All Power Train Complaints
Ive had to continueously replace the brakes axles, warped rotors . As well as needing to purchase tires for front end due to control arms malfunction. Constant replacemenf of front axle all causing rubbing, mis alignment and front end sitting inward. These replacements happen more than 3 times a year the last 3 years of ownership.
TRANSMISSION HARD SHIFTING, SLOW TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH LOCK UP AND HARD LOCK UP WHEN IT DOES. GOING DOWN A HILL THE TORQUE CONVERTER WILL UNLOCK WHEN LETTING OFF THE GAS AND WHEN STARTING UP ANOTHER HILL THE ENGINE WILL SPEED UP AND THEN IT WILL RE-LOCK WITH A JERK. LOWER GEAR SHIFTS HARD SOMETIMES AND SOMETIMES OK.
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD TRANSMISSION STARTED TO SLIP PULLED OVER AND HAD TRANS FLUID EVERYWHERE. REPLACED THE LINES AND NOW NOT EVEN 3 YEARS LATER THEY ARE ROTTEN AGAIN AND WILL NEED REPLACED SOON. I AM LUCKY THE FIRST TIME THEY BROKE I DIDN'T DAMAGE MY TRANSMISSION. I HAVE SEEN WHERE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE AND ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS.IT COAST ME AROUND $150 FOR THE LINES AND THE FLUID AND FILTER TO MAKE SURE THERE WAS NO DAMAGE. I CANT AFFORD $150 EVERY COUPLE YRS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. AFTER MAKING CONTACT WITH THE SHIFTER AND PUSHING IT FORWARD, THE GEAR SHIFTER INADVERTENTLY SWITCHED FROM THE DRIVE POSITION TO THE NEUTRAL POSITION. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH. WHILE IN THE NEUTRAL POSITION, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER AND ACCELERATION. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE SHIFTER WOULD SHIFT FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WITHOUT HAVING TO PRESS THE BUTTON ON THE SHIFTER. DURING THE FAILURE, THE SHIFT SELECTOR INDICATOR DISPLAYED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STILL IN THE DRIVE POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
BOTH TRANSMISSION COOLER LINES WERE HEAVILY CORRODED AND CAUSED A LEAK. THERE IS A TSB FOR CERTAIN MODEL YEARS AND ALOT OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE. I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 TRAILBLAZER HOME AFTER A 150 MILE TRIP TO COLUMBUS AND NOTICED OIL SPOTS ON MY DRIVEWAY. I MOVED AND PARKED THE VEHICLE IN ANOTHER LOCATION WHERE A LARGE PUDDLE OF "OIL." FELL UNDER THE ENGINE. I CLIMBED UNDERNEATH AND SAW TRANSMISSION FLUID DRIPPING FROM THE FRAME ONTO THE GROUND. I CALLED GRAHAM CHEVROLET AND WAS TOLD NOT TO DRIVE AS IT WOULD CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION RESULTING IN A COSTLY REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. I CALLED AAA AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED ON A FLATBED TRUCK TO GRAHAM CHEVROLET WHERE THEY REPLACED THE CORRODED AND LEAKING TRANSMISSION LINES WITH A BILL OF OVER $500.00 FOR THE WORK DONE. THEY SAID GM KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM AND IT IS COMMON TO THESES VEHICLES, BUT NO RECALL OR WARRANTY REPAIR WAS AUTHORIZED. IT WAS THE CUSTOMERS PROBLEM TO TAKE CARE OF. I HAVE SINCE FOUND OTHERS...
I HAD GONE TO A FRIENDS HOUSE AND ON THE WAY HOME MY POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND WAS TOLD THE POWER STEERING COOLER HAD RUSTED THROUGH. I ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THIS PART ON MY 2003 TRAILBLAZER NOT REALIZING THERE WAS A PROBLEM. IF THIS PART RUSTS OUT ON DIFFERENT YEARS OF THE SAME MODEL THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE BECAME VERY HARD TO STEER. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I AND MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH TRANSMISSION LINES GASOLINE LINES AND POWER STEERING LINES. I HAD TO REPLACE THE GASOLINE LINE AND FUEL PUMP ON THE 2003 , AND JUST REPLACED TRANSMISSION LINE ON THE 2007. I THINK THERE NEEDS TO BE AN ENGINEERING CHANGE ON THESE VEHICLES. I ALSO RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON THE 2007 TRAILBLAZER FOR THE ELECTRIC WINDOW SWITCH....
FLUID LEAK FROM TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINES DUE TO CORROSION. *TR
I HAVE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH MY 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER SINCE I PURCHASED THIS CAR. THE TRANSMISSION MESSED UP ORIGINALLY AND NOW I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY GAS GAUGE INDICATOR. THIS RECENT PROBLEM STARTED LAST YEAR 2010. THE LEVELS WERE READING INACCURATELY AT THAT TIME AND SEEMED TO HAVE REPAIRED ITSELF. THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR, THE INDICATORS STOPPED WORKING AGAIN. I NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS IN MY TRUCK AND I AM PARANOID AND CONSTANTLY GOING TO THE STORE TO ADD MORE GAS. I AM UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE MAJORITY OF CHEVY VEHICLES AND GM ACTUALLY KNOWS THAT THE PROBLEM EXIST AND HAS DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP THE MILLIONS OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS THAT PURCHASED THESE CARS. MY 2007 TRAILBLAZER LOST POWER DURING ACCELERATION. ON JANUARY 22 I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND IT TOOK THEM 4 DAYS FOR THE VEHICLE TO ACT UP SO THEY COULD GET A CODE. THEY REPLACED THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE. ON MARCH 3, 2010 IT HAPPENED AGAIN, THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM, WHILE MY WIFE WAS CROSSING A STREET. THE RPMS WENT FROM 2000 OR SO DOWN TO 5-600 WHILE PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL. I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED IN TO DEALER AND GOT A LOANER CAR UNDER TERMS OF MY WARRANTY. IT IS NOW DAY 6 AND THEY CANNOT GET IT TO ACT UP AGAIN. I CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE AND GOT A CASE # 71-810026931, BUT I AM BEING TOLD BEFORE THEY SEND A TECHNICIAN THAT CAN SOLVE THE PROBLEM I MUST TAKE IT TO A SECOND DEALERSHIP AT MY COST AS WELL AS PAYING FOR TOWING AND...
I HAVE A PROBLEM WHERE THE THROTTLE HANGS UP AROUND 2000 RPM IN ALL GEARS AFTER BEING ON THE THROTTLE AND THEN IMMEDIATELY NEEDING TO SLOW DOWN FOR ANY REASON. THIS IS A TRAILBLAZER SUPER SPORT EQUIPPED WITH THE 395 HP 400 FT LB ENGINE. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER. I HAVE SUED GM FOR THIS BEING A LEMON AND WAS PAID OFF. YET NO FIX.
