Headlight pigtail assembly burned out as described in the 2014 safety recall. 14V-101 / P08 Recall Summary The wiring sub-harnesses for the headlights may overheat, and the low beam headlights may fail. Dealers will replace the headlamp jumper harnesses and bulbs or the headlight assemblies as needed free of charge to resolve the concern.
My vehicle has been experiencing electrical issues causing my radio to cut off and my car to cut off and lose power while driving. When the car is moving and loses power it's causes the vehicle to shift into neutral.
Says that my car is simply just dead smells like gas when trying to start up and shakes but doesn’t start up
I have called the dealerships in Fresno Ca and Clovis Ca asked them to check out my car because of all the recalls that were done by them I'm having problems with it or had to replace it again. I also told them since it was a recall and they supposedly repaired it I wanted them to check into it to see if the wrong was done because anyone could falsify a document I was turned away from both dealerships. I have receipts for parts I have replaced that were recalled, as diagnostics tests. This has been going on since 2022 one after another and then affects other parts I even asked them to do a software update for the electronic monostable gear they said no.
My insuramce claim is [XXX]. [XXX] afternoon. My car was parked on hill parking lot. I put on drive, was getting ready to leave and go home. Car has no acceleration, start sliding down while i stepped on gas. So I stepped on brake and no brake, car kept sliding downhill and hit another subaru. Nothing worked then I stepped on e brake and saved my life. My car computer has a malfunctioning.This car and accident has causes me so much emotional stress, i was shaking up and i will not ever get into that car again. Please contact me [XXX] . The battery keeps dying. The vehicle is draining the battery while it is not running.
I am experiencing the same issue as identified with NHTSA ID NUMBER: 11525511, June 5, 2023. Dodge has a known issue with the wiring for the fuse for the a/c located in the front PDC. Technical Service Bulletin NUMBER: 08-040-14 REV. A. On or around June 2020, I took my 2012 Dodge Charger to my local dealership during the COVID pandemic for an issue with my AC not working. I had the car inspected by numerous mechanics who indicated there was an issue with the fuse for the a/c clutch (#12), They would replace the fuse numerous times, the AC would come on and blow warm air or cool air, but mostly warm. Replacing the fuse numerous of times did not resolve the issue. Neither did replacing all the cooling system and radiator and fan as well. When I purchased the car it had been used as a police car in the state of Mississippi. So after I bought the car I checked for any recalls and found it to have 2 open recalls. 1 was a passenger side airbag and the other was the alternator. So I contacted Moss motor company in South Pittsburg Tennessee and they agreed to do the recalls. After they had finished installing the air bag they told me the alternator wasn't required for change out because the part number listed on it wasn't warranted. So I did some investigating and found my part number to be 7030. The part numbers not required for change out is 7051-7031-and 7170.. It's listed under the NHTSA S68/16v-739 recall. My ac was working decent, not how it should be, when I first got the vehicle. Now, the ac just blows warm air, no recirculation for feet setting. I am getting the code P0741 and it doesn't change.
Service power steering warning comes on, causes my gauge cluster to go blank & dark, I lose A/C, power steering, headlights work intermittently, blinkers & all steering wheel button options stop working, and my transmission will start downshifting shifting erratically. It downshifts so hard I'm afraid I'll lose control of my car. Yesterday I had a message pop up saying it was going into Power Saving Mode. When the power steering warning is on, my A/C will have half the vents blowing cold air, the other half blowing hot heater air. During the winter my heated seats only worked intermittently. All of these issues are related to the past recalls on my car that were supposedly fixed; however, the problems are still occurring. Oct, 2022 my car did not shift out of park so I googled my car and the problem, So it said it was my monostable shifter modular. I towed it to A Transmission mechanic and they did a full body diagnostic test and I was told all I needed was to buy a new transmission shifter modular and a PCM to get my car running again. I did not have the $ 4,200 for them to fix my car so I had it towed back home. Now as of today my car is not running still because of the transmission shifter modular and PCM I bought brand new Installed myself and for some odd reason the electrical started flickering as if maybe the wiring is wrong or something. Loss of touchscreen functionality only works initially and then freezes completely making it unusable and making the most part of the internal features and climate control completely unavailable and increasing the risk of safety of the driver, Dealer stating to replace whole touch screen unit which is extremely expensive to replace, It should be standard and lot of functionality is used from the touchscreen And also Loss Of Low Beam Headlights seems like issue with electrical system recall issue that was done a long time back
A licensed mechanic did a diagnostic test and the code P1DB7 came up. The reason for calling the mechanic was after driving my car the next day it didn't want to start, there was recalls already repaired apparently yet the code states that it's a Faulty Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM). there's still an electrical problem TPMS is still not reading the computer system correctly is just not right therefore it's not reading anything correctly. the original control arms w/ball JT including the steering column is all bad and will cause a wreck or someone killed caused of the instability.
Abs light and traction light on. Alternator looses power. Alternator does keep the car running when disconnect from the battery.

My 2012 Dodge Charger was bought used and it had been recently repaired and recalls performed on it. (The dealership was nice to point that out to me.) in Dec 2020 Wa. state. I have had nothing but problems with it. About a month later I had smelled smoke. I had my car scanned and it said camshaft needed to be replaced. So I did. The contact owns a 2012 DODGE CHARGER. The contact stated that a fluid leak would circulate through the engine block. Due to this failure, the contact stated that the vehicle would stall out without warning. The contact had taken the vehicle to several independent mechanics and each time the failure persisted. The contact then took the vehicle to a dealer where he was informed that there were 2 recalls on his vehicle NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V197000(SERVICE BRAKES, AIR, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). The contact stated that his vehicle was then towed to the dealer for repair; however, the contact was informed that the parts for the repair were on backorder. The manufacture was notified of the failure and have not given him an update. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was 160,000.

WHEN STARTING MY CAR THE RADIO SOMETIMES DON'T COME ON. I HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK SHUT OFF THE CAR AND RESTART IT IN ORDER FOR THE RADIO TO COME ON. WHEN DRIVING AND LISTENING TO THE RADIO IT GOES IN AND OUT AS IF THE DJ IS TRYING TO BLOCK OUT PROFANTIY BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE. ALSO WHILE DRIVING, SMOKE FROM THE AIR VENTS WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 165,000.
I WAS PULLING INTO MY DRIVEWAY AND AS I WAS TURNING THE CAR ALL OF A SUDDEN DIED AND THE WHEEL WAS HARD TO TURN AND THE BRAKES LOCKED UP. I TRIED TO START IT AGAIN BUT IT WOULD JUST TURN OVER BUT START FULLY.

THERE'S NO FURTHER DETAILS AS TO WHY IT WON'T GO BACK UP THAT'S ALL I DID WAS ROLL IT DOWN. AND EVERY SINCE THAT DAY AT LEAST ONCE A DAY WHEN I'M TURNING OR SLOWING DOWN THE CAR WILL COMPLETELY TURN OFF AND GO INTO AUTO PARK AND LOSE ALL POWER. IT ALSO CONSTANTLY SAYS IT'S GOING AN AUTO PARK WHEN I'M ON THE FREEWAY GOING 75 MILES PER HOUR. ALL OF THE GAUGES WILL GO DOWN TO ZERO AND BACK UP WHEN I'M ON THE FREEWAY AND IT WON'T SHUT OFF AND LOCK UP ON ME BUT IF I'M GOING BELOW 20 MILES AN HOUR IT WILL LOCK UP ON ME. I WAS PARKING THE VEHICLE IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA AND TRIED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN TO STRAIGHTEN THE CAR, THE SERVICE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON AND I'M NOT ABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL IN ANY DIRECTION. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED OFF UNTIL OCTOBER 2019 WHERE I TOOK MY CAR TO AUTO ZONE FOR A FREE DIAGNOSTIC, BUT TO MY SURPRISE IT GAVE THE SAME CODE. I WORK BACK AND FORTH OUT OF TOWN SO THEREFORE I DIDN'T MAKE IT BACK IN TIME TO GET IT REINSPECTED AGAIN FOR THAT CODE. 1.THE WIRING TO THE HEADLIGHTS KEEPS BURNING INTO AND IT HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE ALREADY. 2. THE RADIO DOESN'T COME ON WHEN I START THE CAR; I HAVE TO SHUT IT OFF AND RESTART IT SOMETIMES SEVERAL TIMES TO GET EVERYTHING CONNECTED. 3. I HAVE HAD TO HAVE MY CAR ALIGNED 4 TIMES IN 9 MONTHS AND BOUGHT 2 SETS OF TIRES BECAUSE IT WILL NOT KEEP THE ALIGNMENT. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR AND THE RADIO AND LIGHTS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR MUCH LONGER. WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS?
FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW WILL STOP WHEN BY ITS SELF WHEN CLOSING OR USING AUTOMATIC CLOSING. HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED OR IN MOTION. DIFFERENTIAL BEARINGS HAVE BEEN WEARING DOWN QUICKLY.
THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT CUT OFF. THE COMPUTER WAS NOT REGISTERING THAT THE CAR WAS IN PARK AT ALL. I HAD TO UNPLUG THE BATTERY IN THE TRUNK TO GET THE CAR TO CUT OFF. I HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW GEARSHIFT!
HANDS FREE BLUETOOTH QUIT WORKING, CANNOT CONNECT PHONE, GPS, OR USE AUXILIARY, FACTORY RESETS DID NOT WORK NOR DID BATTERY DISCONNECT. DEALERSHIP SAYS THE BLUETOOTH MODULE MAY HAVE FAILED WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE CASE WITH MANY 2012 CHARGERS. NEW STATE LAW GOES INTO EFFECT IN MAY 2019 WITH THE HANDS FREE LAW BUT I CAN'T COMPLY. IF THIS IS A FACTORY MODULE FAILURE DEFECT, WHY ISN'T THIS VERY IMPORTANT SAFTEY FEATURE PROTECTED UNDER RECALL?

THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO WARRANTY. A LOANER VEHICLE WAS PROVIDED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK FOR THE STEERING WHEEL NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT ISSUED A STEERING RECALL REMEDY. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY SERVICED THE VEHICLE FOR AN UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER STEERING RECALL CAMPAIGN AND ISSUED SEVEN TSBS FOR THE STEERING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
CAR WON'T START SOMETIMES. THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH WILL BE ON WHEN I GET TO MY CAR BUT WONT RECOGNIZE MY KEY. THE LIGHTS WILL BLINK ON AND THE WIPERS WILL COME ON THEN STALL. I HAVE TO GET A JUMP CONSTANTLY. THE BATTERY IS NEW SO IT ISN'T THAT. I HAD THE CAR TESTED AT AUTO ZONE AND IT READ FINE. I WAS ADVISED TO GET THE FUSES CHECKED. WHEN I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC HE SAID IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR. THE CAR IS ALWAYS IS ALWAYS IN STATIONARY WHEN IT DOES THIS. LUCKILY I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WHILE ON THE ROAD YET. THE RADIO STOPPED WORKING ALSO A FEW MONTHS BEFORE THIS PROBLEM. IT WOULD GLITCH ON AND OFF. THE SCREEN WILL STILL DO THIS BUT THE SOUND ISN'T WORKING AT ALL.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE HOME FROM WORK ON 18 NOVEMBER 2018 MY VEHICLES RADIO BECAME INTERMITTENT ON ALL SETTINGS. BLUETOOTH, AUXILLARY, SATTELITE AND REGULAR RADIO HAD AN INTERRUPTION IN THE AUDIO AT REGULAR INTERVALS. I SMELLED AN ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL AND PULLED OVER. I POPPED THE TRUNK AND THERE WAS SMOKE COMING FROM THE FUSEBOX NEXT TO THE REAR TIRE. THE RADIO AMPLIFIER FUSE HAD MELTED ITSELF INTO THE FUSEBOX AND WAS CONTINUING TO SHORT. CHARGER HAS AN OPEN RECALL FOR ALTERNATOR SCHEDUALED FOR SERVICE 26 DECEMBER 2018
WHILE IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET, VEHICLE DISPLAYED WARNING LIGHTS AND STALLED. WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF INTO A PARKING LOT WHERE THE GEAR SHIFT WAS LOCKED IN PARK POSITION. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO MECHANIC WHO ADVISED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN HAD LOCKED UP. I AM AWARE THAT THERE WAS A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION SENT OUT BY CHRYSLER, BUT WHEN I INQUIRED ABOUT IT AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THAT MY VEHICLE DIDN'T FALL UNDER THAT NOTIFICATION.
PASSENGER HID LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY SHUTS OFF. AFTER A PERIOD OF THE VEHICLE BEING SHUT DOWN AND RESTARTED THE LIGHT WILL COME BACK O BUT WILL SHUT OFF AGAIN AFTER A FEW MINUTES. THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL ON THE WIRING HARNESS, BUT NOTHING IS SHOWING ON MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE FOR THE RECALL.

MY 2012 DODGE CHARGER IS HAVING THE SAME LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT ISSUE AS THE RECALL POSTED 5/2/2014 FOR MY YEAR. HOWEVER, WHEN I LOOK UP MY VIN NUMBER, ITS SAYING THERE IS NO ACTIVE RECALLS.
TAKATA RECALL ONE MORNING AS I GOT INTO MY CAR TO HEAD TO WORK, I STARTED HEARING THIS CLICKING NOISE. IT LASTED FOR ABOUT 1 MIN., THEN IT STOPPED. I THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT UNTIL IT HAPPENED AGAIN, AND AGAIN. AFTER RESEARCHING, I NOTICED SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. I KNOW THE DODGE RAM ACTUALLY HAD A RECALL. FOUND OUT IT WAS THE ACTUATOR. THE AMOUNT OF TIME THE CLICKING NOISE LAST HAS GOTTEN LONGER AND IT WILL RANDOMLY START EVEN AFTER MY CAR IS NO LONGER RUNNING AND JUST SITTING IDLE. THIS IS SO ANNOYING CONSIDERING I KNOW I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO MY CAR TO CAUSE THIS ISSUE AND I'M SURE ITS A MANUFACTORY'S ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH, THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT, CRUISE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT, LOSS OF ALL WHEEL DRIVE WARNING LIGHT, LOSS OF FRONT END PROTECTION WARNING LIGHT, AND ABS WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ALTERNATOR HAD FAILED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE POWER BLOCK UNDER THE HOOD WAS SMOKING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). CROWN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM CLEVELAND (511 S LEE HWY, CLEVELAND, TN 37311, (844) 367-4258) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
PDC AND AC WIRING MELTED TOGETHER. WIRE HARNESS IS PART OF HEADLAMP TO DASH HARNESS. AC WILL GO IN AND OUT ON IT'S OWN. WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP IT REQUIRES REPLACEMENT OF PDC AND HEADLAMP TO DASH WIRING HARNESS. PDC AND WIRED SHOULD NOT MELT TOGETHER CAUSING EXPOSED WIRES
I WAS LEAVING A MECHANIC SHOP AFTER A TIRE CHANGE I ENTERED THE ROAD N ALL OF A SUDDEN THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR JUST DIED ON ME I CALLED THE MECHANIC AND HE SAID IT'S THE ALTERNATOR HE CAME AND GOT IT ON HIS FLAT BED SO I CHECK TO SEE IF MY CAR WAS ON THE RECALL LIST FOR THE ALTERNATOR AND SURE ENOUGH IT WAS
MY VEHICLE IS GIVING A MESSAGE THAT SAYS 'BATTERY SAVER MODE.' THE BATTERY IN THE VEHICLE IS IN PERFECT CONDITION, THE ALTERNATOR HAS BEEN REPLACED AND I AM STILL GETTING THIS MESSAGE. ACCORDING TO BLOGS MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THE CAR IS AT RISK OF SPONTANEOUSLY CUTTING OFF WHILE IN BATTERY SAVER MODE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO. IT MAY BE A SENSOR ISSUE IDK AND MY LOCAL DODGE IS ALSO UNSURE
