Wipers failed during rain storm. Wipers initially started to operate sporadically and then stopped. Later they worked fine. Wipers then started to fail to operate every morning but if switch left on would randomly start working. Vehicle was taken in for service Vice but was told the issue could not be duplicated. As weather reached freezing temperatures wipers quit working completely. Replaced wiper motor myself and issue was fixed. Found out after replacing the motor had been previously replaced as part of a safety recall in April 2023.

There is a recall for my vehicle that I cannot get fixed unless I go 150+ miles away to get it serviced at another dealership. The dealership near me, which is where I purchased new from, says it needs to go to a dealership that has a body shop which theirs does not have. I don't think it should be on me to drive half the state to get remedied and why they can't use a local body shop to perform the repair. And they won't even give me the names of dealerships that I could use. Manufacturer Recall Number 21C06 NHTSA Recall Number 21V090

2021 FORD 150. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO INOPERATIVE WIPER MOTOR.

In April 0f 2022 I received a recall notice NHTSA 22V142 stating that my windshield wiper motor could stop working at any time. The recall has not been taken care of as of today 9-21-2022. I spoke with my dealership yesterday and they said that they have been told by Ford Motor Co. that they are Not to order the replacement motor to fix the issue unless the customer comes in with a broken motor. Why do we the customer have to wait until the motor stops working before this issue is fixed? What if it breaks during travel in heavy rain? The recall does state that this issue increases the risk of a crash. Ford is still building trucks that requires the part needed to fix my truck, so why am I having to risk getting caught in the rain? your help would be greatly appreciated.

Complaint 1: Mar 14,2022 Manufacturer Recall Number22S12 NHTSA Recall Number22V-142 Parts for recall has not been made available yet, promised for 2nd quarter. We are not into 3rd quarter. How can Ford still produce new trucks if parts are not available to fix existing trucks on the road as it is a safety concern? Complaint 2: Error code P2C44 - requires replacement of Auxiliary Battery Insulator from Ford's internal doc SSM 50976. Was told part is also backed ordered for 45 days. Again how can Ford build new trucks if parts are not available! Please make them fix existing trucks on the road first before new trucks are built! What good are warranties when it takes months to fix.
