AC electric wiring becomes hot and only blows at 1 speed, also with time has become corroded diplaying a live open wire under passanger area, seems it is the following Block Heater Cable Splice Connector May Corrode Prolonged corrosion of the connector may cause a resistive short, overheating or melting the wiring and increasing the risk of a fire. safety recall 19V048 below Also I can not find an open recall for the following issue my vehicle still has now that I researched it, it is a recall and my ford has not been fixed inregards to the following, Block Heater Cable Splice Connector May Corrode THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE HOUSING EMBOSSMENT RETAINING THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE SPRING MAY FRACTURE DURING NORMAL USAGE RESULTING IN INSUFFICIENT SPRING FORCE TO RETURN THE HANDLE TO THE FULLY STOWED POSITION.
There's been recalls on the 2009 Ford f150 and my car is having hydraulic pump issues and a couple other issues that were recalled and I was just trying to get some assistance?
Same old fuse issue, with only 56,000 miles. Ford is aware, they have a kit to by pass the problem, how ever they will not pay for repair (no recall). Cost almost $500.00 to fix their poor design issue. Buyers beware.
VEHICLE DIED WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET. ENGINE WOULD TURN OVER BUT NOT FIRE. HAD TO BE TOWED TO FORD DEALER AT COST OF $90. WAS ADVISED BY DEALER SERVICE THAT THE PROBLEM WAS FUSE 27 MELTED AND DAMAGED THE FUSE BOX. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR F-150 VEHICLES FOR YEARS 2009 - 2014. TSB 15-0137 WAS ISSUED IN SEPTEMBER OF 2015 BUT NO RECALL WAS ISSUED. COST TO REPAIR WAS $466 OUT OF MY POCKET. FOR A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH SIX MODEL YEARS THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL. JUST GLAD I WAS NOT ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
PROBLEM 1: MY TRUCKS TRACTION CONTROL ENGAGES ON SNOW AND THROWS THE WHEELS INTO A SLIDE RATHER THAN STABILIZES THE VEHICLE. I TURN SWAY AND/OR TRACTION CONTROL OFF AND IT TURNS ITSELF BACK ON WHENEVER I STOP AND THEN GET BACK IN AND RESTART THE TRUCK. PROBLEM 2: THIS TRUCK WILL NOT GIVE AN ACCURATE READ ON GAS IN THE TANK AS THE NEEDLE IS ALWAYS GETTING STUCK. I GAUGE BY MILES GONE AS TO WHEN I NEED GAS. PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT CAUGHT ON FIRE FROM THE SEAT HEATER. KEPT SMELL A BURNING SMELL AND COULD NOT DETERMINE THE SOURCE. PARKED THE TRUCK AND LOOKED OUTS DE ABOUT AN HOUR LATER. DRIVING ON A CITY STREET WHEN THE ENGINE SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN AND QUIT RUNNING. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A SEMI TRUCK AND ONLY AVOIDED A MAJOR ACCIDENT BECAUSE I HAD ROOM TO GO TO THE RIGHT AND THE SEMI HAD ROOM TO SWERVE AROUND ME ON THE LEFT. WHEN I HAD IT TOWED TO THE FORD DEALER THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS A MELTED FUSE BUT THAT THEY WERE ALREADY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND HAD A "FIX" KIT IN STOCK AND THE REPAIR PROCESS ALREADY DOCUMENTED TO REROUTE THAT FUSE. THIS MEANS THAT FORD IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND I PRESUME WAS JUST WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE BEFORE ISSUING A RECALL.I HAVE THE REPAIR ORDER AVAILABLE IF NEEDED. WHEN I CONTACTED FORD DIRECTLY THEY INFORMED ME THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THEREFORE I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE $650.00 COST AND DID NOT SEEM...
THE TRUCK IS SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING AND AT ALL SPEEDS. MY HUSBAND HAS TO PULL AND RESET FUSE 27 TO ALLOW THE FUEL PUMP TO RECIEVE POWER. THIS HAS PUT MY HUSBAND IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS AS IT HAS HAPPENED IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON TWO LANE HIGHWAYS. WE ARE REQUESTING A SERVICE VOUCHER BE SENT TO OUR LOCAL DEALER TO FIX THE PROBLEM WE UNDERSTAND HAS ALREADY HAD A BULLETIN SENT OUT FOR. TRUCK STALLED AND LOST TRANSMISSION POWER IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY HIGHWAY. WAITED 20MIN ON SHOULDER AND TRUCK STARTED AND RAN FINE. THIS HAS HAPPENED PERIODICALLY OVER THE LAST YEAR WITH NO ERROR CODES FOUND DURING DIAGNOSTICS RELATED. NOW HAPPING MORE FREQUENT AND YESTERDAY THE TRUCK STALLED AGAIN AND NOW WILL NOT START. RESEARCHED AND FOUND A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ABOUT FORD PCM/TCM FAILURES WHICH DESCRIBED MY SYMPTOMS PERFECTLY. NEXT ISSUE IS AT 55MPH THE TRUCK TRIED TO GO INTO 4-LOW, WHICH SHUT THE TRUCK DOWN ON THE HIGH WAY AND ALMOST WENT OFF THE ROAD. ERROR CODE FOUND DURING DIAGNOSTICS WAS THE "COMMUNICATION TO TRANSFER CASE SHIFT MOTOR"
FIRST THE RIGHT REAR DOOR SHOWS THAT THE DOOR IS AJAR SO THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STAYS ON WHILE DRIVING FOR ABOUT TEN MILES BEFORE THEY GO OUT AND WHEN YOU STOP THE VEHICLE AND GET OUT THE LIGHTS STAY ON FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES SO IT RUNS THE BATTERY DOWN. SECOND THING IS THE DRIVERS DOOR HANDLE DON'T RETURN TO THE CLOSED POSITION IT STAYS HALF WAY OUT AND A PIECE OF PLASTIC FELL OUT OF DOOR HANDLE I CONTACTED THE FORD COMPANY ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT THE PROBLEMS. I MYSELF THINK THAT THESE PROBLEMS ARE A SAFETY PROBLEM AND VERY AGGRAVATING

THE REAR DOOR WIRING HARNESSES ARE UNDER/POORLY ENGINEERED FOR NORMAL USAGE AND DURABILITY AND ARE SUBJECT TO PREMATURE BREAKAGE SPECIFICALLY WHERE THE BODY MEETS THE DOOR RESULTING IN MULTIPLE EXPOSED WIRES CAUSING FIRST AND FOREMOST THE DANGEROUS POTENTIAL FOR VEHICLE FIRE AS WELL AS INOPERABLE DOOR AJAR SENSORS, ELECTRONIC LOCKS, WINDOW CONTROL AND INTERIOR LIGHTING.

APPROACHING AN YELLOW LIGHT AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH I HIT THE GAS PEDAL HARD FOR PASSING GEAR. THE ACCELERATOR STUCK, THE ENGINE ROARING, I HAD TO STEP AS HARD AS POSSIBLE TO STOP THE TRUCK SO I WOULD NOT HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. ENGINE WOULD NOT STOP ACCELERATING FORCING ME TO TURN OFF THE TRUCK. SHOCKED, I SAT IN TRAFFIC FOR A MOMENT BEFORE I RESTARTED THE ENGINE, BUT IT IMMEDIATELY WENT TO FULL SPEED AGAIN, FORCING ME TO AGAIN TURN OFF THE ENGINE. THE TECHNICIAN INSTRUCTED THAT AS A TEMPORARY REMEDY, HE SHOULD REMOVE THE POSITIVE CHARGE CABLE FROM THE BATTERY AND PUT IT BACK, IN ORDER TO RE-START THE COMPUTER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURE HOWEVER, HE STATED THAT THERE WAS A LOSS OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE BODY MODULE AND THE COMPUTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 34,500.
I BOUGHT A PREOWNED 2009 FORD F-150 IN NOVEMBER 2011 WITH 49000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. I HAD ALWAYS COMPLAINED THE INSTRUMENT GAUGES WERE DIFFICULT TO SEE. I FINALLY INVESTIGATED AND REALIZED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL IS NOT ILLUMINATED UNDER DAYLIGHT CONDITIONS. IT IS ONLY ILLUMINATED WHEN THE PARKING LIGHTS OR HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. THE ONLY WAY TO GET ILLUMINATION DURING DAYLIGHT IS TO COVER THE LIGHT SENSOR THUS SIMULATING DARKNESS. THIS,HOWEVER, ONLY ILLUMINATES THE GAUGES AT THE LOWER SETTING FOR NIGHTTIME DRIVING. FOUL ODOR DEVELOPED IN VEHICLE, CONSISTENT WITH MOLD AND MILDEW. ENTIRE CARPET PAD FOUND TO BE WET. INSPECTION AT DEALER REVEALED LEAKING THIRD TAIL LIGHT. DEALER NOTED THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. I WAS ENTERING AN ON-RAMP ONTO THE INTERSTATE AND ACCELERATING AT THE TIME. AS I WAS NEARING THE END OF THE RAMP, I FELT THE TRUCK WAS TRAVELING FASTER THAN I HAD INTENDED. I REMOVED MY FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR ONLY TO HEAR THE ENGINE REVVING AND WATCHED THE SPEEDOMETER CONTINUE TO CLIMB. I WAS TRAVELING BETWEEN 80-85 MPH BY THE TIME I WAS ENTERING THE INTERSTATE APPROACHING A TRACTOR TRAILER TRUCK. I STOOD WITH BOTH FEET, STRAIGHT LEGGED WITH 130 POUNDS ON THE BRAKE WHILE NOT ONLY TRYING TO AVOID THE TRACTOR TRAILER IN FRONT OF ME, BUT WATCHING ANOTHER TRACTOR TRAILER APPROACHING ME FROM BEHIND. MY SPEED CONTINUED TO CLIMB AS THE ACCELERATOR REMAINED STUCK. AFTER APPROXIMATELY HALF A MILE OF ME STANDING ON THE BRAKE, I HEARD A LOUD BANG AS THE ACCELERATOR LET GO AND MY BRAKING TOOK EFFECT. I WA TRAVELING ON I-20 EAST TRAVELING FROM VICKSBURG, MS HEADING TO ATLANTA, GA. I HAD BEEN USING THE CRUISE CONTROL CONSISTENTLY FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS. I ALSO WAS USING THE ACCELERATE & DECELERATE BUTTONS ON THE STEERING COLUMN. I APPROACHED A SLIGHT CURVE IN BIRMINGHAM, AL WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL LOCKED IN AT 60 MPH, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED FULL THROTTLE. I APPLIED FOOT PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN. IT CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE TO ABOUT 85 MPH. I THEN SOMEWHAT RAISED UP IN THE SEAT TO APPLY ALL THE FOOT PRESSURE I COULD TO THE BRAKE. IT SLOWED DOWN SLIGHTLY. WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, IT BEGAN TO SPEED UP AGAIN. TRUCK PARKED IN GARAGE FROM SAT EVENING 4/21/2012 FROM SHORT 9 MILE TRIP. TRUCK STARTED AROUND 10:30 A.M. SUN 4/22/2012. REMOVED FROM GARAGE FOR 3 MINUTES THEN RETURNED TO GARAGE. SHUT OFF. LEFT RESIDENCE IN ANOTHER VEHICLE. RETURNED AROUND 7:30 P.M. OPENED THE GARAGE TO FIND A SMOKY HAZE COMING FROM IT. THE ENTIRE GARAGE WAS HOT. I NOTICED DRIPS OF SOME SUBSTANCE UNDER THE TRUCK AND ON THE RUNNING BOARDS. I IMMEDIATELY REALIZED IT WAS THE UNDERCOATING THAT WAS WARM ENOUGH TO MELT AND DRIP. I GOT INTO THE TRUCK TO START IT UP BUT THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. IT WAS WARM ENOUGH IN THE CAB OF THE TRUCK TO LIQUEFY TOOTSY ROLLS THAT WERE IN THERE. TRUCK PURCHASED 3-30-2011. 9-2011 NEEDED TO HAVE BATTERY JUMPED. CLEANED BATTERY POSTS. SEEMED FINE. 12-19-2011 BATTERY WENT DEAD. AAA REPLACED BATTERY. 01-31-2012 BATTERY WENT DEAD AGAIN. AAA CAME AND SAID THE BATTERY WAS FINE. HAD IT JUMPED AND TOOK IT TO HOLMAN IN MAPLE SHADE, NJ. THEY KEPT THE TRUCK FOR FIVE DAYS AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. WHEN AAA CAME THEY SAID IT SEEMED AS IF SOMETHING WAS PULLING FROM THE BATTERY HOLMAN SAID IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN NOT TO HAVE IT JUMPED JUST HAVE IT TOWED. SEEMS IT MAY BE ELECTRICAL. NOT REALLY SURE.
THE FAN BLOWER SPEED CONTROL STUCK ON HIGH ONLY AND WAS REPLACED 09/2011. THE VEHICLE KEPT STALLING OUT UPON DECELERATION GOING DOWN THE ROAD. WITH LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES WHEN THIS HAPPENS. COULD BE GOING 30 MPH OR 60 MPH. WHEN GET MOTOR IS STARTED AGAIN IT USUALLY RUNS ROUGH. THE LEFT OXYGEN SENSOR CODE WAS ON SO THIS WAS REPLACED. 11/2011 THE FUEL GAUGE ALSO STOPPED READING FUEL IN THE TANK WHEN THIS HAPPENS. REPLACED FUEL PUMP IN TANK, FUEL FILTER, FUEL POWER MODULE, ALL WAS FINE FOR THREE WEEKS. TRUCK DIES 8 TIMES TODAY AND ALL THE SAME PROBLEMS ARE BACK. ENGINE LIGHT ON, FUEL GAUGE STOPPED WORKING, TRUCK RUNS ROUGH FOR AWHILE WHEN RESTARTED THEN CLEARS UP. VEHICLE HAS STALLED/SHUT DOWN ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS DURING OPERATION. THE FIRST TWO TIMES THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE STOPPING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. DURING THE LATEST OCCURRENCE THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE NAVIGATING A LEFT TURN THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. THE STALL RESULTED IN A POWER STEERING AND BRAKES FAILURE. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE WITHOUT INCIDENT BECAUSE THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC. THE LATEST INCIDENT OCCURRED ON 05/23/2011. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE LOCAL FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT BUT THEY CANNOT RECREATED THE PROBLEM AND THEREFORE HAVE NO SOLUTION. I HAVE ALSO NOTIFIED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE OF THE PROBLEM. THERE HAVE BEEN SIX OTHER QUALITY ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE INSTRUCTED ME TO CONTINUE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND REPORT THE INCIDENT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD F-150. WHILE STOPPED WITH THE BRAKES DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE ABNORMALLY ACCELERATED RESULTING IN A CRASH. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHEN REVERSING, THE REAR VIEW CAMERA WOULD NOT ALERT HIM THAT HE WAS REVERSING INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER BUT NOT REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 37,000.
AT AROUND 3500 MILES ON MY 2009 FORD F150 SUPERCREW, I NOTICED A MILDEW SMELL AND CONDENSATION FORMING ON THE INSIDE OF MY WINDOWS. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND IT IS DUE TO LIQUID IN THE CAB SOMEWHERE. I PULLED UP EACH KICKPLATE AND FOUND THE PROBLEM TO BE UNDER MY RIGHT REAR CAB KICKPLATE. WATER WAS ACCUMULATING DOWN THERE WITH ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED IT WAS DUE TO THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT. IT WAS REPLACED. AT 5000, I NOTICED THE SMELL AGAIN AND KNEW RIGHT WHERE TO LOOK. I DID AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE SAME THIRD BRAKE LIGHT ONLY THEY SAID THIS ONE HAD A STRONGER SEAL. I JUST HIT 6500 MILES AND NOTICED THE SAME PROBLEM AND SMELL, AND POPPED THE KICKPLATE AND HAD THE WATER AGAIN....

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD F-150. WHILE READING THE OWNERS MANUAL, THE CONTACT REALIZED THAT THE VEHICLES ELECTRONIC TRAILER SWAY CONTROL SYSTEM WAS DISABLED. THE SYSTEM WAS ENABLED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED ON BUT WHEN IT WAS TURNED OFF, THE SYSTEM DISABLED AND COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A CRASH ACCORDING TO THE OWNERS MANUAL. I HAVE HAD NO ANSWER TO MY CONCERN. I PURCHASED A NEW 2009 FORD XLT FOUR DOOR EXTENDED CAB PICKUP IN FEBRUARY. IN APRIL 2009, I NOTICED THAT THE INSIDE DASH LIGHTS (GAUGES, SPEEDOMETER, ETC.) CAME ON ONLY WHEN IT WAS VERY DARK OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THIS IS TRUE WHETHER THE LIGHT SWITCH IS IN THE MANUAL OR THE AUTOMATIC POSITION. THE DASH LIGHTS WILL NOT RESPOND WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ILLUMINATED IN THE MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC POSITION UNLESS IT IS VERY DARK OUTSIDE OR YOU PLACE YOUR FINGER OVER THE ELECTRIC EYE. THE FORD DEALER FROM WHOM I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AGREED THAT THE DASH LIGHTS SHOULD ILLUMINATE WHENEVER THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON AND KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR FIVE DAYS TRYING TO FIND THE PROBLEM.
