TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE, AN ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE ENGINE. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STUTTERED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PLUG AND IGNITION COIL WERE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED EIGHT MONTHS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE SAME FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.

I SPENT $800 TO HAVE THE IT RE-THREAD. 4 WEEKS LATER, A DIFFERENT SPARK PLUG DID THE SAME THING. AT THAT TIME, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD CHECK ALL OF THE SPARK PLUGS TO ENSURE THAT THEY WERE TIGHT. 4 WEEKS AFTER THAT, THE IGNITION COIL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED IN THAT PLUG AND THE PLUG NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY CLAIMED THAT THEIR REPAIRS HAD NOT...
DT: THE CONSUMER OWNS A 2002 FORD EXPEDITION. THE SPARK PLUG BLEW THREW THE CYLINDER TO THE ENGINE. THE ENTIRE ENGINE WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED. FORD ACTS LIKE THEY HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. CONSUMER HAS SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON VARIOUS WEBSITES. THE CAR WAS AT A DEAD STOP AT A RED LIGHT, WHEN CONSUMER HEARD A POP THAT CAME FROM THE SPARK PLUG. *TT
