MANUAL TRANSMISSION KEEPS SLIPPING OUT OF 2ND GEAR AND CAN'T ENGAGE IN 2ND GEAR. WAS TOLD FROM TRANSMISSIONS SHOPS THAT THIS PROBLEM IS HAPPENING WITH OTHER 2015 HONDA ACCORDS WITH LOW MILEAGE.
STARTER GRINDS WHEN PRESS START BUTTON. HONDA WANTS $1000 TO FIX BUT IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE A RECALL....
THE CAR WAS MAKING CLICKING SOUND, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WASN'T ON. DROVE ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE SOUND START TO SOUND WORSE. SO DROVE BACK HOME, SPEED WAS DROPPING. IT SHUT OFF WHILE IDLING AT STOP SIGN. TOOK A WHILE TO TURN BACK ON. FINALLY TURNED BACK ON AND WAS ABLE TO GET HOME. HAVEN'T USED THE CAR SINCE. HAVE SOMEONE CHECK THE CAR BUT WHEN HE TRIED TO START THE CAR IT SOUND HORRIBLE SO HE TURN IT OFF AND SAID NOT TO TOUCH IT. HE WAS CHECKING TO SEE IF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. AND IT WASN'T. *TR

THE CONTACT LINKED THE FAILURE TO TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: A16-002. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 31,000.

MY TRANSMISSION WANT OUT YESTERDAY WITH 10400 MILES ON AND NO LIGHTS OR NOTHING CAME ON SAYING ABOUT TRANSMISSION
STICKING PISTON RINGS RESULTING IN HIGH ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION: VEHICLE MAINTAINED BY DEALER INCLUDING OIL CHANGES. VEHICLE HAS NO OIL IN RESERVOIR BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. VEHICLE BURNS OIL. PISTON RINGS STICK AND IT CAUSES OIL TO BURN EXCESSIVELY. THERE ARE MULTIPLE CAMPAIGNS THAT HONDA KNOWS ABOUT. THEY KNEW ABOUT TSB 17-089 AND STILL GAVE MY VEHICLE A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED STATUS WITHOUT FIXING THE ENGINE PROBLEM FIRST. IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE A VEHICLE WITH NO OIL IN IT!
AT ~92,500 MILES, THIS CAR HAS SUDDENLY BEGUN IN THE PAST WEEK TO SHUT OFF WHILE ACCELERATING/DRIVING (IN MOTION) ON SURFACE STREETS AND FREEWAYS. THE MULTIFUNCTION SCREEN AND/OR SOUND SYSTEM AND/OR DASH/ENGINE/ACCELERATION WILL SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING WHILE I AM OPERATING THE VEHICLE IN TRAFFIC ANYWHERE FROM 15-65 MPH. WHEN IT HAS HAPPENED, THE SYSTEM HAS QUICKLY REBOOTED AND ALLOWED ME TO RESUME DRIVING. IT FEELS VERY UNSAFE AND UNPREDICTABLE.
THE STARTER MOTOR SOLENOID FAILS TO ENGAGE CAUSING THE ENGINE TO NOT START. THIS STARTED AT AROUND 38,000 MILES AND HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE STARTER MOTOR.
I HAVE STARTED TO EXPERIENCE, NOW ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, GRINDING OF THE STARTER AS DESCRIBED IN HONDA TSB 16-002. APPARENTLY THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED BY OTHER CONSUMERS. I FEEL THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT HONDA CONTINUES TO DENY. I WISH TO ADD MY COMPLAINT TO THE OTHERS IN HOPES OF EVENTUALLY HAVING A RECALL ISSUED.
I HAD MY BATTERY CHECK DUE TO A BATTERY RECALL FROM HONDA. AFTER THEY FIXED THE ISSUE. I EXPERIENCE A HARD START AND THEN AFTER THE CAR START. I SEE ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON AND OTHER WARNING LIGHTS. ENGINE CODE P2101.
PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR STARTING. AFTER PRESSING THE START BUTTON IT SOUNDS LIKE STATIC, CLICKS, OR DOES NOTHING AT ALL. EXTENDED WARRANTY HAS REPLACED, BATTERY AND STARTER TWICE IN A 2 MONTH PERIOD AND STILL SAME PROBLEM. CAR ONLY HAS 56,000 MILES. DEALER CAN'T SEEM TO FIX PROBLEM. HAVE HAD CAR ONLY 13 MONTHS.
I TRIED TO START MY VEHICLE WITH THE PUSH BUTTON AND IT WON'T START. ONLY 62000 MILES AND THE BATTERY TESTED GOOD. SEEMS TO BE THE STARTER OR SOMETHING ELECTRONIC THAT IS FAILING. BUT SOMETIMES IT FIRES RIGHT UP. I'VE READ STARTERS HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE AND WANTED TO REPORT MINE AS WELL.

THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000.

THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED BY JOHN EAGLE HONDA OF HOUSTON (18787 NORTHWEST FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77065, (281) 955-6666); HOWEVER, THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE REPAIR WAS INSUFFICIENT. IN ADDITION, THE SERVICE ENGINE INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATING. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V121000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

PERIODICALLY MY CAR WOULDN'T START AND I WOULD GET A GRINDING SOUND FROM THE STARTER EARLY IN THE MORNING WHEN IT'S OARKED IN MY DRIVE WAY. ALSO WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING AFTER PUTTING A FULL TANK OF GAS IN MY CAR I WOULD SOMETIMES GET A BOGGING DOWN ISSUE AS IF I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH GAS OR AS IF THE MOTOR ISN'T GETTING ENOUGH GAS.
UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE. BATTERY TESTED FINE. HONDA DEALERSHIP TOLD ME TO REPLACE THE STARTER AND THE CAR STILL WON'T START TWO DAYS AFTER BEING REPLACED. THE RECALL FOR THE BATTERY SENSOR WAS ALSO DONE ON THE CAR AND THE CAR HAS BEEN VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF.
MY 2015 HONDA ACCORD AFTER 33,000 MILES IS GIVING ME A LOT OF PROBLEM BATTERY WISE. I HAD TO HAVE IT BOOSTED SEVERAL TIMES, I TOOK IT TO A HONDA DEALER WHO DID A THOROUGH CHECK AND WHO CLAIM THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BATTERY. EVEN BEING VERY CAREFUL ABOUT NOT LEAVING ANYTHING ELECTRIC WHEN THE POWER IS NOT ON, I STILL EXPERIENCE TREMENDOUS PROBLEMS WITH STARTING THE CAR; I HOPE I WONT HAVE TO CHANGE THE BATTERY AT 34,000 MILES AND BARELY 40 MONTHS OLD CAR. ALSO WHILE IN MOTION I EXPERIENCED THE CAR WANTING TO STALL, WITH THE POWER OF THE CAR SHUTTING DOWN FOR A SECOND OR 2. THERE WAS A RECALL HAVING TO DO WITH THE BATTERY.
THE STARTER BUTTON ONLY PRODUCES A CLICKING SOUND WHEN DEPRESSED. THE ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OVER AND DOES NOT START. THE CONDITION IS A SAFETY MATTER AS IT MAKES THE CAR UNUSABLE AND NOT AVAILABLE FOR EMERGENCIES.
I SEE THERE WAS A RECALL BECAUSE OF LOSS OF ENGINE POWER THAT MAY RESULT IN A VEHICLE STALL INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.IF THE ENGINE LEAKS OIL IN THE PROXIMITY OF A HOT ENGINE OR EXHAUST COMPONENTS ,THERE IS A RISK OF FIE. WELL THIS STALL OR NO POWER HAPPENS TO ME FREQUENTLY SINCE IVE OWN THE CAR. TOLD THEM ABOUT IT WHEN I WENT IN FOR OIL CHANGES BUT WAS NEVER WRITTEN DOWN OR LOOKED AT SO I JUST CHALKED IT UP AS DEALERSHIP DIDN'T WANT TO DEAL WITH IT SO I'D LET IT GO. SO WHEN I WAS LOOKING UP HONDA ROTO TROUBLES .I SAW THIS RECALL AN WONDERING WHY I DIDN'T GET A RECALL SINCE I THINK MY CAR FALLS INTO THIS. SHOULD BE CHECKED OUT AT NO COST TO ME FOR SURE THAT I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS DANGER FOR 4 YEARS AND IS...
STARTER DIES NOT START ALL THE TIME. PRESS BUTTON AND HEAR IT GRIND. CAR AS $42,000 MILES. DEALER SAYS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. I HAVE READ TONS OF COMPLAINTS THAT HONDA KNOWS ABOUT THIS. IT MAY STRAND ME IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER. ISSUE IS WITH 2013-2015 V6 ACCORD. DEALER WANTS $800 TO REPLACE WITH SAME DEFECTIVE PART.

WE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTIES. JUST A FEW MONTHS AGO, OUR NEIGHBOR HAD EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM - HE HAS A 2015 HONDA ACCORD AND HIS CAR'S STARTER WENT OUT. HE SPENT SOME $700 FIXING IT AND IT WAS ONLY A FEW MONTHS OUT OF 3 YEARS 36,000 MILES WARRANTY. THERE SEEMS TO BE A HIGH RATE OF STARTER FAILURES ON NEWER HONDA ACCORDS, WHICH MAY NECESSITATE A RECALL.
I TOOK MY CAR FOR A BATTERY RECALL. THE DEALER CORRECTED THE BATTERY RECALL BUT I NOTICED SOME ISSUES. MY CAR SOMETIMES EXPERIENCES HARD START AND THEN I WILL GET MULTIPLE ALERTS - ENGINE LIGHT, CHECK STEERING LIGHT, TRACTION LIGHT AND TIRE PRESSURE LOW LIGHT ON. I CHECKED THE INTERNET AND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN POSTED WITH SIMILAR ISSUE AND SYMPTOMS.
DIFFICULTY STARTING. KEYLESS ENTRY SENSES KEY BUT FAILS TO START WHEN BRAKE IS DEPRESSED AND IGNITION BUTTON IS PRESSED. HAPPENING MULTIPLE TIMES/WEEK AND BECOMING MORE FREQUENT. OFTEN STARTS AFTER 2-3 ATTEMPTS. NOT RESOLVED BY REPLACING BATTERY, RESOLVING BATTERY SENSOR RECALL, OR CHECKING FUEL PUMP. PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE STARTER AND HAS LEFT ME STRANDED WHEN CAR DOES NOT START.
ACCELERATION HESITATION. I HAVE BOW OWNED THIS CAR ONE YEAR AND TODAY (MAY 23, 2018) WAS THE 7TH TIME THAT HESITATING WHILE LEAVING A STOP SIGN OR SIGNAL LIGHT, HAS HAPPENED. TWICE ITS CAUSE A VEHICLE TO SLAM ON THEIR BRAKES BEHIND ME.

UPON BREAKING CAR ACCELERATED, HAPPENED ON TWO OCCASIONS, BROUGHT CAR TO HONDA AND THEY FOUND NO DEFECTS. HAPPENED AGAIN WITH MORE SEVERITY, INFORMED HONDA AND TO DATE THEY HAVE NOR CONTACTED ME REGARDING THIS SAME PROBLEM.

ALSO, EACH TIME THE VEHICLE DROVE OVER A BUMP IN THE ROAD, A LOUD NOISE OCCURRED COMING FROM THE BALL JOINT UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE THREE OCCUPANTS SUSTAINED UNKNOWN INJURIES AND WERE PROVIDED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE ALTERNATOR AND AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
WHEN STARTING CAR INITIALLY IN THE MORNINGS AND DRIVING CAR IN REVERSE WITH ONLY BRAKING AND NOT APPLYING ANY GAS, AFTER THE FIRST 10 FEET IN REVERSE THE ENGINE WILL REV UP BY ITSELF AND THEN STABILIZE, OR ENGINE WILL GULP AIR WITH ENGINE JERKING, OR ENGINE WILL REV UP VERY HIGH WITH THE FINAL LAST SOUND OF CLASHING METAL BETWEEN THE ENGINE/TRANSMISSION AND THE ENGINE DYING ON THE SPOT. THESE PROBLEMS ONLY OCCUR WITH THE INITIAL STARTING OF THE CAR AND ONLY IN REVERSE. THE CAR FUNCTIONS NORMALLY AFTER THE EVENTS DESCRIBED ABOVE. THE CAR IS ALWAYS GARAGED. THE ENGINE BEHAVIOR DESCRIBED IS INTERMITTENT AND UNPREDICATABLE. CLASHING METAL AND STOPPING OF ENGINE LAST OCCURRED JULY 26, 2017.
WHILE DRIVING ON A RURAL HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH AND SEEING A POSTED REDUCED SPEED LIMIT SIGN OF 45 MPH AHEAD, I STARTED SLOWING THE CAR BY DECREASING PRESSURE THE GAS PEDAL(NEVER REMOVING MY FOOT). AS I REACHED 45 MPH I INCREASED PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL AND FELT THE CAR BRAKING. I REMOVED PRESSURE FROM THE GAS PEDAL AND THE CAR CONTINUED TO COAST. I STEPPED(INCREASED PRESSURE) ON THE GAS PEDAL AGAIN AND I FELT THE CAR BRAKING AGAIN. I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE GAS PEDAL AND DOUBLED CHECKED MY FOOT POSITION AND I WAS USING THE GAS PEDAL. I MOVED MY FOOT TO THE BRAKE AND FELT THE BRAKES WERE WORKING. I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO AN OPEN AREA BESIDE THE HIGHWAY AND STOP THE CAR SAFELY. AFTER STOPPING I NOTICE THE ENGINE OIL AND SERVICE LIGHTS ON AND ENGINE WAS OFF BUT POWER WAS ON....
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE ENGINE, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GOADY HONDA IN ALHAMDIA, CALIFORNIA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR WAS FAULTY. THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 400.

SINCE THAT OCCURRENCE IT SEEMS AS IF I'VE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE. WHEN MAKING A LANE CHANGE AT A SPEED OF ~60MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR LOST CONTROL AND JERKED TOWARDS THE LEFT. IT ZIGZAGGED BETWEEN THE LEFT AND MIDDLE LANE AND HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE TWICE. ALTHOUGH DAMAGE TO OUR HONDA ACCORD WAS MAINLY COSMETIC, THE ENGINE WAS DEAD BEFORE/AFTER THE COLLISION. THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED IN NEW BRIGHTON, MN, AND THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CASE # IS 16507355. WE'VE REPORTED THIS ISSUE TO AMERICAN HONDA (CASE NUMBER 04824446) ON JULY 11TH, 2016, BUT DIDN'T RECEIVE PROPER ATTENTION. WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR IT STALLS AND HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING AND DRIVING. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS INVOLVING THE SHORT BOX AND IT CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR IF THE OLD LEAKS IT CAN CATCH ON FIRE. ENGINE MISFIRES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WITH THE TACHOMETER SURGING 1,000 RPM'S WITH EACH MISFIRE. YOU CANNOT MAINTAIN YOUR SPEED AND THEREFORE ARE NOT ABLE TO SAFELY DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY. TOOK IT TO A DEALER WHO STATED SOMEONE ELSE HAD RECENTLY BEEN IN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, BUT COULD NOT RECREATE THE PROBELM ON A TEST DRIVE. THEY RESET THE COMPUTER TO FACTORY SETTINGS, BUT DIDN'T HEAR BACK YET FROM THE OWNER IF IT RESOLVED THE ISSUE. THEY DIDN'T RESET MY CAR'S COMPUTER, HOWEVER. MY PROBLEM APPEARS TO MATCH THAT OF NHTSA ID NUMBER 10838521.
ENGINE MISFIRES AT 50-60 MPH WITH THE TACHOMETER SURGING FROM 1400 RPM TO 2500 RPM WITH EACH MISFIRE. YOU CANNOT MAINTAIN YOUR SPEED AND THEREFORE ARE NOT ABLE TO SAFELY DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT HONDA HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS ISSUE FOR SOME TIME BUT DOES NOT HAVE A FIX FOR IT YET.
WITH 800 MILES ON THE VEHICLE, IT STALLED AT 65 MPH. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY COULD NOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM. I TOLD THEM I DID NOT WANT THE CAR BACK UNTIL THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. AFTER 10 DAYS, WE RELUCTANTLY TOOK THE CAR BACK. THE DEALER SAID THEY REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO HONDA, BUT I REALLY DON'T KNOW IF THEY DID. THEY SAID "DRIVER ERROR". IN LATE NOVEMBER, WE RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL LETTER SAYING OUR CAR MIGHT STALL AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WE HAD THE SOFTWARE UPDATED, THE 4 DAYS LATER THE CAR STALLED AGAIN. THANKFULLY IN A PARKING LOT. IT TOOK 10 MINUTES TO GET IT STARTED. RIGHT AWAY, WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, REMOVED OUR LICENSE PLATES, AND INFORMED THE SERVICE MANAGER WE WOULD NOT DRIVE IT AGAIN. HE SAIS IT WAS "DRIVER ERROR". WHILE DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, EITHER ON THE HIGHWAY OR ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS, OCCASIONALLY, THE VEHICLE WILL HESITATE. THIS HESITATION WILL LAST 1-3 SECONDS AND THEN THE VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE AS EXPECTED. THIS HESITATION CAN CAUSE A DANGEROUS SITUATION SINCE THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE AS EXPECTED.
