TAIL LIGHTS ARE MALFUNCTIONING IN THE BLINKERS. WHEN I TURN THE BLINKER ON IT BLINKS REALLY FAST AND SAYS THE TAIL LIGHTS ARE BAD AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE LIGHTS IN THE BACK ARE HALF OUT WHEN THIS HAPPENS. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. I DID SEE THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT FOR MY VIN THERE IS NOT. SO IT APPEARS ALL 2013S SEEM TO BE AFFECTED. I ALSO HAVE A TICKING NOISE IN MY ENGINE WHEN I START THE VEHICLE. IT LESSENS AS THE CAR WARMS UP. I NOTICED THERE WAS A RECALL IN 2012 FOR BAD EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. I BELIEVE THIS IS STILL OCCURRING ON THESE VEHICLES. I HAVE NOT REPAIRED EITHER OF THE ITEMS ON MY TRUCK BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT IS JUST MALFUNCTIONING. I DON'T RECALL HOW LONG ITS BEEN OCCURRING BUT AT...
TRUCK STARTING TO SHAKE AND NOT BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE, TOOK IT TO GET CHECK OUT , REPLACE LIFTERS, CAM SHAFT, GETTING CODES OF MIS FIRE IN CYLINDER SIX, THEN CYLINDER FOUR. THEN CYLINDER 6 REACTIVATION CONTROL PERFORMANCE, THEN CYLINDER DEACTIVATION SYSTEM BANK 1, OIL PRESSURE OUT OF RANGE CAMSHAFT ADVANCE/ RETARD DISABLED. SPENT. WHEN DRIVING GOING OVER PASS OR INCLINE TRUCKS STARTS TO SHAKE LIKE ITS GOING TO EXPLODE. NOW IT IS STARTING TO JUST DIE AND TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING OR AT A STOP SIGN.
"BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK" I RECENTLY RECEIVED MY LATEST RECALL (THIS RECALL MAKES 4 IN TOTAL SINCE INITIAL PURCHASE OF MY 2013 RAM 1500). THIS LATEST RECALL IS T79, AND THE PREVIOUS 3 WERE: T25; R36; R23 ALL RECALLS ARE DUE TO SAFETY RELATED ISSUES ON MY RAM. THIS LATEST RECALL (T79) IS THE MOST CONCERNING, BECAUSE THE VEHICLE CAN ACTUALLY ROLL AWAY WHILE IN THE PARK POSITION, WITHOUT EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGED. I RECEIVED RECALL T79 IN EARLY FEBRUARY 2018, AND AS OF TODAY 03/21/18, PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AT MY LOCAL FCA DEALERSHIP TO FIX THIS DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE. FOR THIS REASON MY TRUCK STAYS PARKED AND ONLY HAS APPROXIMATELY 14,800 MILES, AND MY RESALE VALUE HAS GREATLY BEEN DEVALUED. IN ADDITION, THE DRIVESHAFT LOCKED UP AND THEN FRACTURED IN HALF. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO PATTERSON CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1611 US-259 BUS, KILGORE, TX 75662) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR END LOCKED UP ON THE VEHICLE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ALSO, THE DRIVESHAFT AND FRONT AND REAR U-JOINTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

A BYSTANDER NOTICED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER HAD SHIFTED OUT OF PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE BODY DAMAGE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, THERE WOULD BE NO SEGREGATION. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. TRUCK STARTED TAPPING 4-5 WEEKS AGO. I WAS ADVISED THAT IT WAS PROBABLY AN EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEAK... TO GET IT FIXED AT INSPECTION. 5 DAYS AGO, TRUCK STARTED SKIPPING AND THE CIL CAME ON. ERROR CODE PO302. MECHANIC DIAGNOSED AS CAM LOBE FAILURE. THE TRUCK HAS 113,500 MILES ON IT ALL HIGHWAY. SYNTHETIC OIL; PLUS FUEL. BASED ON MY RESEARCH... THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT SEEMS TO BE PREVALENT. CHRYSLER SHOULD COVER THIS REPAIR. $3500 REPAIR COST FOR A TRUCK LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD. UNFAIR TO SAY THE LEAST.

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TRANSMISSION SHIFTS HARD, TIRE BALANCE ISSUES, CLOCK, IGNITION MALFUNCTION AND OTHER MECHANIC PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE CLOCK AND IGNITION SWITCH WERE REPAIRED. I WAS A PASSANGER IN THE TRUCK DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND WE TURNED RIGHT .. THE TRUCK SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR .. I HEARD THE TRUCK REV UP CAUSE THE DRIVER HAD HIS FOOT ON THE GAS AS NOTHING HAD HAPPENED .. BOTH HIS HANDS WERE ON THE STEERING WHEEL SO AT NO TIME DID HE TURN THE DIAL SHIFTING GEARS .. THE TRANSMISSION DID THAT MYSTERIOUSLY ON ITS OWN .. THE DRIVER TOLD ME IT'S HAPPENED BEFORE AND HE WORRIED...
DURING DECEMBER 2016 AND JANUARY 2017, A RECURRING SAFETY ISSUE OCCURRED. WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT TWICE, THE TRUCK SURGED WITHOUT WARNING (WHILE THE DRIVER'S FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE) OR WHILE IN MOTION, SLIPPED INTO ANOTHER GEAR ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. GIVEN THE SAFETY CONCERN, ON FEBRUARY 4, 2017 WE TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE FAULTY PART RELATED TO THE GEAR SHIFT KNOB ISSUE.

DODGE RAM 1500 KEY FOB WILL NOT START THE VEHICLE. THE FOB IS NOT RELIABLE, AS IT HAS FAILED YEARLY SINCE WE OWNED THE VEHICLE. WE FEAR THAT FAILURE TO START POSES A SAFETY HAZARD, AS THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM A DANGEROUS SITUATION IF IT STALLS.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON A SLIGHT INCLINE AND IN PARK. PARKING BRAKE NOT ENGAGED. UNLOADING GROCERIES WITH RT REAR DOOR OPEN. THE TRUCK ROLLED BACKWARDS ABOUT 1.5 FEET THEN STOPPED. THIS TRUCK HAS THE COLUMN SHIFTER. NOTICED COMPLAINTS CONCERNING ROTARY SHIFTER. HOWEVER, IT ROLLED ON ITS OWN WHILE THE SHIFTER WAS IN PARK POSITION. TEMPERATURE WAS AROUND 25 DEGREES AND CLEAR. LEFT TIRES WERE ON DRY PAVEMENT. RIGHT TIRES ON SNOW. TRUCK DID NOT SLIDE AS IT LEFT VERY NOTICEABLE TIRE TRACKS.. FIRST TIME WE HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE. ON 12/7/16, A DESOLATE, STRAIGHT, COUNTRY ROAD, I STOPPED MY TRUCK TO INVESTIGATE DAMAGE FROM A DEER THAT HAD RUN INTO THE DRIVER'S FENDER WHILE I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 25 MPH. EVEN THOUGH I PLACED THE TRUCK IN PARK AFTER MY STOP (TO MAKE IT STATIONARY), THE RAM STARTED MOVING AS I ATTEMPTED TO EXIT ITS CABIN; AND THEN IT DROVE FOR ABOUT 300 FEET AT IDLE SPEED DOWN THE ROAD, WHERE IT STOPPED IN A SHALLOW DRAINAGE DITCH. MEANWHILE, THE RAM'S "SELF-DRIVING" MODE HAD CAUSED ME TO SLIP ON THE RUNNING BOARD AND TO FALL VERY HARD TO THE GROUND (A DISTANCE OF AT LEAST 22 INCHES).
