I was going home, speed limit 55 mph, so thats what I was doing. A suv entering a intersection ahead of me, ( i dont have a stop or yield sign, but they do) the suv never stops, rolling into the intersection, as im entering the intersection at 55 mph. I tried avoidance at last second to no avail. My front drivers corner smashed the middle, passenger side of the other suv. My Jeep continues to the right, uncontrollable, stops in someone's front yard, engine still running. The other car swerved to the left, still on the road, rolling on its side. My airbags never deployed, i didnt even get any lights on the dash, i had to shut the engine off. Not one airbag deployed, and nothing even recognized there was something wrong. There was a Recall on 2016 jeep cherrokee latitude fuel pumps - i think several years ago. This VIN Not on the list. But, the fuel pump has gone on this 2016 Jeep several weeks ago- vehicle stopped in busy city roadway. Towed to repair place -another make of fuel pump installed- then gas gauge not keeping track of gas . Called Jeep DEALERSHIP in Warren, Pa; and was told NO ONE HAS THESE MAIN JEEP FUEL Pumps. None in any 9 locations. They are on back order throughout the country. Sounds like there is a problem with the 2016 Jeep fuel pump. It needs to be recalled. This is a no brainer; and, not fair to Jeep customers that this issue wasn't made public and that the company didn't make a RECALL on THIS PUMP. There is a waiting lists for these pumps won't start distributing them till December....

Car goes into "limp mode" while driving. Will slow to a complete stop, not rev, and says "Shift to P then desired gear". All other components of car are on (battery barely a year old). Try to follow command prompt; after putting car in P, and shifting to D, it still won't rev. I was on an incline and began rolling backwards. Good thing no one was behind me at the time. Had to turn completely off. On startup, it's stuttering and takes a while to start. Turns on fine and will drive, but is physically jerking between gears. Then, the first time I have to stop for a significant time and idle, it will do it again. On two occasions within 5 days while driving the vehicle, (the vehicle was in motion) it suddenly stopped and the would not accelerate making a whining noise as if the car was in Neutral. The dashboard then said to put the car in Park. or Shift to Park. I tried to turn off the vehicle and it didn't immediately want to restart, it was full of gas but sounded like it was empty. I was able to finally turn it on.

I received an FCA recall notice, GW270231, for my 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude related to the Catalyst Efficiency-U90 recall on 1/22/24. . I attempted to schedule a recall service appointment at two different local Jeep/Chrysler dealerships. The first one (Aritioli Jeep) Enfield, CT. stated they were unable to obtain the correct parts and that I should keep calling their parts department to know when the parts were obtained. I scheduled the recall service with Bertera Jeep/Chrysler in West Springfield, MA for 2/29/24. I was informed on 2/26/24 that my appointment was canceled because they did not know when they would have the required parts. The service representative stated it would take months and advised I should call them for a status update each month. I need assistance and support to ensure the required parts are sent to the dealership so I can resolve this Jeep recall issue promptly.

For last yr i keep having car want stall did recall on it. Helped for bit, then it’s always wanting stick between 2/3 when trying change gears. While driving, when attempting to accelerate, the vehicle dies. Have to pull over, shift into park and attempt to restart. Sometimes restarts quickly, sometimes you have to crank and crank. Also dies if you have to stop suddenly. Example, when someone pulls out in front of you or changes lane/swerves in front of you. Problem was intermittent, in cold weather, when vehicle was cold. Now, it is likely to happen at any time. This creates a dangerous situation, trying to get off of the road when it dies. Check engine light is on, and "lightning bolt" dash light comes on when vehicle stalls. Ran diagnostic - revealed no code.

January 4, 2022 I was in and accident. My vehicle was in the repair shop for 90 days. The car was repaired and was in good working order. The other person involved in this accident was a 17 year old female. She was not injured.’ On 4/12/22 I took a trip, stopped for gas, attempted to make a left turn in the station but the car malfunctioned ( like a standard transmission) and ran over the center divider. I filled the tank and no problems afterwards. May 31, 2022 as I approached A left turn the car malfunction, (bucked like a stick shift.) TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE EXITING THE DRIVEWAY, THE CONTACT OBSERVED A FUEL SPILL UNDER THE VEHICLE NEAR THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THE SAFETY LOCK VALVE ON THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSTALLED DURING PRODUCTION, WHICH CAUSED THE FAILURE TO OCCUR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 8,200.

PROBLEM BEGAN WITH THE CAR BUCKING SIGNIFICANTLY AFTER CHANGING GEARS. THEN, WHEN THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE (BUT FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE), CAR WOULD START TO BUCK AGAIN, TRANSMISSION SLOWED, CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, KEPT BUCKING AND LIGHTS IN CAR DIMMER.
