I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE, THINKING IT WAS GREAT. I TRIED DRIVING IT HOME, AND NEVER MADE IT. I LOST ALL POWER ON THE HIGHWAY IN FRONT OF THE SEMI. IN RETURN I DID NOT HAVE BRAKES, I DIDN'T HAVE STEERING, ALL LIGHTS TURNED OFF, AND TO TOP IT OFF IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN. I'VE REPLACED THE PCM, STARTER, ALTERNATOR, THE POWER DISTRIBUTION, ALL THE FUSES/RELAYS, AND HERE I AM STILL SPENDING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO TRY TO GET MY VEHICLE TO WORK AGAIN, AND IT'S NOT SEEMING POSSIBLE. I HAVE 2 KIDS AND NOW ONCE I GET IT STARTED I MUST WORRY IF IT'LL HAPPEN AGAIN. THE CAR ONLY HAS 120,000 MILES ON IT. IT'S BEEN VERY WELL KEPT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER 300. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE WAS STUCK BETWEEN THE RUN AND START POSITION. THE KEY DID NOT REMAIN IN THE RUN POSITION. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED THREE OTHER TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED THAT THE WIRELESS IGNITION MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED A SPRING REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,783.

I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY CHRYSLER 300, 2008 MODEL WITH MY ENGINE SHUTTING OFF COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING. SINCE 2012, IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE ON THE FREEWAY, ONCE AT A STOP LIGHT, AND AT LEAST 8 OR 9 TIMES WHERE IT REFUSES TO START THE CAR. I TOOK IT IN TO MY CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW (80 MILES, COMING IN FROM ORLANDO, I WAS TOLD) IN 2008. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE), AND I HAD TO PAY $597 FOR THE REPAIR. WHEN MY CAR SHUT OFF ALL BY ITSELF INT HE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY, I HAD ONCOMING TRAFFIC, AND HAD TO MAKE A QUICK SWERVE ONTO THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY (SHOULDER) AS QUICKLY AS I COULD WHILE THE TIRES WERE STILL MOVING IN ORDER TO STAY SAFE. WHILE TRAVELING ON I465 EAST AND DRIVING 65 MILES AN HOUR I CHANGED LANES TO EXIT THE HIGHWAY AND THE CAR SHUT OFF.I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. ON MARCH 3RD 2014 THE CAR WOULD NOT START AND I HAD IT TOWED FROM ANDERSON INDIANA TO INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA BY AAA. I HAVE SINCE PAID $1400 FOR PARTS AND LABOR AND MY VEHICLE IS STILL NOT RUNNING. I RENTED A CHRYSLER 300 OVER THIS PAST WEEKEND. I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT IT WAS THE SCARIEST RIDE I'VE HAD IN A WHILE. HAVE YOU EVER TESTED THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM ON ICE. IT NOT ONLY DOES NOT WORK, IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I HAD TO DRIVE ABOUT SIX HUNDRED MILES ON ICY AND WINDY WYOMING ROADS WHICH PROVED TO BE QUITE SCARY IN THE 300 WITH ESP. SINCE I DON'T HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE OF MY OWN WITH THIS FEATURE, IT TOOK A WHILE TO FIGURE OUT WHY THE CAR DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD, EVEN AT FAIRLY SLOW SPEEDS. THESE CARS SHOULD HAVE A HUGH RED WARNING STICKER ON THE DASH TO WARN PROSPECTIVE DRIVERS THAT THIS FEATURE IS NOT SAFE TO USE IN THE WIND AND ON ICE.
