My car threw itself in neutral twice in the highway going home.
goes into 4th gear and will not shift up or down DTC P1DD2 gas leaking from sending unit area and fan wont kick on untilk 230F also has electrical problems
Esc off light comes on and transmission does not shift has loss of power gets extremely bad gas mileage. Whole engine shakes and bucks as if misfiring., cruise control nor sport mode engage.
Was on my way home from work and car completely lost power as I was preceding to go after stopping at a stop sign. I was LITERALLY in the middle of the road. Car wouldn't crank AT ALL. Engine started OVERHEATING causing smoke to disburse from engine. NO WARNING LIGHTS before this occurred. A big truck was coming down the road and I had to exist the vehicle. Luckily a car wasn't in the other lane so the truck went on the other side of the road. I was terrified! I called 911 to get a deputy dispatch to direct traffic around my car to avoid mutiple COLLISION. I had to have my vehicle towed. I never want another Chrysler again these cars are UNSAFE. THE ALL WHEEL DRIVE WILL NOT WORK DESPITE HAVING BEEN TAKING INTO THE DEALER THREE (3) TIMES FOR DIAGNOSIS /SERVICING SINCE APPROXIMATELY NOV, 2018. THE DEALER EVEN HAD IT FOR 10 DAYS WHILE WE WERE ON VACATION DURING XMAS, 2019 AND SUPPOSEDLY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM DURING THE "SEVERAL" TIMES THEY TRIED. IN REALLY SLICK, SNOWY CONDITIONS, THE SERVICE AWD LIGHT WILL COME ON, BUT ONCE I'VE TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON, IT DOESN'T COME ON AGAIN UNTIL THE NEXT SLICK, SNOWY EVENT. THE DEALER'S ONLY SUGGESTION IS NEW TIRES WHICH DOESN'T HELP IF THE FRONT TIRES WON'T ENGAGE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PUT INTO DRIVE. WHEN THE AWD ISSUE OCCURS, THE VEHICLE IS ALSO DIFFICULT TO STOP WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND DIFFICULT TO START WHEN TAKING OFF. I WAS TRAVELING DOWN A BUSY STREET IN ATLANTA. I CAME TO A STOP SIGN AND WHEN I TRIED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE INTERSECTION, THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. THE ENGINE WAS REEVING UP HIGH BUT THE CAR WAS NOT MOVING. IT ALSO WOULD NOT LET ME PUT THE CAR IN PARK. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND CONTINUE ON MY TRIP. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES.

I HAD A RECALL PERFORMED AT THE DEALER FOR THE SHIFTER RECALL IN FOR WHICH THEY PERFORMED A REPROGRAM THAT WOULD SUPPOSEDLY KEEP THE CAR FROM ROLLING IF THE DRIVERS DOOR WAS OPENED AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT PUT IN PARK. WELL HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED. AFTER THE REPROGRAM WHENEVER THE DRIVERS DOOR IS OPENED WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING AND IN GEAR IT JUMPS INTO PARK WHICH IS BAD FOR THE DRIVELINE. I GUESS THAT'S HOW IT WAS RECONFIGURED. I WAS USE TO THE OLD WAY BECAUSE WHEN I PULL INTO MY DRIVEWAY I ALWAYS OPEN THE DOOR TO SEE HOW CLOSE I AM TO THE EDGE OF THE DRIVEWAY. APRIL TRANSMISSION SOFTWARE PATCH WAS INSTALLED BUT THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS PERIODICALLY. SINCE PATCH WAS INSTALLED TRANSMISSION HAS LOCKED IN PARK TWICE REQUIRING "EMERGENCY" RELEASE. LAST WEEK I PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY, SHIFTED INTO PARK AND REACHED FOR A PACKAGE ON FLOOR. WHILE REACHING CAR ROLLED FORWARD HITTING CORNER OF BRICK GARAGE KNOCKING BRICK WORK LOOSE AND SNAPPING GARAGE DOOR CABLE ON RIGHT SIDE OF DOOR.BRICKWORK MUST BE TAKEN DOWN AND REINSTALLED. GOT UP IN THE MORNING STARTED MY CHRYSLER 300 LET IT RUN FOR 3-5MINS BEFORE PULLING OFF TO GET COFFEE. NO ISSUES GOING AND RETURNING WHICH TOOK 10-15MINS TOPS. RETURNED HOME TO PICK UP AND DROP MY GIRLFRIEND OFF AT WORK APPROX. 20-25 MILES AWAY. MADE IT THERE WITH NO ISSUES. I PULL AWAY FROM HER JOB TURN A FEW CORNERS I SUDDENLY HEAR A FAINT WHINING THE STEADILY GREW LOUDER AND BEGAN TO SMELL ELECTRICAL BURNING. I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT POPPED THE HOOD LOOKED AT THE ENGINE SAW NOTHING BUT STILL SMELLED ELECTRICAL BURNING. MY BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I WAS LEAVING THE GROCERY STORE. ABOUT A MILE AWAY I STOPPED AT STOPLIGHT AT A BUSY INTERSECTION ON THE HIGHWAY AND DASH LIGHTS STARTED COMING ON AND OFF, RADIO AND AC COMING ON AND OFF AND THEN CAR DIES AND WILL NOT RESTART. AFTER 5 OR 10 MINUTES GET IT RESTARTED AND WILL BARELY MOVE. LUCKILY THERE WAS AN AUTO PARTS STORE JUST AROUND THE CORNER. WHEN I PULL IN THE PARKING LOT, CAR WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF DRIVE, WILL NOT SHUT OFF, WIND SHIELD WIPERS COME ON AND WON'T GO OFF, GAUGES ALL GOING CRAZY AND HAVE TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE SO MY CAR WON'T RUN THROUGH THE FRONT OF THE STORE WHILE I GO INTO STORE TO GET HELP. I WAS WAITING IN THE DRIVE THRU BANK LINE AND THE CAR CUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEED A NEW ALTERNATOR. HOWEVER THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 160 AMP CHRYSLER 300 (RECAL P60) BUT I WAS TOLD BY CHRYSLER THAT MY CAR IS 180 AMP BUT I'VE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE AS THE 160 AMP. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS.
RIGHT SIDE OF THE POWERTRAIN IS HAVING PROBLEMS. THE CYLINDER HEADS ARE NOT FUNCTION AS SHOULD BE CREATING THE CAR TO MISFIRE. THE LEFT POWERTRAIN WAS REPLACED CYLINDER HEAD BUT THE ENGINE & POWERTRAIN AS A WHOLE IS DEFECTIVE & IS CAUSING DRIVING ISSUES WITH THE CAR. THE CAR BUCKS (JOLTS FOWARD) AT IDOL & ON THE HIGHWAY IT PUTTS FEELS LIKE A TRANSMISSION SLIP. IT'S NOT A CONSTANT STEADY SPEED. MAKING IT DIFFICULT & SCARY TO DRIVE A LONG DISTANCE.
