TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND THE TRACTION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE INDICATOR TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SNETHKAMP CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (11600 TELEGRAPH RD, REDFORD CHARTER TWP, MI 48239, (313) 429-0013) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 110,105.

THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED HER PARTICULAR MODEL THE KEY HAD TO BE TURNED TO THE RUN POSITION FOR AWHILE AND THEN TURN TO START IT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE KEY WAS INSERTED INTO THE IGNITION, THE ENGINE FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS WERE MADE BEFORE THE VEHICLE COULD BE RESTARTED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. WE ARE HAVING PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION KEY WHEN YOU START THE CAR. IT TAKE 5-10 SECOND FOR THE CAR TO RESPOND AND START THE CAR. ON AUGUST 16,2014 WE TOOK THE CAR TO CARL BURGERS DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. THEY SAID THE ISSUE IS WITH THE KEY AND NEW KEY IS NEED TO BE PURCHASED AT 226.66 SO WE DID. AFTER THE SERVICE WAS DONE 24 HOURS AFTER WE STILL HAD THE SAME ISSUE. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP ON 9/27/2014 CONCERNING A RECALL CURRENTLY HAVE ON CHRYSLER VEHICLE WITH SAME ISSUE. THEY TOLD ME THIS CAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. THAN I CONTACTED THE CHRYSLER COMPANY ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS AND THERE RESPOND WAS YOU CAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BUT THEY MIGHT EXPAND THE RECALL TO DIFFERENT MODEL WHICH WILL INCLUDE YOUR VEHICLE. SO AS A CONSUMER WHAT DO WE DO DRIVE THE CAR WITH ALL...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY FOB SPLIT OPEN AFTER IT WAS PLACED INSIDE OF THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE KEY WAS NOT ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT USED THE SPARE TO START THE VEHICLE. THE SPARE KEY STARTED THE VEHICLE FOR THREE WEEKS. THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH THE SPARE KEY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT AT THE DEALER IN ORDER TO HAVE THE REPAIRS COMPLETED ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,450 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,861.

IN A SECOND INCIDENT THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE SAME DEFECT WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE DEFECT HAD RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
I'M COMPLAINING ABOUT THE WIN MODULE, I'VE HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS. NOT KNOWING THAT'S WHAT IT WAS, I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT BATTERIES FOR MY FOBS...WORKED FOR ABOUT A WEEK, MY CAR BEEPS ALL NIGHT LONG SO I TOOK THE BACKS OF THE FOBS SO THAT THE BATTERY WOULD NOT HAVE CONTACT. THAT HELPED WITH THE BEEPING. BUT I HAVE HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR STARTING, HAD TO SIT PLACES UNTIL I COULD GET IT STARTED. SO I GO ON CHRYSLER S PAGE ONLY TO READ ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH THE WIN MODULE, AND IT STATES THAT THERE"S MANY MANY OF THE 2008 CHRYSLER 300 WITH THIS PROBLEM. AND IT ALSO STATES THAT IF IT FAIL WHILE DRIVING THE CAR COULD SHUT OFF. MY COMPLAINT IS IF CHRYSLER KNOW THIS WHY DON'T THEY HAVE A RECALL ON THE CARS.
