TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-250 SD EQUIPPED WITH CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC TIRES, SIZE: LT275/65R18. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, A LOUD ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT FELT THE TREAD HITTING THE VEHICLE. UPON PULLING THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TREAD HAD COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM THE TIRE. THE VEHICLE HAD A SPARE TIRE INSTALLED BY THE TOW COMPANY. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 56,000.
