TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 FORD 250. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO WOBBLE ABNORMALLY. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED THAT ONE OF THE DRIVER SIDE TIRES WAS DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE DRIVERS SIDE MIRROR. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AT THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD BEFORE THE VEHICLE DROPPED TO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP FOR INSPECTION BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND A MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE RIM WAS FATIGUED OR DISINTEGRATED AND CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DECLARED AS DESTROYED AS A RESULT OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
