WHEN PULLING INTO THE STORE A WARNING CAME ON MY SCREEN STATING THAT MY TURN SIGNALS WERE OUT WHEN THEY WEREN'T. ALSO STATED THAT MY LOW BEAMS WERE OUT, THEY WEREN'T. WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC A METALLIC BURNING SMELL CAME THROUGH THE AIR VENTS EVERY COUPLE MILES.
THE RIGHT WINDOW NO LONGER WORKS AS WELL AS THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW. THE TRUNK IS ALSO NOT WANTING TO OPEN. KEY GETS STUCK IN IGNITION EVERY TIME I TRY AND TURN THE CAR OFF. SHIFT CABLES ALSO BROKE, I WAS JUST GETTING HOME WHEN IT HAPPENED I HEARD SOMETHING SNAP BUT DIDN'T THINK MUCH THEN I PARKED AND TRIED TO DRIVE OFF AGAIN AND THE CAR WOULDN'T SHIFT TO DRIVE I COULD MOVE THE STICK.BACK AND FORTH STILL,HAD IT REPLACED A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER THEY SAID THE WHOLE ROD HAD COME OUT AND SHOT INTO SOMETHING ELSE IN THE VEHICLE HAD SHIFT FIXED. ALSO HAD MOTOR MOUTHS FIXED THE MOUTHS BECAME LOSS WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS NOW I BELIEVE THE AC COMPRESSOR IS MESSING UP AC KICKS ON BUT NO AIR COMES OUT, BUT IT ONLY HAPPENS ONCE IN A WHILE CAR ALSO STAYS COLD FOR A...
BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON. RECALL FOR SHIFTER WAS FIXED, BUT THE FUSE BOX IS NOW BURNT. IT'S IS A SPECIAL PART. I THINK THAT THERE IS A CORRELATION BETWEEN THE RECALL THEN PART IS INTER THE BATTERY AND NEAR FUSE BOX,
WHEN I'M DRIVING, MY CAR HAS COMPLETELY LOST POWER AND WOULDN'T MOVE. THE BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON, ALTHOUGH I HAVE A BRAND NEW BATTERY THAT I GOT A YEAR AGO, AND WHEN I TURN THE CAR COMPLETELY OFF TO RESTART IT, IT WILL NOT TURN BACK ON. I FOUND A RECALL AND HAD THE RECALL FIXED AND IT IS NOW WORSE WITH SHIFTING THAN IT WAS BEFORE, AND IT'S STILL STALLING AND LOSING COMPLETE POWER. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK AS IT CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR DEATH, IF THIS WERE TO HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY OR TURNING AT AN INTERSECTION. FORTUNATELY ENOUGH, I WAS AT THE END OF MY STREET, STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN AND WENT TO DRIVE AGAIN AND THAT'S WHEN IT LOST POWER.
TPMS SYSTEM FAILURE (MULTIPLE TIMES) I HAVE HAD MY TPMS SYSTEM REPAIRED THREE TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED MY VEHICLE AND IT NEVER FAILS THAT IT STOPS WORKING AGAIN SHORTLY AFTER GETTING IT FIXED. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS IS CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE BUT IT COULD BE FOR SOME PEOPLE THAT DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR TIRES. THE RIGHT CV AXLE HAS ALSO GONE OUT OF MY CAR AT APPROXIMATELY 70,000 MILES. THIS ITEM WAS COVERED BY WARRANTY BUT OTHER FRIENDS THAT OWN DARTS HAVE MENTIONED HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. IT CREATED A BAD POPPING NOISE AND MADE GOING OVER BUMPS SLIGHTLY UNSTABLE. TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE -- THIS IS ACTIVE RECALL ON MY VEHICLE BUT FIGURED I WOULD INCLUDE THE INFORMATION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S BATTERY WAS DRAINED AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE STARTED. THE CONTACT CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO JUMPSTART THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE RAN FOR APPROXIMATELY FIVE MINUTES AND THEN STALLED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000.
CAR DROPPED OUT OF GEAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. IT WAS TERRIFYING I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BUT WAS LUCKILY ABLE TO GET OFF THE ROAD SAFELY. DROPPED SPEED AND THERE WAS NO ACCELERATION.
TAKATA RECALL: WHILE I WAS LEAVING WORK FOR BREAK, IT STARTED TO POUR DOWN RAINING SO I DECIDED TO PULL INTO A DRIVEWAY AND TURN AROUND BUT MY CAR WOULDN'T GO IN REVERSE, AFTER SO MANY ATTEMPTS OF TRYING I TRIED TO GET IT TO GO IN PARK AND WHEN I DID THE CAR KEPT MOVING TOWARD THE STREET OFF THE SIDE WALK. SO SINCE IT WAS STILL ABLE TO DRIVE I PULLED OUT OFF THE CURB AND WENT BACK TO WORK AND TRIED GETTING IT TO STOP BUT IT KEPT MOVING SO I TURNED THE CAR OFF. AFTER THAT I WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO START MY CAR AND MY KEY REMOTE WAS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. COWORKERS CAME TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND TOLD ME THERE'S A RECALL WHEN THEY GOOGLED IT. THE PEOPLE I'VE BEEN TALKING TO HAVE BEEN NO HELP AND I'VE BEEN WITHOUT...
TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE CAUSED VEHICLE TO SURGE FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING. CAR EVENTUALLY JUST STOPPED WORKING AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP, WHERE THEY ARE HAVING TROUBLE LOCATING THE EXACT CAUSE OF THE ELECTRICAL TROUBLE, BUT HAVE NARROWED DOWN TO THE TCM, ECM, AND/PCM. CAR ONLY HAS 70359 MILES ON IT, AND THE DEALERSHIP IS SAYING IT MAY NEED TO BE COMPLETELY REWIRED AND PROGRAMMED.

ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE SHIFTED INTO PARK, THEN REVERSE, AND THEN INTO FIRST GEAR TO RELEASE THE KEY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER FOR A TEMPORARY REMEDY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
EVERT 2 MINUTES THE MEDIA CONSOLE TURNS BRIGHT WHITE, THEN SHUTS OFF, THEN REBOOTS. WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT THE LIGHT FROM THE CONSOLE IS BLINDING. EVEN IF YOU TURN OFF THE SCREEN, IT WILL REBOOT EVERY 2 MINUTES. IT DOES THIS ALL THE TIME, PARKED, OR DRIVING.
ISSUE WITH THE WIRING HARNESS THAT CONNECTS THE ENGINE COMPUTER. BURNS THROUGH ALTERNATORS AND BATTERIES
MY CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AT ALMOST ANY SPEED; AT TIMES WHEN I HIT A HARD BUMP, OR MAKE HARD TURNS, AND EVEN WHEN IDLING AT TIMES AS WELL. RPMS SHOOT TO ZERO AND THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF LEAVING YOU ONLY ABLE TO STEER...I'VE HAD IT IN THE SHOP AT LEAST TWICE FOR THE ISSUE SINCE THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED AND EACH TIME WHATEVER IT IS SEEMS TO BE FIXED UNTIL A FEW WEEKS/MONTHS LATER WHEN IT ENDS UP HAPPENING AGAIN. THE LATEST TIME WAS 04/08/19 ON MY WAY TO WORK IN THE MORNING WHEN I WAS MERGING ONTO THE EXPRESSWAY; AT ABOUT 40MPH THE CAR STALLED AND THIS HAPPENED 3 MORE TIMES BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO WORK.
I FIRST STARTED EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR IN 2017 MY CAR WOULD OVERHEAT AND SHUT OFF ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I TOOK IT INTO A DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS MY BATTERY AFTER THAT I HAD THEM CHANGE THE BATTERY. AFTER MAYBE A DAY I WENT TO WORK AND THE CAR SHUT OFF ON ME AGAIN. I THEN GOT AN OIL CHANGE AND THE CAR WORKED GOOD FOR A FEW MONTHS UNTIL I CAME UPON THE PROBLEM AGAIN THE CAR SHUT OFF ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS THE OIL BECAUSE WHEN IT HAPPENS I CHANGE MY OIL AND THE CAR IS FINE AFTER. I CHANGED MY OIL RECENTLY AND MY CAR IS STILL EXPERIENCING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THE BATTERY LIGHT TURNS ON AND IT IS A HASSLE TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON. I HAVE READ...

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
MY CAR SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING TO WORK, SO WE WERE IN MOTION. IT HAS NOW HAPPENED 4 TIMES TO ME IN A SPAN OF 3 WEEKS. I CAN EITHER BE DRIVING DURING THE DAY OR NIGHT. IT WILL HAPPEN IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING OR WHEN I COME TO A STOP SIGN AND ADDING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE. ONCE IT HAPPENS, AND IF I PUT IT IN PARK AS WELL, THE STICK SHIFT WILL LOCK UP AS WELL. AGAIN THIS HAS NOW HAPPENED 4 TIMES TO ME WHILE DRIVING AND COMING TO A STOP.
CAR IS STALLING AND CUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. GOT AN OIL CHANGE. CAR DOESN'T REACT TO PUSHING ON ACCELERATOR. RPM REV AFTER HESITATING WITH FOOT ON THE GAS. CAR IS SHAKING AND RUNNING REALLY HARD. I BELIEVE ITS THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, WHICH IS COMMON IN DODGE DARTS. ITS BEEN RECALLED, BUT NOT ON MY MODEL. STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. HAD TO RESTART CAR 3 TIMES.
BATTERY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ABOUT EVERY 6 MONTHS DUE TO SOMETHING DRAINING THE BATTERY BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN FOUND. ELECTRICAL IS ALL MESSED UP, THE COMPUTER SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS. WHEN CAR IS TURNED ON AT RANDOMLY THE AIR AND MUSIC WILL GO FULL BLAST AND IT CANNOT BE TURNED DOWN OR SHUT OFF. MECHANICALLY THE CAR IS RUNNING FINE BUT THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE MOVES UP AND DOWN WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE SITTING STILL DUE TO ELECTRICAL ISSUES. WHEN DRIVING ON NORMAL BACKROADS OR HIGHWAYS THERE IS A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE AREA AND NOTHING HAS BEEN FOUND AS TO WHY IT MAKES THE NOISE.
I'VE REPLACED MY BATTERY TWICE SINCE PURCHASE IN MAY. SOMETHING IS DRAINING THE BATTERY AND I'VE EVEN EXPERIENCED DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALL MY DASH LIGHTS START BLINKING UNTIL THE CAR CUTS OFF AND I HAVE TO RESTART IT TO GET TO MY DESTINATION; AND THEN TAKE IT THE AUTO PARTS STORE TO HAVE THEM RECHARGE IT.

AUTO ZONE WAS IN THE PLAZA SO I HAD THE GUY COME OUT AND DO A DIAGNOSTIC. CODES WERE P0123, P2122, P2127, P0222, U0401. WHEN THE GUY WENT BACK INTO THE STORE THE CAR STARTED. WHEN I PARKED AGAIN 10 MINUTES LATER THE CHECK ENGINE AND CHARGE LIGHT DISAPPEARED. CAR RAN FINE FOR ONE DAY. ABOUT 33 HOURS AFTER THAT INCIDENT I PARKED THE CAR AT A PARK FOR LUNCH FROM WORK. TOOK A WALK AND WHEN I RETURNED CAR NEVER CAME ON. DASH WAS FLICKERING, ALL LIGHTS ILLUMINATED, MILEAGE WAS FLASHING, GAUGES WERE FLICKERING, CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER. ACTED AS IF BATTERY WAS DEAD. DRIVING ON THE OPEN ROAD THE CAR LOOSES POWER, CAN'T STEER CAN'T ACCELERATE. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN TRAVELING AT 70 MPH EVEN AT 35 THRU THE CITY. I HAVE NOTICED ONLINE OF ALL THE COMPLAINTS AND DODGE JUST SAYS I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED AS SOME ONE WILL DIE DRIVING THESE CARS IN THIS CONDITION!! THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN INTERMITTENT SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR, I ENDED UP HAVING TO HAVE BOTH BALLASTS AND BULBS REPLACED, STILL EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE INTERMITTENTLY. IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT IS A RECALL OR COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY PAST 40,000 THIS CAR HAS 50,000 AND I'M ALREADY GOING TO HAVE A COMPUTER MODULE REPLACED AS IT CONTROLS THE HEADLIGHTS THIS WILL NOT BE A CHEAP REPAIR. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS MANY DART OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE. THE FOG LIGHTS ARE THE ONLY FORWARD FACING LIGHTS I HAVE THAT WORK AT TIMES, STATIONARY OR MOVING, OTHER TIMES IT'S ONE OR THE OTHER,

THE TRUNK GOES CRAZY POPPING OPEN OVER AND OVER AND THE ONLY WAY TO CLOSE IT AND TO KEEP IT SHUT IS TO HAVE YOUR CAR IN DRIVE OR REVERSE WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE SET WHICH IS NOT SAFE AT ALL ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR!

THERE SEEMS TO BE ISSUE WITH DODGE, CHRYSLER VEHICLES WHERE CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH MY DAD CHRYSLER 300, MY MOM DODGE DURANGO AND NOW MY DODGE DART AND IT APPEARS IT IS THE ALTERNATOR KILLING THE BATTERY. IT IS DANGEROUS TO PUT MY CAR ON THE ROAD AS IT CAN SHUT OFF ANY GIVEN TIME AND NO ONE CAN SEEM TO FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE.
MY DODGE DART HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES FOR A COUPLE WEEKS. IT WILL START JERKING LIKE YOU'RE DRIVING A STANDARD AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE IT. THE ABS LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND A COUPLE OTHER LIGHTS WILL ALL COME ON. WHEN IT DOES THIS THERE ARE TIMES THAT YOU CAN PRESS THE HAD PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND IT DOES NOTHING. THEN THE CAR STARTED SAYING TO CHECK THE TRANSMISSION AND WHEN YOU SHIFTED INTO CERTAIN GEARS IT WOULD SAY THE GEAR WAS UNAVAILABLE AND YOU NEED TO SHIFT TO DRIVE OR REVERSE. AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING I FOUND THAT MY FUSE BOX, NEXT TO MY BATTERY, LOOKS LIKE SEVERAL OF THE FUSES HAVE CAUGHT ON FIRE. I DON'T KNOW HOW THE CAR HASN'T GONE UP IN FLAMES. AREN'T FUSES SUPPOSED TO BREAK WHEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HASTENS

THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS OUT OF OIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES. NOV 2016, LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING, WENT INTO NEUTRAL, WOULD START A FEW MINUTES LATER, BUT LOSS OF POWER AGAIN. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP & THEY REPLACED THE ENGINE. FEB 2017 KEY STOPPED WORKING, CHANGED BATTERY STILL DIDN'T WORK, CHANGED IT AGAIN & IT WORKED. APRIL 6, 2017 LOSS OF POWER COMPLETED DIED, I COULD NOT JUMP IT, COULD NOT LOCK MY DOORS, COULD NOT DO ANYTHING. PICKED UP CAR FROM DEALERSHIP ON APRIL 10, THEY SAID THAT THEY CHANGED THE BATTERY. WHILE STILL THERE PICKING UP MY CAR, MY BLINKER LIGHTS BLEW OUT, NOTIFICATION ON THE SCREEN SAYS RIGHT & LEFT BLINKER LIGHT OUT. THEY SWITCHED OUT THE BULBS. GOT IT HOME & NOTIFICATION SAID LOW BEAM LIGHTS OUT. THE NEXT MORNING HAD NO LIGHTS. TAKING TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN TOMORROW. MY CAR KEEPS CUTTING OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING. THE BATTER LIGHT COMES ON WITHOUT ANY WARNING.
