Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP PATRIOT. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY DECELERATED TO 10 MPH AND EXPERIENCED AN IMMEDIATE LOSS OF POWER. AFTER THE DECELERATION OCCURRED, THE CHECK ENGINE, TRACTION, AND ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LINDSAY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (8100 CENTREVILLE RD, MANASSAS, VA 20111, (888) 241-6888) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS SAME PART HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN REPLACED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD NOTIFY THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
