The contact owned a 2022 Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pack RV. The contact stated that the battery of the RV was frequently drained by the refrigerator. The contact stated the generator of the RV was turned on, and while the Xbox of the contact's son, the refrigerator and other devices were plugged in, the contact noticed an abnormal burning odor. The contact exited the RV and noticed that the pizza box in front of the generator had caught on fire. The contact ran to the cargo residence that was 20 ft. away and informed her children that a fire had started. The contact stated that upon returning with a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, the contact noticed that the fire had extended to the fiberglass in front of the RV, and the front of the RV had caught on fire. The contact advised her children to run because the fire had extended to the propane tank, and the RV was about to explode. The contact and her children ran as far away as they could, and the contact heard explosions coming from the RV. The contact stated that the entire RV caught on fire. The fire extended and burned the contact's cargo residence that was located 20 ft. away. The fire burned and killed the contact's cats. The contact's convertible vehicle, boat, two four-wheeler UTVs, the truck of contact's son's truck, and a golf cart either melted or sustained heat damage due to the fire. The contact stated that storages located 40 ft. away from the RV and containing furniture, appliances, and clothes were damaged. The fire was extinguished by the fire department, and a fire department report was filed. It was unknown whether a police report was filed. There was no physical injury sustained, but the contact and her children sustained mental and emotional trauma. The RV was a total loss and remained at the scene. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 700.
