ALSO, WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PULL OVER, WAIT A COUPLE OF MINUTES, AND RESTART THE VEHICLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING NORMALLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL THROTTLE INDICATOR AND THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GREENWAY MOTORS (300 BEDFORD RD, MORRIS, IL 60450, (815) 942-3400) WHERE IT UNDERWENT SEVERAL UNKNOWN REPAIRS, BUT THE FAILURES RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WERE NOT DISCLOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,625.

THIS MOSTLY HAPPENS ON CITY STREET HOWEVER WHEN GETTING ONTO THE ON RAMP IT SPUTTERS TO ACCELERATE SOMETIMES AND ALSO IF TRAFFIC COMES TO A STOP ON THE HIGHWAY AND I TRY TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS CAUSING THIS. I HAVE COMPLETED REGULAR MAINTENANCE ON THE CAR SO THIS HAS COME OUT OF NOWHERE. I SEE PREVIOUSLY THERE WAS A RECALL FOR A LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE WHICH COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STALL BUT I'M NOT SURE IF MY VEHICLE WENT THROUGH THIS RECALL.

AFTER REVIEWING OTHER COMPLAINTS, THIS SEEMS LIKE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE REFERENCED PART, AND OWNER/DRIVER IS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE RESOLUTION OF REPLACING A FAULTY PART WITH WITH A FAULTY PART FOR A TOTAL OF $800. MILEAGE ON CAR AT TIME OF TBA FAILURE = 69,850 WITH NO PREVIOUS INDICATORS OF UPCOMING FAILURE. FURTHER RESOLUTION IS NEEDED TO ENSURE SAFETY OF ALL DRIVERS.
