ONCE I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP MY ENGINE SHUT OFF, ALL SERVICE LIGHTS CAME ON (MIRROR WARNING LIGHTS, CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS, DASHBOARD SHIFT INDICATOR STUCK ON "DRIVE" RATHER THAN "PARKED") AND NO POWER STEERING. THE VEHICLE WAS IN 'PARK' BUT CONTINUED TO ROLL BACKWARDS. I WAS IN A FULL PARKING LOT AT THE BEACH ON A HOLIDAY. MULTIPLE PEOPLE WHERE LINED UP BEHIND MY CAR TO PARK/ PICK UP THEIR PASSENGERS. HAD I NOT HAVE TO PICK UP PASSENGERS I WOULD HAVE ENDED UP ON A HILL (THE FIRST TURN OUT OF THE PARKING LOT IS A FAIRLY STEEP INCLINE) MOST LIKELY CAUSING A HORRIFIC ACCIDENT.
