I HAVE A 2006 DODGE CARAVAN SLX ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT IT THE SLIDING DOOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE STOPPED WORKING I TOOK IT IN AND THEY FIXED IT RIGHT AWAY. IN JUNE 2010 MY VAN DOOR THE SAME ONE THAT WAS BROKE FROM BEFORE CAME OPEN WHEN I WAS DRIVING THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER. I REPORTED THIS TO DODGE AND CHRYSLER CORP. AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THERE VAN AND REPORTED IT. I AM WORRIED THAT ONE OF MY FOUR CHILDREN ARE GOING TO FALL OUT THE DOOR AND GET HURT OR EVEN KILLED BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM I WOULD LIKE TO SEE DODGE FIX MY VAN BECAUSE IT ISN'T MY FAULT THE DOOR IS BROKE AND IT IS A SAFETY PROBLEM. *TR
POWER SLIDING DOOR FAILURE ON 2006 DODGE CARAVAN. AFTER REGULAR USE OF THE POWER SLIDING DOOR FEATURE IT NO LONGER FUNCTIONS CORRECTLY. IT STOPS AFTER OPENING 6-8 INCHES AND DOES THE SAME WHEN CLOSING. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE DOOR IS OPERATED AND IS A CONCERN TO ME SINCE I HAVE SMALL CHILDREN THAT COULD BECOME STUCK BETWEEN THE DOOR. THE PART THAT HAS MOST LIKELY FAILED IS THE WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLY WITH BREAKS IN THE WIRES. I BELIEVE THIS REPAIR WOULD COST AROUND 300 DOLLARS. *TR
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE INSIDE PANELS OF BOTH FRONT DOORS RUBBED AGAINST THE OCCUPANTS LEG AND CAUSED SWELLING. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED.
