TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, TURNING, AND ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, IT TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD AND FAILED TO RESPOND. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION FORD (7200 BROAD ST, BROOKSVILLE, FL 34601, (352) 419-0810) AND LAKELAND FORD (1430 W MEMORIAL BLVD, LAKELAND, FL 33815, (863) 682-1100) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A TRANSMISSION SHUDDER TEST WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, 4 DAYS AFTER HAVING THE 2ND CLUTCH REPLACEMENT AT 30,000 MILES, IT WAS ON A STREET NOT HIGHWAY, THE CARS ELECTRONIC DASH DISPLAYED "TRANSMISSION FAULT FIX NOW". THE CAR THEN SLOWED DOWN A BIT LOSING POWER, THEN SEVERAL OTHER SIGNALS APPEARED ON SCREEN, BRAKES AND A FEW OTHERS, THEN THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN AND POWER WENT OUT. THE CAR WOULD NOT RESTART AFTER A FEW MINUTES, SO AAA CALLED TO TOW IT BACK TO DEALERSHIP. THIS HAPPENED SUNDAY JULY 28, 2019. MONDAY AFTERNOON, AFTER THEY HAD TIME TO LOOK AT VEHICLE, I RECEIVED A CALL TELLING ME THAT THE "ALTERNATOR " WAS FAULTY AND THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME WHEN THEY HAD THE REPLACEMENT WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE THE NEXT DAY.
