See attached document for complaint. I am writing because back in January I received a notice of recall to have the rearview camera replaced because of inverted, blank, or distorted image. I had that camera replaced for those very same symptoms several weeks before the recall was announced. After working at a Ford Dealer for 23 years, I do know that you refund the cost of any work done that would have fallen under a recall. The notice says that parts are unavailable now, but they were available, within on week, when I had the problem corrected. As such, I am asking for a refund now, because I know that some parts take nearly forever to get. For those vehicle sitting on lots that cannot be sold because of an open recall is very frustrating for the dealer. Again, I am asking for a refund now for work that would...

My camera (rearview) had been dysfunctional for quite sometime and I could not use it. I finally got it fixed 1/9/25 when I brought my car in for a oil change. I bought a great warranty and only had to pay my deductible of $100. Within a month, I got a recall letter for the same reason with the camera. I called Ford corp office and they told me to get the invoice from Ford and send it with the letter to you for reimbursement. So excited to get me $100.00 back for this. Rear backup camera stopped working

The rear back up camera works intermittently.

Back up camera shows upside down image. It also sometimes has lines through the image or a blue screen. It is not safe and I see others complaining about the same safety issue.

The rear back up camera has a blue screen, unable to see anything behind me.

2019 Ford Flex Back-up camera either upside or unavailable when the car is put into reverse. Car is available for inspection upon request. The software has been successfully updated multiple times. The camera going out or being upside down when backing up is definitely a safety issue. No inspection has taken place. The car is 5 years old and the camera worked for about the first two years. There were no warning signs for the problem. Thought a recall would be issued.

Rear view camera shows a black or blue screen on display. This happened the other day in the middle of backing my vehicle and caused a near miss with an person crossing behind vehicle. This is a major safety issue and i see ford has recalled almost every make and model for this same issue but not the flex.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera displayed an inverted image. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000. The VIN was unavailable.

The backup camera malfunctioned. The malfunction was reported to the Ford dealer. No replacement part is available from Ford. The car is still under warranty, but Ford is making no efforts to repair or replace this mandatory safety component of my car.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact stated while reversing out of a parking space, the back over prevention camera became blurry, making it difficult for the contact to properly see an image in the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 29,000.

REAR backup camera has upside down view. Tried various remedies (reset, and battery disconnect) to fix issue but when vehicle is put into reverse camera has view that is upside down. Dealer says camera and soft ware needs to be replaced but is not covered under vehicle warranty. I see Ford is now recalling other models with the same issue. Can you let me know if the 2019 Ford Flex will be recalled for the same camera issues?

The backup camera is flashing on and off when in reverse. Once it do stay on the video is cloudy, pixilated and flipped upside down. It also stays black screen for a bit then pops back on.
