Complaint Regarding Recall 24V720000 – Jeep Wrangler 4xe (2023 Model) I am filing this complaint regarding the recall of my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] - under Recall Number 24V720000, issued due to a potential fire risk. This defect represents a severe safety hazard that jeopardizes the safety of my family, property, and others. Details of the Issue: The recall was issued due to a defect in the hybrid powertrain that could result in a fire, even when the vehicle is parked and turned off. Jeep/Stellantis has advised owners to: •Refrain from charging the vehicle. •Park it away from structures and other vehicles. This advisory alone highlights the gravity of the issue, rendering the vehicle unsafe to use as intended. Steps Taken to Remedy: •I have contacted my dealership and Stellantis to schedule a repair; however, no remedy has been made available to date. •It has become clear that...
Windshield has cracked multiple times (multiple windshields) in the center, bottom of the glass, spontaneously. Both event were in cold weather. There were no chips or impacts to the windshield.
I had gone out to do errands in the morning. My errands were in a nearby military base, approximately 4 miles from my home. When I returned, I parked in my driveway. When I went back to my vehicle to retrieve something, there was a large (approximately 2 foot) crack on my windshield. It was not there on my morning errand run and there was no other way the windshield would have cracked. This is a 2023 Jeep purchased on March 11, 2023. The vehicle currently only has 3,141 miles on it. I am concerned that there is a defect on the windshield glass, a much crucial part of a vehicle's safety feature. There are other Jeepers are reporting the same issue, but we have no place to turn to because the dealers shut us down!
While driving on a major interstate, on a clear day, with no outstanding or extreme influences and traveling with traffic at a standard rate of speed (70 mph), a small roughly dime sized rock hit my windshield. This resulted in an immediate, large radial crack and approximately 9 inch lateral crack across my windshield. The rock was traveling slow enough that I could see it coming. Further research shows that this is a known issue to the manufacturer and owners, which is why the manufacturer offers an upgraded glass option for durability. This makes sense for off-roading or in a way inconsistent with manufacturers recommendation, but it is a safety issue if the glass cannot maintain during normal operation. I have concerns with every rock until it is replaced. It has been inspected by manufacturer/dealer, and I am paying to have it upgraded and replaced. However, I have concerns that...
The front defrost fails to blow any air on the windshield directly in front of the drivers seat, causing visibility issues in winter weather or whenever the windshield fogs up. The vehicle was brought to the dealer and the dealer indicated that the defrost is working as normal and that they just don’t blow air anywhere but in the center. Even when explaining that a windshield that ices up is a safety issue when driving, they indicated there is nothing that can be done.
systems that failed, my defroster only blows straight up about the width of the rear view mirror. causing my windshield to fog or ice and I not be able to see. dealer will not look at it until the 14th of dec. they are unwilling to provide a safe loaner in the meantime. no warning lamps my frame undercoating is already coming off making me very concerned about rust down the road the welds on my frame have porosity in a fair amount of welds. this worries me if I would ever be in a collision that the frame would not hold up. also, longterm I'm worried about the porous welds harboring salty water and rusting out the welds. causing the strength of the weld to be weakened. not to mention a porous weld in general is a weak weld
