The cluster instrument panel stopped working. It is a part that has been recalled. It was taken to the local jeep dealer and they confirmed the issue. Apparently, my jeep has not been added to the recall list yet. I also reported the issue directly to Chrysler back when it first happened.
Shortly after leaving my house I glanced at the digital readout for my speed and noticed that the instrument cluster was blank. I pulled over, stopped my Jeep, then restarted it to see if that would correct it, which it did not. I took it to a reputable auto/electrical garage who at first noticed a master fuse block blown and replaced the fuse block. That didn't correct the instrument cluster however but they did find a recall 30B for 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I called Stellantis (1 800 334 9200) today, Feb 16th . I was told by 3 different people in 3 different departments that even though there is a safety recall on 2020 Jeeps my VIN# isn't included. I asked why not and was told that it depended where the Jeep was made. They also told me that the repair will be at my expense. This doesn't seem fair...
My speedometer/odometer screen went completely black. I have no idea how fast I’m going or how much gas I have. This is a know and very dangerous issue.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel was blank. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with instrument cluster failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 52,000.
The IPC intermittently goes blank and I lose driver information like remaining fuel and speed limit and other safety information. The IPC also turns green and gets distortion.
The instrument cluster has failed. I am unable to see critical warnings for my Jeep. I am unable to determine the milage. Fortunately, the speedometer is separate and I am able to see the speed. I see there is a recall for 2020 Wranglers but, for some reason my VIN is not included. I'm being told by the dealer that the repair will cost $1600. Reading online, this issues seems to be a problem with Wranglers.
My instrument cluster has failed. I can't see any vehicle information. No gas or oil gauges. No information what so ever. I can't see my speed or if may my be overheating. This is basic safety issues I should be able to see. There has been a recall for 2020 Jeep Wrangler's so other people have has the same issue. I can't drive without the basic safety instruments working. I don't even know how many miles are on my Jeep
The instrument panel cluster went totally dark, I only have 53,000 miles on this vehicle. I can't see any warning lights, digital speed, and most dangerously how much gas I have in the vehicle. The dealer wants $2000.00 to replace it but this seems to be a common issue with Jeeps and the 7.0 cluster should be recalled along with the 3.5 cluster. I have the 7.0 that has not been recalled yet.
Instrument control panel does not function. It is a dark/blank screen not allowing driver to see vital functions and information about the vehicle. This vehicle had an alternator issue but could not be determined without extra tooling and labor to diagnose the problem. Safety is of paramount concern. Vehicle was taken into a dealership for inspection and determined that the "ICP" had failed and needed to be replaced for approximately $1600. This was before recall #30b had been initiated. The recall seemed to include this vehicle given the year and model listed in the recall order. Strangely, it is not included for this particular vehicle which is exhibiting the exact symptoms listed in the recall order.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the instrument cluster failed to operate as designed. The contact stated that the instrument cluster was black at start-up, preventing the gauges or safety features information from being displayed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 119,000.
The instrument panel, recently went dark on us while driving. We had seen previous recalls on this issue, but never received anything. Are we covered under this recall?
My instrument cluster failed on My 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I can't see any of my vehicle information. This makes safety a real concern for me. There is an existing recall for 2020 Jeep Wranglers. My vin is not included? Could it be evaluated please.
Steering wheel electrical failure. Melted wiring inside steering wheel. Potential airbag and steering safety failure. Serious safety defect. Fire risk! While getting ready to leave a retail parking lot with heated steering wheel on, we became overwhelmed with fumes. Noticed the steering wheel was hot. Immediately shut off the car and opened the doors. When the fumes subsided, started the car and made sure the heated steering wheel was off. It no longer worked at all, when car was re-started. This could have been life threatening had we been traveling on the highway and not in a parking lot. Took vehicle to our dealer- Central Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge for repair. Dealer service advisor unable to diagnose exact cause due to extent of damage. Also commented shock that we didn’t experience a fire that could have caused the airbag to explode as well. Service advisor stated steering wheel heating element short and steering...
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster displayed a black screen. The vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with instrument cluster failure. The contact was informed that the instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was advised to contact the dealer for assistance. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under a recall. The contact referenced an unknown recall howeve,r the VIN was not under recall. In addition, the contact was informed that most likely the failure was the result of rodents chewing on the wires, and that the repair was not covered under the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was informed that the...
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the instrument panel became dark. The failure had occurred on several occasions. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was unknown. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure reoccurred and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer and was diagnosed and determined that the instrument panel needed to be replaced. The dealer stated that there was no recall associated with the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
1. Instrument console screen or display has disabled. Cannot read speed, fuel level, etc. 2. Driver cannot discern status of vehicle. Speed, gear , and fuel data not readable which driver would need for safe driving. 3. This has not been reproduced by dealer. Confirmed by independent service center. 4. Vehicle has standard NYS safety inspection. 5. No prior warning or signs led to the outage of control panel.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the instrument panel was blank before eventually returning to normal operation. The failure was intermittent at first before becoming a permanent failure. The contact was unable to see the speedometer, mileage, fuel gauge level, and other vital features of the vehicle. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); and associated the failure with the recall. Two dealers were notified of the failure and stated that the VIN was not under recall. A diagnostic test was performed, and the contact was provided with an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact sent an email to the manufacturer, but had not yet received a response. The failure mileage was unknown.
The vehicle was running fine and then the cluster went out. It came back for a couple hours and now it’s been out for a couple weeks. It still lights up but does not show any writing. I know this is part of a recall but like the last time something happened to my jeep with the gas( huge safety violation) that costed $1400 to fix- Jeep obviously doesn’t care about safety. I’m over this Jeep if they don’t want to include the vehicle in the recall twice now.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, the instrument panel displayed a blank screen. No warning light was illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the center display turned blank. The contact stated that the vehicle had displayed the symptoms of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System). The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. Additionally, the contact was informed that there would be a charge for a diagnostic test. My digital dashboard display is, shorting out. Started acting up on December 25th, 2025.
The entire instrument cluster failed on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler and had to be completely replaced at the dealer. One day, when starting the vehicle, the entire cluster was off with no advanced warnings, no speedometer, no fuel gauge, no warning lights, no odometer, and no information display of any kind. The vehicle would still operate, but all gauges and dashboard functions were non-functional. To make matters worse, this occurred as we were leaving the hospital with our [XXX] child during a snowstorm. Our child had just been admitted for three days to the PICU for RSV-related issues. The safety of our infant was directly put at risk due to the complete loss of all dashboard and warning information while driving in hazardous conditions. We took the vehicle to the Plainfield, Indiana Jeep dealership and were informed that the entire instrument cluster needed to be replaced. We were charged $1,526...
My dash with my dash lights, speed, warning lights, odometer, gas tank and oil temp went out in my jeep. It flicked off with red lines. Come on randomly but stays off. Took to jeep told me it was the jeep instrument cluster. No recalls on my specific jeep but [XXX] shows there is a recall of this part. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Instrument cluster first started to appear as if it had a glitch by the colors being slightly different then as the months progressed the dash cluster would slowly start to fade in and out, turning off and on, until one day when driving it just turned completely off and has not came on since, sometimes when i turn the car on it will want to turn back on but will fade back into a brightly lit screen with no apparent function appearing on the screen. Available to be inspected upon request Problem has been identified by local Jeep dealer. I am stationed in Belgium There were no warning lamps or messages or anything to indicate a system failure. My safety was put at risk as the dash cluster is what helps me monitor my speed, heat temperature on my engine, gas levels as well as any other maintenance issues or...
Instrument panel cluster went blank. Driver has no access to safety information, vehicle instruments or warning notifications. Dealership visualized blank screen and agreed. Vehicle falls into same Recall category of NHTSA 24V-652, but FCA states this VIN has not specifically been recalled. No symptoms prior to blank screen, but unidentified warning noise has activated multiple times with driver unable to identify what warning is being alerted. Dealership states no codes of engine malfunction are present.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the contact noticed that the instrument panel was glitching and flickering before displaying a blank screen. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Instrument Cluster Panel stoppped working about a week ago. The Cluster between the MPH Guage and Rpm Guage went blank.
Digital gauge cluster goes completely blank. Will come back on intermittently and then goes blank again for extended periods of time.
My 2020 jeep wrangler just had its center instrument cluster go dark. This seems to be a known issue, and I believe there is a recall for 2024 models. The recall needs to be expanded as far back as the issue is being reported. This is dangerous situation with not being able to see the gas gauge, milage and additional critical information. To make matters even more unmanageable because the jeep needs to have the exact mileage known before replacing the instrument cluster the recommendation is to drop your car off at the dealer and not drive it until the part is replaced. Because this is such a large issue the current lead-time is 5 months to get a replacement part in. No one should be expected to leave their jeep at a dealership for 5 months. Our jeep dealer actually recommended getting an after-market replacement. I am reporting this...
My center dash cluster shorted out and went black and no longer shows speed, fuel and warning lights. Known recall for center dash cluster, but not my vin. Dealership has diagnosed the problem and repairing at my expense.
The instrument dash panel went blank while driving.
Driver side dashboard experienced an instrument cluster failure causing the center dashboard information to go completely blank so that the mileage, amount of gas, speed, warning lights, etc. are all no longer visible. There appears to have been a recall for a similar issue for Jeep Wrangler years 2018-2024 but I have been told my VIN is not part of that recall even though it appears to be the same cluster failure issue.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the instrument panel had become inoperable. The dealer and the manufacturer were contacted, and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

I have the same malfunction as described in New Safety Recall Advanced Communication – 30B released on 9/5/2024, but my VIN is not included. The malfunction relates to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) that becomes blank. As noted in 30B: "[a]n IPC that is not visible to the driver may result in the driver's attention being diverted from the driving task while trying to locate a desired display, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. The condition described above does not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 571.101, Controls and Displays S5.3 requires vehicles to "illuminate telltales and their identification sufficiently to make them visible to the driver under daylight and nighttime driving conditions." The IPC in the suspect vehicles may not illuminate the required telltales." Can you please add my Jeep VIN to the recall list?
While driving car, instrument cluster went blank. It does not display important vehicle information like speed.
Instrument Panel went completely out. Can not tell how much gas is in the jeep, how many miles it has, can’t see any digital details on the instrument panel. Completely black.
Electric computer control system keep malfunctioning and disconnecting. Third occurrence in a month. Currently at my mechanics.
Instrumentation cluster suddenly failed while I was driving. This put the safety of all individuals at risk because I was not able to view any critical information like warning lights, speedometer or fuel status.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the instrument panel failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the instrument panel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believed that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 48,000.
I have had 18 visits to 2 Jeep Dealerships for my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I have had my radio replaced 3 times and I'm still waiting (its been months!) for another new radio as the current is still going black, powering off, sometimes it responds & sometimes it doesn't. This is EXTREMELY frustrating for a "new" car not to have a functioning radio. But then recently my IC went totally black. No view of my gas gauge!! Of course, my VIN was NOT included in last year's recall but I was able to get this replaced thankfully via the extended warrantee I purchased. I had to pay a $500 deductible for it to be replaced. Same for the radio. At what point does Jeep or Mopar say....this is a serious electrical problem? Isn't anyone trained to get to root cause? I have pictures and videos of the power...
Digital dash went out for 6 months and my vehicle was not covered under the recall warranty..Had no fuel gauge or speedometer during that time...Paid $1143.73 to have it repaired...nowy odometer does not match my computer.
My instrument cluster panel display has suddenly gone black/blank. This looks to be a known recall issue under Recall ID: 24V-652 which includes Select 2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles. Mine is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. Can my vehicle be added to the recall list? I am at safety risk as I cannot see my gas mileage, warning light indicators, Electronic Throttle Control, Battery Charge Warning, Engine Coolant Temperature, Airbag Warning, Brake System Alerts, Transmission Fault lights, etc. I have scheduled a service appointment to have this looked at the dealership where I purchased my Jeep. I would appreciate any financial assistance as it will be an extreme struggle to pay out of pocket for this to be repaired. My safety and my family's safety is at risk. Please help!
2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Willys The Instrument cluster panel went out. Black screen. A critical safety issue b/c you cannot see the speedometer, warning lights, or anything on the screen. There is a recall (NHTSA#24V-652) however my VIN # is not included in the recall. Brought the Jeep into mechanic who said this should be covered under Jeep Recall. To date no certified Jeep dealership will repair under recall b/c they are saying VIN # is not included in the recall.
My front dash was not registering, so I cannot see my speed, gas tank, and all other info on it. When I took it to a mechanic, he had to replace the AGM Auxiliary Battery. It went from the normal square battery to the size and shape of balloon, causing a dangerous situation. The mechanic sent us to the dealership to finish the work as it should be covered under the recall. He also advised us not to drive it on our roadtrip as the INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER needs to be fixed and could cause fires as it’s under recall: RECALL NHTSA #24V-652. We need to get it fixed, but the dealership declined saying my Jeep Wrangler 2020’s VIN number doesn’t show the recall. So, now we are trying to get that recall established for this VIN number as it’s having the SAME ISSUES AS THOSE RECALLED. Now, we are...
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the instrument panel intermittently failed to operate as needed. The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the instrument panel was black, and the contact was unable to see pertinent information about the vehicle's operation. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the instrument panel had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
The dashboard in the affected vehicles may suddenly go blank, leaving the driver without vital information, such as speed and turn signals’ status. The driver will not be able to get the cluster working after failure. There is a recall on this (and my Jeep model and year is within the criteria but my Jeep is not in the recall. New Recall NHTSA 24V-652: Instrument Panel Cluster IPC ...
The instrument cluster has went completely out. There is a currently open recall for 2018 - 2024 Jeep Wranglers (Recall #24V-652), but my VIN is not included. According to FMVSS No. 571.101 (Controls and Displays), you are required to remedy this situation as it is now a safety and hazard for the driver.
The instrument cluster went out on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler. There is a recall (NHTSA#24V-652) for this issue, however my VIN # is not included in the recall. This is a critical safety issue because the speedometer and warning lights to not work.
