Cusumer choice automotive 1706 lower Roswell rd. Sold me a vehicle with a branded title with /knowledge it was a total loss vehicle now the ABS and traction lights or on the seatbelt deployed light is on air sensor light on and brakes or grinding I purchased on 10-4- 2025 this is November-20-2025 I asked for refund and to cancel they say as is not sure this is a wreck or flooded vehicle
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed and the Push to START button was pressed; however, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the brake pedal felt firm and added force was needed to depress the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed with ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) system failure. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that most recently, the failure reoccurred, and the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired after the most recent failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Recently I have been having issues with the rear back up camera in the vehicle not working turning off beeping when nothing is around, also glitching and showing the camera upside down. I am also experiencing battery drainage in the vehicle I have just had the battery replaced and the alternator replaced as well, while I am searching online for common issues this seems to be happening to a large amount of people and the issues just keep equaling out to more then one problem. Motors staying on, electrical problems, constant power draws, many more issues I have many links to articles with dodge journey owners having numerous issues and dodge not wanting to fix anything or recall things to fix their mistakes. Battery, car started turning off. Turned off on us when we made a stop right after getting off of freeway, luckily no car were coming. Changed Battery but still had problems. Then check engine light turned on, car stared pulling, had a mechanic check it and said it was the engine. We would have to replace it and that's those kind of cars we're having a lot of problems.
Electrical system keeps failing. Ecm emitts erroneous commands and changing it doesn’t solve the problem. Dealer won’t work on it and Chrysler doesn’t know. Research says that this is happening by the thousands.
The car inside electrical would turn on, radio on, lighting on, fan on, but the engine light would be on and the car would not start. Not even a tow truck can jump it. I've fixed it once and they said it was the alternator, but that was 6 mths ago.
I was getting into leave my car and three lights came up. The traction light, ABS, and my Brake light. It rained really hard yesterday and now I have all three lights on my dash. Supposedly the recall is no more and I have to pay out of pocket. I just bought this car back in May of 2022. I should not be held responsible for paying out of pocket for this recall. I need help getting this fixed.
Our 2013 Dodge Journey (only owners) has had a few recalls and had multiple challenges with overheating within the engine. Although, We have had all the recalls we are aware of completed it continues to shut off and not start. Ours, our children, and other passengers safety has been at risk as we have been strained with no running vehicle and the unknown if the vehicle will just shut off while in operation. While we can not guarantee the sources of the general internet it is a common search and alignment to say an abundance of 2013 Dodge Journey owners have experienced this and have been searching for answers yet have not received an adequate response. Our vehicle has been inspected by a Dodge facility, and two other independent mechanics to no avail we are in this situation with no answers nor solutions. Our check engine light has been present...
Vehicle will not start. Took to dealership and they charged battery. After repairing some recommendations I got the car back and it wouldn’t start. Same issue as before, I took it back and they said it was dead battery. I paid for a new battery and drove it home. Next day it would not start. I’ve been reading some reader boards and I’m told it has to do with wiring to the transmission. It gets cold in Alaska and my daughter and granddaughter can’t be stranded in inclement weather. Tested the starter and the alternator and both are good. New battery and new key fob battery and still a no go. Dodge needs to figure this out, as their certified mechanics can’t seem to diagnose the issue.
MY CAR STALLED ON ME WHILE DRIVING. THE FIRST TIME (2014) IT HAPPENED I WAS MAKING A TURN ON A CITY STREET. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. MY REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER DIED ON MY 2013 DODGE JOURNEY OVER A YEAR AGO, I WAS TOLD BY DODGE THAT I NEEDED A NEW MOTOR, SO I PURCHASED ONE ON MY OWN, AND IT DIDN'T WORK. SO I RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE TO FIND OUT THAT, IT WAS A WIRING HARNESS THAT WAS CUT FROM REAR DOOR OPENING AND CLOSING I FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT HAS THE SAME ISSUE THIS ISSUE SHOWED EXPOSED WIRING. EVERY TIME WITCH COULD. THUS THE 4TH TIME WIN THIN A 2 YEAR PERIOD THAT MY 2013 DODGE JOURNEY LET ME SIT. TIME 1&2 BATTERY NEED TO BE REPLACED, A COSTLY BILL. 3RD TIME THE FUSE BLEW. ALL 3 TIMES MY CARS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON & A WEEKS LET ME SIT. AS OF JAN. 8, AGAIN MY CAR LEAVING ME, ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON & A WEEKS LATER LEFT ME SIT. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT, I'M UNEMPLOYED & HAVE A CAR PAYMENT, I CAN'T AFFORD A COSTLY REPAIR. THIS SEEMS TO BE A GENERAL PROBLEM WITH THE JOURNEYS, WHY ON EARTH AREN'T YOU RECALLING THEM. DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND ENGINE DIED. DASH LIGHTS AND GAUGES FLASHED OFF AND ON. SPEEDOMETER WENT BACK AND FORTH. THEN IT STARTED RUNNING AGAIN. A COUPLE DAYS LATER IT DIED WHILE TURNING A CORNER. I HAD TO RESTART VEHICLE. A COUPLE DAYS AFTER THAT I WENT TO START THE CAR AND NO LIGHTS, GAUGES OR NOTHING WORKED. THE BATTERY AND REMOTE KEY WERE FINE. CHECKED TO SEE IF HORN WOULD BLOW, IT WORKED. TRIED TO START AGAIN AND EVERYTHING WORKED FINE. IT IS VERY UNSAFE FOR IT TO JUST DIE WHITE ON THE HIGHWAY GOIN AROUND A CURVE.
I'VE HAD MY JOURNEY FOR ONLY 7 YEARS. A YEAR AND A HALF AGO THE MODULE STOPPED WORKING SO I COULDN'T CONNECT MY IPHONE TO UCONNECT. I CALLED THE DEALERS AND ASKED HOW MUCH TO FIX THIS AND THEY SAID AN OUTRAGES AMOUNT OF OVER 200.00.SO I DECIDED NOT TO DEAL WITH THEM.BY THE WAY I WAS DRIVING. MY WHOLE STEERING COLUMN IS CAUSING PROBLEMS FROM AIRBAGS, MY WIPERS NOT WORKING NOW, SPEED-CONTROL WONT WORK., TRACTION CONTROL . TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE FAILED TO IMMEDIATELY RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. SCHUMACHER CHRYSLER DODGE LOCATE AT 2102 FEDERAL HWY A, DELRAY BEACH, FL 33483, AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT PROBLEMS I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH SINCE DAY ONE OF OWNING MY DODGE JOURNEY. THE FIRST BEING ELECTRICAL, MY CLOCK RUNS FAST BECAUSE OF THE POWER FLOW TO IT. I HAVE 2 POWER OUTLETS IN MY CAR THAT DO NOT WORK PROPERLY AND 1 OF THEM THE DEALERSHIP IN FLORIDA MESSED UP TO FIX ONE OF THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE SECOND ISSUE IS WHEN I ACCELERATE MY TRANSMISSION CLICKS, I WAS PRETTY MUCH TOLD I WAS CRAZY BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE NOISE AND NOW THAT I DO NOT HAVE A WARRANTY THEY ARE REPORTING IT TO ME AND WANT ME TO PAY. THE LAST AND FINAL ISSUE IS MY BRAKES I HAVE HAD MY BRAKE BOOSTER REPLACED AND MY BREAK MASTER CYLINDER AND I STILL KEEP LOSING MY BRAKES. IF I HAVE TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES OR PUT ANY REAL PRESSURE...
MY DODGE JOURNEY'S ENGINE SHUT OFF TWICE WHILE I WAS DRIVING WITH NO WARNING. NO LOSS OF LIGHTS OR RADIO, BUT THE ENGINE JUST SHUTS OFF AND CAR CANNOT BE RESTARTED. THE FIRST TIME I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, AND RIGHT AFTER ACCELERATING FROM A STOP AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR DIED. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED, AND HAD AN AUTO PART STORE DO SOME BASIC TESTS AND WAS TOLD IT WAS JUST A BAD BATTERY, HOWEVER WHEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN THE DAY AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY. THIS TIME I WAS ON A CITY STREET HAVING JUST EXITED OFF OF THE INTERSTATE. I WAS IN TRAFFIC AND AGAIN THE CAR JUST LOST POWER DUE TO THE ENGINE SHUTTING DOWN. MY RADIO KEEPS CHANGING STATIONS AS I AM DRIVING. SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS WHEN I HIT A BUMP, SOMETIMES IT JUST DOES IT RANDOMLY ON ITS OWN. IT HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING OR STATIONARY. VERY FRUSTRATING!
MY 2013 DODGE JOURNEY HAS A RANDOM NO START. IT WILL JUST CLICK. THE BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, AND STARTER ARE ALL GOOD. I USUALLY HAVE TO JUMP IT TO GET IT TO START. SOMETIMES THAT DOESN'T EVEN WORK. IT WILL MAKE THE LIGHTS START TO GO HAYWIRE. THEY WILL FLICKER OR FLASH ON AND OFF. IT WILL SAY NO KEY DETECTED WHEN I'M LITERALLY SITTING WITH MY KEY FOB IN HAND. IT IS A PUSH BUTTON START. I HAVE GOT THE BATTERIES REPLACED IN THE KEY FOB AS WELL. THIS WILL HAPPEN AT RANDOM. IT'S HAPPENED IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH A SLIGHT INCLINE SO WE PARKED IT ON THE CURB WHERE IT WAS FLAT TO SEE OF MAYBE THE INCLINE OF THE DRIVEWAY HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT, BUT IT'S DONE IT ON FLAT SURFACES AS WELL. FOR TWO YEARS BATTERY HAS BEEN UNABLE TO HOLD CHARGE, EVEN WHEN REPLACED NEW, ENGINE RIDING ROUGH TO COMPLETE STOP IN ROAD, NO FLASHERS ETC. ALTERNATOR REPLACED COMPLETE ELECTRIC HARNESS BURNT, ALL FIXED STILL WILL NOT HOLD BATTERY CHARGE. NO CAR FOR TWO MONTHS. CAR STALLED IN ROAD.
CRANK SENSOR, CUT OUT TWICE WITHIN 2 YEARS TIME AND HAD TO GET REPLACED! EACH TIME, VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION! VERY DANGEROUS! HAD TO TOW VEHICLE EACH TIME. MY CHILD WAS IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME THE FIRST TIME. I EXPECT FULL REIMBURSEMENT FOR EACH INCIDENT. *JS
WE HAVE TAKEN OUR VEHICLE INTO THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP AT LEAST 5 TIMES SINCE AUGUST 2016 FOR THE SAME SAFETY CONCERNS OF JERKING AND STALLING WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS. THE MOST RECENT EPISODE OCCURRED TODAY. WE HAVE HAD MULTIPLE NEAR MISS ACCIDENTS DUE TO THE STALLING. THE DEALERSHIP HAS CHARGED US ALMOST $2000 OVER THESE LAST 3 YEARS. THESE CHARGES HAVE INCLUDED REPLACEMENT OF TIRES, BATTERIES AND SENSORS WITHOUT RESOLUTION OF PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP US RESOLVE THIS ISSUE FOR THE SAFETY OF THE PASSENGERS WHO ARE TRAVELLING IN OUR VEHICLE AND THOSE WHO ARE DRIVING AROUND US. THANK YOU.
STATIONARY AT THE TIME MECHANIC CAME, CAR HAD NOT BEEN RUNNING RIGHT, HESITATING WHILE DRIVING, AND STALLED IN DRIVEWAY. BATTERY NOT CHARGING OR HOLDING A CHARGE/ NO START, NO NOTHING SENT TO LOCAL MECHANIC - I HAVE NOT HAD A RUNNING CAR FOR FIVE WEEKS. ALTERNATOR SHOT, AND CHARGING SYSTEM, REQUIRES COMPLETE RE WIRE AS OF 8-13 / 3 BURNT WIRES, MECHANIC CALLED AUTO ELECTRIC SPECIALIST, INDICATED COMPLETE CHARGING SYSTEM BURNT UP.
VEHICLE NEVER SHIFTS RIGHT. DOORS SOMETIMES WON'T UNLOCK LEAVING ME STUCK INSIDE. STRANDED ON SIDE OF ROAD AFTER BATTERY SAVER LIGHT CAME ON AND ABS LIGHT CAUSING MY CAR RPMS TO FLY UP TO 4 REPEATEDLY AND I COULD BARELY GET OFF THE MAIN ROAD SAFELY BEFOELRE THE CAR STOPPED RUNNING. WHEN I GO TO TURN IT BACK ON SAYS MY CAR IS NOT IN PARK WHICH IT IS. I REALLY HOPE I'M NOT DEALING WITH WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE DEALT WITH WITH THIS VEHICLE. MY CAR IS ABOUT TO HIT 70K MILES. I GET EVERY SERVICE DONE TO IT. ALSO GOT THE BRAKES DONE NEW AND THEY STILL SQUEAK.
BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS PERFORMED I WAS TOLD TO CHANGE THE ALTERNATOR WHICH I DID. AN HOUR LATER THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN THEN I WAS TOLD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY WHICH I DID. AFTER AN HOUR DRIVE THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN I WAS TOLD THE BATTERY SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE NEXT DAY THE CAR DIED COMPLETELY I HAD TO GET TOWED. I WAS TOLD TO GET AN ALTERNATOR FROM MOPAR WHICH I DID. NEW BATTERY ANOTHER NEW ALTERNATOR A NEW SENSOR NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ARRIGO DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM SAWGRASS (5901 MADISON AVE, TAMARAC, FL 33321) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE WAS DAMAGED FROM MOISTURE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V675000 (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) LAST YEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JOEY ACCARDI CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP, RAM (909 S FEDERAL HWY, POMPANO BEACH, FL 33062) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE REPAIRED BECAUSE THE PART WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,398.
MY BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR HAD TO BE CHANGE RECENTLY ....PLUS THERE WAS HOLE. ON THE COOLANT LINE WHICH CAUSE. MY CAR TO OVER HEAT ...CAN YOU PLEASE CHECK FOR THE COOLANT WIRE AND THE ALTERNATOR ON 2013 MODELS
THE REAR HATCH WIRES THAT CONNECT TO THE HATCH ARE ALL FRAYED AND OR BROKEN CAUSING SPARKS AND NON FUNCTIONING HATCH LOCK SWITCH, BRAKE LIGHT PROBLEMS, AND DANGEROUS! THE PROBLEM IS DODGE CHEAPER OUT ON THE WIRES THEY USED AND THEY FALL APART AND BREAK ALSO THEY AREN'T LONG ENOUGH. MY OTHER ISSUE IS THE WIPERS ARE NOISY NO MATTER WHAT BRAND USED AND I MEAN REALLY LOUD, LASTLY THE WIPER SPRAY NOZZLE ON BACK DOESN'T SPRAY THE ONE ON THE HOOD BROKE OFF AND THE REAR WIPER DOESN'T WIPE THE WHOLE WINDSHIELD NEITHER DOES THE FRONT WIPERS! THE MAIN ISSUE IS THE CHEAP ELECTRICAL WIRING ON THIS CAR IT EASILY BREAKS OFF AND FALLS APART WITHIN 5 YEARS THE WIRES ARE NO LONGER USEABLE! DODGE NEEDS TO RECALL THE WIRING 100%

I CAN DRIVE THE CAR AND THEN PARK IT IN MY HEATED GARAGE GO OUT 30 MINS LATER AND THE BATTERY IS DRAINED. I ALSO REPLACED THE BATTERY WHILE HAVING THE OLD BATTERY TESTED. SAME OCCURANCE. AND OLD BATTERY TESTED FINE AT AUTO ZONE. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE LAST THREE DAYS. THE CAR WILL START ONCE JUMPED.

THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

ALSO, THE STARTER, BATTERY, AND TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
TAKATA RECALL SOMETIMES MY VEHICLE WILL NOT STAR,T BASICALLY EVERY WEEK. I CANNOT PUSH THE PEDAL DOWN NOTHING LIGHTS UP THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL NOT STOP GOING OFF AIRBAG LIGHT, ENGINE, AND TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ALL COME ON. IF CAR DOES START THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL CONTINUE AS WELL AS LIGHTS THEN GAS GUNGE WILL GO TO ZERO, CRUISE CONTROL SHUTS OFF AND BLINKERS WILL NOT WORK, ALL HAPPENS SIMULTANEOUSLY WHILE DRIVING MAKING IT VERY DANGEROUS. I HAVE FOUND MANY PEOPLE WITH THIS ISSUE YET NO CLEAR FIX. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND OUT RIGHT RIDICULOUS THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS SAFETY ISSUE. FOR OVER 2 YEARS I'VE TRIED VARIOUS THINGS TO GET MY REVERSE LIGHTS TO WORK. CHECKED FUSES, CHECKED THE BULBS. ONE DAY MY REVERSE LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING, MY HATCH STOPPED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING WHILE ALL OTHER DOORS COMPLIED. AND SOME OF MY BRAKE LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. AFTER VIGOROUSLY YOUTUBING, I FOUND A VIDEO ON CHANGING THE LIFTGATE WIRING. WHERE I FOUND MY ISSUE. THIS IS A SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD!! WHEN I REMOVED THE WIRING HARNESS, 4 OF MY WIRES LOOKED AS THOUGH THEY HAD BEEN CUT. NO WONDER THINGS WEREN'T WORKING.. AFTER USING ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS AND ELECTRICAL TAPE MY REVERSE LIGHTS ARE NOW FIXED. HOWEVER, KNOWING I COULD'VE DIED IN A CAR FIRE JUST DOESN'T SIT WELL FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN.
WE HAVE OWNED OUR JOURNEY FOR THREE YEARS. STARTING LAST YEAR WE HAVE HAD A SIGNIFICANT ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT NO ONE CAN FIX. IN ORDER TO UNLOCK OUR DOORS, ONE HAS TO PRESS UNLOCK AN UPWARD OF 5 TIMES. THIS HAS BECOME AN EVERYDAY OCCURRENCE AND POSES A THREAT TO SAFETY IF WE EVER GET IN AN ACCIDENT. DURING THESE EVENTS THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY. ABS LIGHT CAME ON, TRACTION CONTROL DISABLED, CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTION QUIT WORKING DASH DISPLAYS/TOUCHSCREEN BEGAN TO FLICKER, BLUETOOTH/UCONNECT/VOICE SYSTEMS BECAME NON-RESPONSIVE, AMBIENT LIGHTING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FLICKERS ON AND OFF, AND THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM TURNED ON AFTER BEING SET TO THE OFF POSITION. THE VEHICLE CABIN IS BEING CONTAMINATED BY FUMES AND BY THE FIBERGLASS SOUNDPROOFING THAT IS SOMEHOW ENTERING THE CABIN. I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER/DEALERSHIP AT BOB CALDWELL ON MORSE RD IN COLUMBUS, OHIO. I WAS TOLD THREE SEPARATE TIMES THEY COULD COMPLETE THE RECALL REPAIRS AND EACH TIME I WAS THEN TOLD THEY CANNOT.
