Blindspot detection did not pick up car on my right side two times. Front collision warning is effected by the angle of the sun at certain times of the day. Dashboard dims randomly. Could be for a minute or much longer. Could dim on and off, or stay dimmed for over twenty minutes. Brought the car in twice for this problem. Claimed nothing found and tech reset the codes. Bought it in two weeks later, stating problem not fixed. Told them to check connection, suggested they might want to replace the cables, and its a known problem. Again, reset the codes. Only this time they fiddled with the dimmer control on the console and I can no longer adjust the setting.

During normal winter operation with the heater in use, the center console area becomes excessively hot. I have measured surface temperatures exceeding approximately 130°F using an infrared thermometer. The affected area includes interior touch surfaces, cup holders, and a factory-installed wireless phone charging pad. The heat appears to originate from HVAC ducting routed through the center console to supply the rear seat vents. Closing the rear vents does not reduce the console temperature, indicating heat transfer through the ducting rather than airflow. The condition is most severe after a warm-soak cycle (driving to operating temperature, briefly parking, then driving again). When a phone is placed in the intended storage or wireless charging area, the device overheats and triggers thermal protection warnings. The console surfaces also become hot enough to present a potential burn risk with prolonged skin contact. These temperatures exceed recommended ambient conditions for consumer electronics and lithium-ion batteries...

I’ve been driving this car for nearly a year, and during that time I have observed 6+ incidents when my instrument cluster went blank and rebooted in the middle of the road while the vehicle is moving. This seems to be widespread issue with no resolution from Hyundai what so ever. I have raised this issue with Hyundai as well.

WHEN OPERATING WILL SCREEN GOES BLANK ABD INDICATED “LOST SIGNAL” DURING THIS TIME NO SPEED INDICATION. ON HYUNDAI FORUM THERE ARE MANY WHO ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM.
#11710464 | Crash
There was an accident involving this vehicle where another vehicle pulled out in front causing a collision. There was damage only to the front of the vehicle which caused several malfunctions. Prior to the impact the break assist did not operate which may have prevented the collision but when the impact happened the seat belts locked in place and the driver side window would not roll down nor would the driver side door open. This seems to be a safety hazard as if the vehicle were on fire how would the driver be able to get out? The problem was reported to the dealer, with no resolution. I do have photos of the damage that can be available upon request.

Vehicle dash intermittently goes out. Flickers, goes dark, or shows every warning that exists on the panel. Could be unsafe as speed, gas gage, or other warnings that provide safety are going dark. Took it to dealer in Roseville, Ca. They tried to repair it, but problem began to occur again a week later. I have a video of it, but can’t show here.

Issue Type: Intermittent Electronic System Failure / Critical Safety Hazard Description of Incident: A severe safety-related incident occurred while driving at night on 12/29/2025, at approximately 5:48 pm. Under fully dark winter conditions in MA, while the vehicle was in motion with the headlights set to AUTO, the following events occurred: Total System Blackout: All interior and exterior lighting systems suddenly failed simultaneously, including the digital instrument cluster, infotainment display, and backlighting for all illuminated buttons and controls. The complete failure of exterior lighting and interior displays resulted in an immediate loss of forward visibility and access to critical driving information. Duration: The blackout lasted approximately two seconds before the system appeared to reboot. Recurrence: Approximately ten seconds after the first incident, the same total blackout occurred again under identical conditions. Vehicle Status: The engine remained running throughout the incidents; however, the simultaneous loss of lighting and instrumentation created an...

This vehicle has had numerous problems since I leased it. To summarize, at times the vehicle randomly shifts out of the ECO mode, usually into the SNOW mode. The engine has also raced, hesitated, bucked, rattled and vibrated when trying to change gears. Sometimes, these actions are subtle and sometimes they are borderline violent. This happens more frequently when the engine is cold. Additionally, the AEB system has activated a number of times while in stop and go traffic, even though the vehicle in front was moving forward. On at least 3 of these occasions, i barely avoided being rear-ended by the vehicle following me. The final issue that I have noticed is a problem with the odometer. It has appeared to work normally most of the time, but I have noticed times where I didn't think the odometer accurately reflected the distance I had traveled. I was able to...

Approximate date 10/7/2025. Driving 20mph clear daylight sunny conditions in right lane, another vehicle in left lane put on right blinker to merge in front of me into my lane. The merging vehicle was 3 car lengths ahead and had plenty of space to merge. Merging vehicle was only half way into right lane when without touching the brakes and no warning alarm the wheels locked up completely, skidding to a complete stop, almost got rear ended. 2 days later on 10/9/2025 same weather conditions while driving on highway the traffic was stop and go,speed 40mph. A vehicle ahead of me applied their brakes,no imminent threat, I placed my foot on brake pedal as a precaution, then brakes locked up so I pumped brakes thinking what else could I do? This did nothing, brakes remained locked until vehicle stopped. Almost got rear ended again. I can’t remember if any audible alarm or dash warning. These...

The dashboard and heads up display intermittently goes on and off. All warning lights are on when the dashboard comes back on. It goes off long enough to not know how fast you are going. Hyundai has this as a known issue for Limited trims of the Hyundai Tucson yet they only tell you to take it to the dealer for the vehicle to be fixed. Customers have taken their vehicle back to the dealership after the dealerships stated that the issue was fixed because the issue happens again a few days later. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed.

Component that fails & available for inspection upon request? HVAC heat exchange and faulty gas gauge. I drive from Minneapolis to Warroad, MN frequently and the floor wells has insufficient heat hence impairing use and safety in Minnesota's severe climate. I have videos on the following but I am unable to upload videos to your site: (1) when I have heat on high, full blast and to foot well ONLY, the dashboard vent is 115-143 degrees (using a digital food thermometer) and a ~60 degree difference with the footwell at 65-85 (although 85 degrees sounds warm at 1 degree outside my feet are very cold - I would be happy to have you test this with me). (2) Brand new SUV consistently 1.5 - 3 hrs to warm up. I explained to Hyundai this is NOT a software issue rather an HVAC air exchange issue. (3) The gas gauge consistently...

In October 2025, the center display screen in my 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid began shutting off repeatedly while the vehicle was in motion. The screen controls essential functions including speed information, navigation, backup camera, safety alerts, and hybrid system data. When it shuts off, all of these features become unavailable without warning. The failure is intermittent and continues to reoccur. The component involved is the center display/infotainment system and may affect related radar and safety-system warnings. The dealer stated they duplicated the issue and reported that it was repaired, but the same display failure occurred again afterward while I was driving. The vehicle is currently with the dealer and is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others is put at risk because when the screen shuts off, I lose access to critical vehicle information. This has happened at highway speeds, including one instance where the...

Attention warning... If you wear glasses that transition to dark, the system shuts down the car on cruise control. Numerous warning lights and bells. Take a break warning and sounds continuously popping up on the screen. There is no way to disable the eyes forward attention system. You cannot wear sunglasses as it can't see your eyes. I use my cruise control all the time. But the system shuts it down. This happens on all 2025 Hyundai equipped with the attention system.

Instrument cluster screen and HUD go entirely blank intermittently, for various lengths of time. Loss of speedometer is a safety issue. Also, have no idea of what other functions may, or may not be working. Dealer acknowledges seeing and servicing this problem for other owners. And Hyundai owners online forum report the same issue. Dealer has replacement component ordered, but not 100% sure of cause or solution. No warning whatever. First occurred shortly after purchase in July 2025, with less than 1000 miles on it.

2 times, while driving 35-40 mph, the vehicle automatically slammed hard on brakes to full stop without any danger or other vehicle near, causing neck pain/whip lash. 3 days ago, I attempted a U-turn in busy intersection, suddenly the vehicle braked hard and came to full stop without any danger near. The dash lights lit up, the vehicle stalled. I was in middle of very busy intersection. It would not move forward. I reversed just in time to miss being slammed into by fast moving oncoming traffic.

The FAWS Forward Assistance Warning System incorrectly identifies a "sleepy driver" and turns off Adaptive Cruise Control. FAWS has a dozen triggers that will cause this system to incorrectly alert the driver that his eyes aren't looking at the road and it turns off ACC. The FAWS has a turn off switch but it does not turn it off. So, without this safety feature of Adaptive Cruise Control, the driver just gets constant alerts to stay alert. Hyundai claims it is working "as designed" and has a suggestion to invest in specific sunglasses, or not be taller than 6'1" so the eyes can be detected, or don't wear a hat. Seriously, these are in the manual.

All warning lights illuminate and the dashboard showing the speedometer shuts off while driving as well as the heads up display. You have no idea how fast you are going or if you are have any warning lights.

My instrument cluster goes off/on intermittently causing a safety issue (I'm unable to see how fast I'm driving etc). The problem has happened to me everyday for the last 1.5 weeks, however the dealer has had the car for a week now and claims they can't replicate the issue to get the code to order the part (I have filed a complaint with Hyundai). I want to go on record as this is not a recall with hyundai yet, but I am aware it is a well known problem with 2025 Hyundai Tucson's according to a North America Facebook page I belong to where we discuss various topics (positive and negative) regarding our cars.

The following problems began 5 months ago, 8 months after purchase with about 4770 mileage and current mileage of about 7623: Multiple occurrences of Check Engine light coming on, sometimes setting DTC code, but often not setting code. Multiple occurrences of Crash Warning light coming on; It may have set a code or codes, but usually not. I think neither dealer was able to reproduce these 2 intermittent problems. Engine light, so far, has not occurred since it was traced to faulty connectors. As far as I know, the Crash Warning light has not come on since the dealer reduced front camera sensitivity. Also, for the past 5 months there has been intermittent, engine miss, skipping or cut-out. As of this writing it still occurs while driving and will lurch or buck if it happens under acceleration This is not frequent, but it happens erratically and it may happen only...

Control screen keeps going randomly blank, for different periods of time, putting the driver at risk, because the vehicle information, including speed, lights, wipers, basically everything is displayed in this screen. Sometimes the sentence NO SIGNAL shows up. I had experienced several scary situations, specially in freeways when raining, you have zero driving information. The car has been to the dealership service 4 times, with different tentatives of repair, none of which worked. The last time my car was at the dealership service for 25 days and after 2 days the problem was back, even worse. Sometimes all the lights of the control screen light up, with no reason and keep on even after the car is turned off. This is our only car and we need it, but the car is absolutely unsafe and unreliable. I refuse to leave the car for a 5th time, Hyundai has no idea...

I was driving the vehicle at 30 MPH when the power to the instrument cluster, infotainment center and headlights went out for approximately 1-2 seconds before recovering. Engine maintained power and acceleration during this period. During blackout I was unable to view speedometer nor other instrument information.

This vehicle is a pile of hot garbage. Front end collision system slams on the brakes when you are not even close to hitting something in front of you plus it will auto brake randomly but often. I was backing into a parking spot and someone walked in front of the car and it slammed on the brakes. Dealer says only way to fix this is to turn the entire safety system off. The coffee break warning has zero rhyme or reason and will go off 10+ times in a trip even though I am not distracted and use my turn signal changing lanes. Dealer states there is no way to turn this off. Dashboard randomly flashes and goes dark along with all lighting in and outside the vehicle. Dealer was unable to duplicate the problem and returned the car with no fix. Drove the car in the rain for...

My entire dashboard goes black and I lose all directions and functions in car. It happens when driving often. Additionally after taking to dealership, it's getting worse. Now warning lights come on and stay on such as master warning lights, batteries, power steering, etc. AC shuts off, the car misses out when driving between 25 and 30 mph. The dealership told me it's not safe to drive.

Vehicle: 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL Approximate Date of Incident: [XXX] Description of Problem: While driving at normal speed, the dashboard display and exterior lights suddenly turned off, then reset. The speedometer and warning lights disappeared, then reappeared after a few seconds. This has happened once and I am concerned for my safety, especially if driving at night or in traffic. This issue has been reported by several other owners online, and it appears to be a widespread electrical or software fault. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate and Hyundai issue a recall or fix. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument turned blank for several seconds. The contact stated that the failure had recurred several times while driving. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 2,300.

On two occasions, the dash lights kept blacking out, along with the Heads Up Display. On my way to the dealer for a maintenance appointment, all of the emergency lights came on and would not go away. After parking at the dealer service center, I told my service rep what happened, and when she restarted the vehicle, the lights were still on. I was immediately given a loaner. After making the repair, the mechanic asked to keep the vehicle to drive for a few days to make sure the problem didn't come back. I know these problems can reappear, even after they are fixed. I don't want to drive the car if the safety lights are all illuminated, but I also don't want to be stuck someplace without transportation.

The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, the instrument cluster went black; however, the radio was still playing. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent and occurred while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that occasionally the failure lasted for 20 minutes before the instrument cluster returned to normal function. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the coaxial cable needed to be adjusted. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact had taken the vehicle back to the same dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and informed the contact that the instrument cluster wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

Subject: Ongoing Electrical and Safety Issues with 2025 Hyundai Tucson Limited Complaint Description: I am reporting a recurring and serious safety issue with my 2025 Hyundai Tucson Limited. I am the original owner and purchased the vehicle brand new, directly off the truck. It has now been to the dealership four separate times for the same persistent “Check User Authentication” electrical issue. Most recently, the driver display screen went completely blank while driving and flashed a green “No Signal” warning. This made it impossible to see speed, warning indicators, fuel level, or other critical driving information. Losing all visibility of this data while in motion is extremely dangerous and creates a serious safety risk. The dealership first said it was caused by loose coax cables from the factory, but the problem continues. I also experienced a sudden, complete electrical failure while driving. The instrument cluster and infotainment shut off, speakers...

I leased a brand new 2025 Hyundai Tucson on March 15, 2025, with fewer than 10 miles on the odometer. Shortly after driving an additional 10 miles, the vehicle’s screen malfunctioned, displaying burn-in and becoming non-functional. This issue significantly affects safety, as it renders the backup camera unusable during operation. The vehicle was first brought in for service on March 17, 2025, but the issue was not resolved. Subsequent service attempts were made on March 20, April 9, and most recently on April 11, 2025. As of today, the problem remains unresolved. The vehicle has been in the service center for approximately 15 days since the date of purchase. In addition to the defective screen, the vehicle failed to start on one occasion, leaving me stranded alone in a parking lot, stuck in accessory mode with the brake locked. The car has also exhibited alignment issues, consistently pulling to the...
