THIS JEEP COMPASS WAS PURCHASED FOR OUR COLLEGE AGE DAUGHTER IN MARCH 2019, TODAY WHILE DRIVING, HER REAR DRIVER SIDE WHEEL MADE A LOUD NOISE THEN FELT LIKE IT 'DROPPED' AND UPON GETTING STOPPED, SHE DIDN'T WRECK THANK GOD, AS SHE WAS PULLING INTO OUR DRIVE. UPON INSPECTION IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT HER REAR CROSSMEMBER HAD RUSTED INTO. I SEARCHED AND FOUND THAT THERE HAD AT ONE TIME BEEN A RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR PART DUE TO EXCESSIVE RUST FROM THE SALT BELT STATES. WE ARE IN KY BUT WHEN WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IT WAS TITLED IN MICHIGAN, WHICH IS MOST DEFINITELY IN THAT SALT BELT. I AM NOT SURE WHY THIS RECALL WAS NOT COMPLETED BY THE FORMER OWNER BUT I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE CORRECTED NO MATTER THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED MY DAUGHTER TO BE IN A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. WE HAD...
WHEN DRIVING OVER BUMPS YOU CAN CLEARLY HEAR THE SUSPENSION OR STRUTS. YOU CAN HEAR THEM ALSO WHILE JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. SOMETIMES IT SOUNDS LIKE THE BOLTS ARE GONNA COME OUT. IT ALSO HAVE SOME KIND OF CREAKY NOISE SOMETIMES AS WELL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP COMPASS 4X4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM ALERTED HIM TO CHECK THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE. THE CONTACT PLACED AIR IN THE TIRE. WHILE DRIVING FROM THE FUEL STATION AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE CROSS MEMBER FRACTURED INTO THE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NEAR A REPAIR FACILITY AND THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE CROSS MEMBER HAD EXTENSIVE RUST TO THE POINT THAT IT FRACTURED INTO THE FRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO A SECOND FACILITY FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN MANUFACTURER EXTENDED WARRANTY CAMPAIGN NUMBER: X69 (FRONT AND REAR CROSS MEMBER CORROSION) AND TSB NUMBER: 23012-14. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL SUDDENLY TILTED INWARD SO WHEN WAS RUBBING WHEEL WELL. GOT VEHICLE HOME LESS THAN 1 MILE AWAY AND SAW CROSS MEMBER RUSTED COMPLETELY ALLOWING UPPER CONTROL ARM TO MOVE.
THE FRONT SUB-FRAME (DRIVERS SIDE) OF MY DAUGHTERS CAR BROKE. THANKFULLY SHE WAS JUST PULLING UP TO A STOP LIGHT LEAVING A COLLEGE CAMPUS WHEN IT BROKE AND NOT ON THE HIGHWAY OR MOVING FAST. THE PIECE JUST SNAPPED. I SEE THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH SOME OF THE 2007 COMPASS WHERE THEY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY BUT IT DOES NOT APPLY TO OUR VIN NUMBER FOR SOME REASON. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE.
PARKING BRAKE DOESN'T WORK AND THE STABILITY OF THE VEHICLE IS NOT GOOD IT WOBBLES AROUND TURNS AND I'M AFRAID THE VEHICLE WILL ROLL ONE DAY. THIS UNSTABLE CONDITION WILL HAPPEN ON THE CITY HIGHWAY AND CITY STREETS WHILE IN MOTION DRIVING. I PUT ON THE PARKING BRAKE AND IT DOES NOT STOP THE VEHICLE BECAUSE I CAN DRIVE IF I FORGOT I PUT IT ON WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS AND I'LL HEAR THE BEEPING GO OFF AND PUT MY PARKING BRAKE ON. I FEEL AS IF ONE DAY TO SCHOOL MY VEHICLE WILL ROCK UNSTABLE AND CAUSE ME TO WRECK EVEN THOUGH I AM VERY CAREFUL.
HAD A LOT OF BANGING NOISES OVER BUMPS. AFTER AN INSPECTION UNDER CAR, FOUND FRONT & REAR SUB FRAMES ROTTED OUT. ALSO REAR WHEEL BEARINGS BAD, BROKEN ABS TONE RINGS. REAR SUSPENSION LINKS SEIZED TO REAR SUB FRAME. I ALSO HAD TO REPLACE FRONT STRUTS & SWAY BAR BUSHINGS. (VERY POOR FOR A 10 YEAR OLD CAR)
I RECENTLY TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A LOCAL SHOP BECAUSE OF LOUD CLUNKING NOISES. THEY STATED THAT THE REAR SUSPENSION IS TOTALLY ROTTED OUT AND THE CLUNKING WAS BASICALLY THINGS SHIFTING AROUND UNDERNEATH. HE TOLD ME IT WAS A REAL SAFETY ISSUE AND SAID IT IS NOT SAFE TO BE ON THE ROAD. HE ALSO STATED THE FRONT IS ROTTED AS WELL.
RE:FRONT FRAME CROSSMEMBER. THESE PARTS WERE INSPECTED AS OK IN 2014 BY DEALER PER THE CHRYSLER WARRANTY EXTENSION LETTER ABOUT FRAME ROT. IN JULY 2018 ROT AND DETERIORATION DISCOVERED BY OWNER THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE PRIOR TO THE WARRANTY EXTENSION EXPIRATION IN JULY 2017. THE WARRANTY EXTENSION PERIOD WAS TOO SHORT AND CHRYSLER SHOULD HAVE HAD THE VEHICLES RE-INSPECTED FOR DETERIORATION THROUGHOUT THE WARRANTY PERIOD. I AM WANTING A FAIR RESOLUTION TO A NOW DANGEROUS SITUATION WITH MY VEHICLE.

"TAKATA RECALL" EVERY TIME I HAVE TO DRIVE MY 2007 JEEP COMPASS I AM SCARED FOR MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN. I HAVE HAD THE WHOLE CONTROL ARM AND TIE RODS REPLACED IN MY JEEP JUST A FEW MONTHS AGO DUE TO VERY LOUD SQUEEKING IN THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE, IT MAKES THE SOUND WHEN DRIVING SLOW OR FAST, ANY TINY MOVEMENT SUCH AS GETTING IN AND OUT OF THE VEHICLE WHILE NOT RUNNING MAKES THE LOUDEST SQUEAKING SOUND! ITS LIKE NAILS ON A CHALKBOARD! I ALREADY HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK IN DUE TO THE SAME SOUND THE FIX LASTED ABOUT 2 WEEKS! THERE IS SOMETHING MAJORLY WRONG WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL!
THIS HAS BEEN A KNOWN PROBLEM A LOT ( WHEN I GOOGLED IT ). THIS IS 100% GOING TO GET SOMEONE HURT OR MULTIPLE HURT !!! THE FRONT CROSS MEMBER AND FRONT SUB FRAME IS TOTALLY RUSTED OUT TO THE THE POINT OF AFFECTING ( STEERING AND STABILITY ) !!! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS WAITING FOR ???????? MY 17 YEAR OLD SON WAS DRIVING HOME FROM SCHOOL. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE FRONT END OF HIS JEEP COMPASS PULLED LEFT AND WAS VERY HARD TO STEER AND GRINDING VERY LOUD. THE FRONT LEFT TIRE WAS POINTING OUT AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS OFF CENTER. I TOOK IT TO THE GARAGE AND THE MAIN CROSS MEMBER RUSTED THROUGH AND BROKE. I CONTACTED JEEP AND THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS AN EXTENDED 10 YEAR WARRANTY ON THIS PARTS DUE TO THE SAME ISSUES. HOWEVER, THE 10 YEAR WARRANTY RAN OUT IN JULY 2016. IF THEY KNOW THAT THERE ARE ISSUES AND ALREADY EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 10 YEARS; WHY DON'T THEY MAKE IT RIGHT ON ALL THE VEHICLES.
TOOK VEHICLE TO BE SAFETY INSPECTED, AND IT FAILED BECAUSE THE REAR SUBFRAME OR CROSSMEMBER WAS ROTTED OUT..... THIS IS A PROBLEM KNOWN TO JEEP .... BUT THEY SAID THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.
I HAVE HAD THIS JEEP FOR LITTLE OVER A YEAR AND HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP, THE DRIVE CHAIN, FRONT CONTROL ARMS AND NOW I AM TOLD THAT THE SUBFRAME IS RUSTED AND APPARENTLY CRACKED AS IT MAKES AWFULLY LOAD NOISES IN THE BACK. I HAVE CONTACTED A JEEP DEALER TO CK ON THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SUBFRAME. I AGREE, DO NOT BUY A JEEP.
DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT 35 MPH AND BRAKING FOR A RED LIGHT THE JEEP FRONT END COLLAPSED AND THE VEHICLE SERVED TO THE LEFT. DEALER INSPECTION REVEALED THE FRONT CROSSMEMBER BROKE DUE TO CORROSION. THE REAR CROSSMEMBER WAS ALSO CORRODED. THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED EXCESSIVE & EXPENSIVE DAMAGED. CHRYSLER HAS NO RECALL ON THIS CORROSION PROBLEM ALTHOUGH IT HAS ISSUED AN ACTION UNDER 23-012-14. CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION WOULD PREVENT ANY POSSIBLE ACCIDENTS AND UNDERCARRIAGE DAMAGE BUT NO SUCH NOTIFICATION IS IN EFFECT. A SERVICE VISIT ON 10/2016 WITH INSPECTION DID NOT ALERT THE OWNER OR DEALER TO THIS DANGEROUS CONDITION OF CORROSION OF A CRITICAL STRUCTURE OF THE VEHICLE.
SUSPENSION SUBFRAME EXTREMELY WORN OUT AT AROUND 100,000MILES AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
THE VEHICLE WITH APPROX 120000 MILES ON IT IN 11/2015 HAD THE PASSENGER SIDE AND DRIVERS SIDE BALL JOINTS REPLACED. IN 4/2016 THE PASSENGER SIDE BALL JOINT FAILED AND PULLED OUT OF THE STEERING KNUCKLE AS I BACKED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, I HAD IT REPLACED. TWO WEEKS LATER THE DRIVER SIDE BALL JOINT PULLED OUT AS I MADE A RIGHT HAND TURN INTO A WALMART PARKING LOT. THE FAILURE CAUSED MY STRUT TO BE BENT, THE INNER AND OUTER TIE RODS TO BE TWISTED AROUND THE HALF SHAFT DRIVE AXLE, AND THE DRIVE AXLE TO BE PULLED OUT OF THE TRANSMISSION. MY LOWER CONTROL ARM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS WELL. LUCKILY MOST OF THE DAMAGE WAS COVERED UNDER MY INSURANCE. IF IT HAD HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY I'D HAVE NEEDED A CASKET AND AN UNDERTAKER AS WELL! YESTERDAY I WENT TO GET AN ALIGNMENT DONE - AND TO...

WHILE HAVING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE LOWER CONTROL ARM, SHOCKS, AND STRUTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,276.
STARTED HEARING CLUNKING NOISE UNDERNEATH THE FRONT. TOOK TO MECHANIC IMMEDIATELY AND HE SAID MY FRONT CROSSMEMBER WAS RUSTED OUT. HE TOLD ME JEEP COMPASS HAD ISSUED A EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE PROBLEM. T.S.B 23-012-14 IS THE SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER. MY MECHANIC ADVISED ME THAT IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND I WAS LUCKY TO EVEN GET IT THERE. I CALLED MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP DEALER TO GET PROBLEM FIXED. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND I ARRANGED A TOW TO GET IT THERE. HOWEVER ABOUT 10 MINUTES LATER THE DEALER SAID IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED BECAUSE IT WAS NOT PURCHASED IN ONE OF THE SALT BELT STATES BUT WAS BUILT IN THE TIME FRAME UNDER WARRANTY. IT WAS BOUGHT IN V.A. AND WAS NOT COVERED, BUT WEST VIRGINIA IS COVERED AND THAT IS ONLY 62 MILES OR ABOUT A 50 MINUTES. IN MY OPINION...
K FRAME BY DRIVER FRONTWHEEL SO RUSTED CRACK COMPLETELY IN HALF. WHEEL ENDED UP FACING 90 DEGREE TO LEFT. WHEEL AND FRAME ALMOST SEPARATED FROM JEEP. STRUT ONLY HOLDING IT ON. GOOD THING I WAS ONLY GOING ABOUT 5MPH IN PARKING LOT.
FRONT ENGINE CRADLE/SUB FRAME BROKE IN HALF WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL AND DAMAGE TO ADDITIONAL PARTS INCLUDING RACK AND PINION, CONTROL ARMS, ETC. AFTER EXAMINATION OF THE ENGINE CRADLE/SUB FRAME BY A MECHANIC AND MYSELF IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE ENGINE CRADLE/SUB FRAME HAD RUSTED SO SEVERELY THAT BROKE IN HALF UNDER THE NORMAL WEIGHT AND DRIVING STRESSES OF THE VEHICLE. EXAMINATION OF THE REAR SUB FRAME SHOWS THE SAME SIGNS OF RUST WHICH INCLUDE NUMEROUS HOLES APPROXIMATELY 1/2" +/- IN DIAMETER. THE UNI-BODY OF THE VEHICLE HAS NO SURFACE RUST OR MORE SEVERE RUST LOCATED ON ANY AREA ON THE VEHICLE. THE RUST IS SOLELY ISOLATED ON THE FRONT ENGINE CRADLE/SUB FRAME AND REAR SUB FRAME. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS AND PREMATURE FAILURE OF A VEHICLE.
I HAD MY VEHICLE IN FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND THE MECHANIC INFORMED ME THE FRONT AND REAR SUBFRAME IS ROTTEN AND HAVE HOLES IN THEM. HE FURTHER STATED THIS IS NOT NORMAL FOR A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE AND I SHOULD REPORT THE PROBLEM AND CALL CHRYSLER AS THIS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS PROBLEMS. *TR

HAD VEHICLE IN SHOP TO DO A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION, WAS TOLD THAT BOTH LOWER BALL JOINTS WERE BAD AND THEY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DRIVING VEHICLE WAS 40 MILES FROM HOME WITH NO WAY TO GET THERE HAD TO DRIVE THEY SAY IT WAS UNUSUAL FOR BOTH TO GO AT THAT LOW MILEAGE BUT THE COULD NOT FIND A RECALL SO I GOOGLED THE PROBLEM THERE IS NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF THIS. I'M JUST GOING TO LIST THE PROBLEMS WITH DATES TO MAKE IT EASIER TO GET A VISUAL OF THE PROBLEM! 2009 4X4 INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON - OIL LEAKING OUT OF SOME 4X4 BOX/BEARINGS MISSING WENT BAD 50,000 MILES CAN'T REMEMBER THE EXACT NAME OF THE PART, BUT COULD CALL THE DEALER AND FIND OUT WHAT IT WAS, 3/7/12 - CV NUT LOCK COVERS NEEDED REPLACED - RUSTED OUT, LEFT OUTER TIE ROD REPLACED, 3/17/13 - BOTH CONTROL ARMS REPLACED, 4/3/13 - RIGHT TIE ROD (INNER AND OUTER) REPLACED, 1/17/14, FRONT ENGINE CRADLE REPLACED, 3/28/14 - RIGHT WHEEL BEARING REPLACED, BOTH CONTROLS ARMS REPLACED AGAIN, AXLE REPLACED, 5/16/14 - NOTIFIED THAT RIGHT TIE ROD NEEDED REPLACED AGAIN. THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE MOST POORLY DESIGNED VEHICLES THAT I HAVE OWNED. IT CURRENTLY HAS 80,000 MILES ON IT AND ALL OF THE THINGS REPLACED SHOULD NOT HAVE NEEDED REPLACED...
MY 2007 JEEP COMPASS HAD BEEN MAKING CLUNKING AND SQUEAKING NOISES WHEN DRIVING OVER SMALL BUMPS AT LOW SPEEDS. THERE WAS ALSO A LOUD GRINDING NOISE WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL TO EITHER SIDE, ALSO HAPPENING AT LOW SPEEDS. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC WHO STATED I NEEDED TO REPLACE BOTH LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND BALL JOINT ASSEMBLIES AND BOTH OUTER TIE RODS ENDS. IT WAS ALSO STATED I NEEDED A NEW RIGHT STRUT. I WAS ADVISED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND I WAS MADE TO SIGN A PAPER STATING THEY HAD TOLD ME THIS. AT LESS THAN 42,000 MILES THESE ARE PARTS THAT SHOULD NOT BE MALFUNCTIONING AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY NOT ENDANGERING MY LIFE. *TR
I HEARD SOME NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR AT LOW SPEEDS. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE MECHANIC WHO DISCOVERED A GIANT CRACK IN THE A-FRAME, APPARENTLY DUE TO CORROSION. IT LOOKS LIKE THE METAL JUST RUSTED ALL THE WAY THROUGH. THIS FRAME HOLDS THE SUSPENSION TOGETHER, SO THE WHEEL COULD FALL OFF NOW THAT THE FRAME IS CRACKED. THIS COULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IF IT HAPPENS AT HIGH SPEEDS. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DEFECTIVE PART THAT SHOULD NOT BE FAILING AT 68,000 MILES OF A WELL-MAINTAINED CAR. THE REALLY BAD PART IS THAT THE PART PROBABLY ISN'T COVERED BY WARRANTY. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND THE PART SHOULD BE RECALLED AND REPAIRED BY JEEP. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS. *TR
AS I WROTE IN PREVIOUS COMMENTS, I HAVE SPENT OVER $11,000 OVER THIS PERIOD OF TIME. I HAVE REPLACED THE WHEEL HUBS, TIE ROD ENDS, THE FRONT SUSPENSION AND ALL RODS CONCERNING THE REAR. I HAVE REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION AT 98,000 MILES COSTING ME $3200. THE TRANSMISSION COULD NOT BE REPAIRED, THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE REPLACED. AND YES I HAVE 158,000 MILES, BUT IF YOU COMPARE $11,000 JUST ON REPAIRS TO THIS PILE OF CRAP. I HAVE COMPLAINED BEFORE, AND NOTHING HAPPENS. AS I WAS TOLD THERE WERE 14,000 COMPLAINTS JUST WHAT I HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT AND STILL NO RECALLS. I HAVE ASKED IF THEY COULD JUST LOOK INTO WHY JEEP COMPASS OWNERS ARE GOING THROUGH TIE ROD ENDS, WHEEL HUBS, SUSPENSIONS. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,725 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 155,000.
PURCHASED JEEP COMPASS NEW, NOV. 2007, IT'S DRIVEN 99% OF THE TIME BY WIFE TO/FROM WORK AT HOSP. DRIVEN LESS THAN 6,000 MILES PER YEAR. WIFE STATED HEARING A CREAKING/ SQUEEKING NOISE FROM FRONT OF CAR. I TOOK THE COMPASS TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT, THEY STATED IT WAS THE FRONT LEFT LOWER BALL JOINT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP COMPASS 4X4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD MAKE EXHIBIT A LOUD NOISE WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. A LOCAL MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE BALL JOINTS WERE DEFECTIVE AND THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE WITH REPAIRS TO THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
VEHICLE MADE SCREECHING SOUND, COMING FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT WHEEL WHILE TRAVELLING AT ABOUT 30MPH. WHEN VEHICLE WAS PARKED, OWNER NOTICED LEFT FRONT WHEEL TO BE TURNED OUT AND STANDING AT AN ANGLE. AFTER RAISING THE VEHICLE, OWNER NOTICED THAT A-FRAME CROSSBAR HAD RUSTED THROUGH COMPLETELY, RENDERING THE FRONT CONTROL ARM BOLT HANGING AWAY FROM THE FRAME. BOTH SIDE'S FRONT TIE RODS AND CONTROL ARMS HAD TO BE REPLACED AT APROXIMATELY 35000 MILES AND 70000 MILES. BOTH SIDE'S LINK TOW AND LINK REAR HAD TO BE REPLACED AT UNDER 70,000 MILES, AS ALL BOLTS HAD RUSTED TO THE FRAME. NEW TIRES WERE PURCHASED AT APPROXIMATELY 35,000 MILES, AGAIN AT 45,000 MILES AND AT 80,000 MILES. SHOCKS FOR FRONT WERE ALSO REPLACED TWICE ON BOTH SIDES. *TR UPDATED 06/14/2012 *JS

I BOUGHT A 2007 JEEP COMPASS 11 MONTHS AGO FROM LITHE CHEVROLET/DODGE/JEEP. IT HAD 64,000 MILES ON IT. IN THE 11 MONTHS THAT I HAVE HAD THE CAR THE RACK AND PINION AND STEERING PUMP HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE. AT MY EXPENSE. THE BALL JOINTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. LAST SUMMER, I HAD TO HAVE MY FRONT OUTER TIE ROD ENDS REPLACED AT 65,000 MILES. AT THAT TIME I HAD NEW BRAKE PADS INSTALLED.
