I purchased a 2013 dodge journey approximately 8 months ago. Before I bought it I asked the salesperson if the front end was out of alignment, as it pulled to the right. He told me everything was checked, and it was in excellent condition. He told me the reason it pulled to the right is that the roads were made with a slight slant for water to run off. It continued to pull, although it was drivable. When the snow fell, Oct. 2021, and the roads were packed with snow and ice I could barely keep the vehicle on the road. It kept wanting to swerve off the road to the right. I had to drive 20 miles an hour to and from work on bad roads. There were times I had to stop as I felt little to no control. 2013 DODGE JOURNEY APPROXIMATELY 100000 MILE. UNEVEN WEAR ON REAR TIRES (EXCESSIVE INSIDE WEAR) DUE TO CAMBER. FOR SOME REASON THE REAR WHEELS ON BOTH THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE TILT INWARD CAUSING EXCESSIVE WEAR ON THE INNER TIRE. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN RECENTLY SERVICED WITH AN ALIGNMENT, THE REAR CAMBER IS NOT ADJUSTABLE STOCK AND REQUIRES AFTERMARKET CONTROL ARMS TO ALLOW FOR ADJUSTMENT WHICH WHERE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN DRIVEN LESS THAN 1000 MILE SINCE THE TIRE REPLACEMENT AND ALIGNMENT AND THERE IS ALREADY NOTICEABLE WEAR ON THE INSIDE OF THE REAR TIRES. DUE TO THE CAMBER ISSUE THE VEHICLE SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE SWAYED LEFT AND RIGHT AND THE SUSPENSION WAS UNSTABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP WHO PROVIDED A FRONT END ALIGNMENT, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
AXLE NUTS - 2013 DODGE JOURNEY, FELT AS THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS GOING TO BUCKLE UNDER THE FRONT END, ESPECIALLY IF I HAD TO MAKE A SUDDEN STOP. I LOUD CLUNK TYPE NOISE WOULD ACCOMPANY THE JOLT FEELING. BEGAN OCCURRING MORE OFTEN, TO INCLUDE WHEN VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT. TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP THE FIRST TIME, AND THE ORDER WAS WRITTEN UP AS 'RE-TORQUE THE AXLE NUTS'. ISSUE CONTINUED, BUT WAS ALWAYS DESCRIBED AS 'COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE'. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE AXLE NUTS AS IT LOOKS AS THOUGH THEY HAD BEEN COMPROMISED. I INFORMED THEM OF THE PREVIOUS FIX, AND WAS TOLD THAT YOU CAN NOT RE-TORQUE AXLE NUTS, THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THE DEALERSHIP TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY, AS IT WAS SOMETHING NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY UNTIL I BROUGHT UP WHAT THEY HAD DONE, SO THEY TOOK...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING OVER SPEED BUMPS, A KNOCKING NOISE EMERGED FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT REMAINED TO BE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOR OVER A YEAR EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN ON UNEVEN ROAD SURFACES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000.
TURNED CAR ON AND FEELS LIKE THE ENGINE IS STUTTERING NEED TO MAKE TRIP TO DEALER. SUSPENSION NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT. TRUCK HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES ON THE SUSPENSION ISSUE. THE FIRST TIME THEY SAID THEY LUBED THE BUSHINGS AND EVERY OTHER TIME THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. THIS TRUCK IS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR MY FAMILY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SWERVED TO THE RIGHT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE SUBFRAME, THE DRIVE AXLE, THE REAR SUSPENSION AND THE TIRES WERE REPLACED FOUR TIMES; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 174 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 9,265.
