The multipurpose camera that works to provide all the safety features failed In less than 8 years. These should be lasting for the life of the vehicle. There should be a recall for this.

The front facing camera has stopped working. Anytime we turn the vehicle on we get multiple warning lights (lane assist, cruise control, bright lights, braking, etc) aren't working.

Front camera is known to go out on these vans causing ACC, LKAS, Collision mitigation, road departure mitigation system, auto high beam, transmission problems and more.

Camera/Honda Sensing failure (U3000-49 code), causing loss of safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, collision mitigation

Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning systems stopped working simultaneously without warning. Upon further investigation, failure of the forward-facing camera is the likely root cause. Based on conversations in internet discussion forums [XXX] , [XXX] ), this is a common failure. There was a recall for the Odyssey to fix a wiring harness issue that could affect the back-up camera. I believe loss of the Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning systems is much more serious, with potentially catastrophic consequences. Since evidence suggests failure of the forward-facing camera happens frequently, I believe this issue should be treated with the same gravity as the back-up camera and a recall should be issued. It seems the front dash camera failed to operate which caused all safety systems that rely on it to fail

Suddenly one day in the morning taking my car from my garage, all alarms in my board turned on and stopped working: Automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, forward and collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance and rear cross traffic warning. I bring my car to the McLarty Honda service in Little Rock, AR. After calibration showed that I need a new multipurpose camera code U 3000-49. This is major concern for me. My van is in perfect shape, only 7 years old not so many miles. Doing some research sounds like this is an issue with Honda vehicles. My neighborhood is full of kids ( I have 3 kids too)with these large vehicles you can find a lot of blinds spots and these features help to keep everybody safe. I believe this a safety issue that need to be recalled in Honda's cars.

I have 6 error lights on my dash board. Road departure mitigation system problem, auto high-beam problem, collision mitigation system problem, lane keeping assist problem, Ada pat I’ve cruise control problem. My car was rear ended from an insured from Utica National insurance group. After my car was rear ended these error message came up. They fixed the car but refused to fix to have the lights removed because they said that these error lights do not come on after a rear end accident.

One light on dashboard lit up, started as "Blind Spot info system problem", light would go on and off for couple of years. All the systems are not working This is a very low mileage vehicle and has not been involved in any accidents. They are many owners reporting the same issue. This is a safety issue as it shuts off many of the safety features of this vehicle while driving. Honda claims it’s normal.

The monocular camera installed in the front windshield over time going bad. It happen because in California always sun overheating the car when car is parked and it overheat camers components and it failed. Multipurpose camera behind the front windshield was inspected by Honda dealership. They were able to verify it had a fault and needed to be replaced at a cost of around $1700. This camera controls many of the safety features this van advertises such as the the Lane Keep Assist and Collision Mitigation. While researching online, I was able to find multiple owners of the 2018-2019 Honda Odyssey that have had this same issue. Ebay has recently sold 3 of these cameras that have been salvaged from donors. This is an ongoing issue that Honda has not rectified. I believe this should absolutely be recalled.

UNKNOWN, though others who have reported this problem are saying the front camera and it's calibration are at fault. 5 Major safety systems are automatically disabled and on further troubleshooting by the dealer, all these issues are pointing to a faulty Front Collision Avoidance Camera. Upon startup of the vehicle the following Warnings flash on the dash: "Auto High-Beam Problem, ACC Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, LKAS Lane keeping Assist Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem." This problem is easily reproduced and occurs almost every time I start my vehicle. I had my battery tested and it was reported to be GOOD. The vehicle still drives correctly, but none of the safety features listed above work. If these features are going to be mandated on newer vehicles they should be reliable and function correctly. The front facing monocular camera has failed and my 2018 odyssey has less than 55k miles on it. Without the operation of this camera you cannot use the cruise control and the dash lights up with all kinds of warnings (lane mitigation failure, acc failure, brake light continuously on). This is a known faulty safety feature that is far to common for the newer odyssey models. This is ridiculous that Honda has put this system into their vehicles, in particular the odyssey and there needs to be a service bulletin to repair this issue or recall completely. It is obviously a faulty part and needs to be resolved.

The Honda monocular camera is apparently causing malfunctions and or warning lights. This is impacting many Odyssey owners according to my research. This should be addressed by Honda and reimbursement or repair covered as a recall.

My 2018 Honda Odyssey Elite as faulty camera system above rearview mirror according to our local Honda delaer. The dealer is asking for $1700 to replace this item. The front monocular camera (36160-THR-A03) completely stopped working. It is behind the rear view mirror, behind the front windshield. Errors displayed on dashboard indicating lane keep assist, forward collision warning, brake mitigation system, adaptive cruise control, and brake system lights turned on. (99% of the time). On occasion, transmission problem, blind spot detection, AND rear camera cross traffic detection (radar disabled) would also go on (3% of the time). While driving the vehicle on the freeway, the dashboard went completely BLACK for about 3-5 seconds, and I could not see my speed, fuel, odometer, and everything else.
