Consequence: A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.

Recall 23V525000 — ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Aerial Devices (AT, TA, L44, L45, LR8, AA, AM, AN) and D series Digger Derricks (DH, DL, DM, DT). The power inverter that converts electrical DC power to AC power may have been installed without a circuit breaker to protect the AC output circuit.

Consequence: Without a circuit breaker, the AC circuit may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Altec will install a 20-amp circuit breaker in the AC circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 21, 2023. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 3103.

Recall 23V636000 — EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL:WINCH

Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2004-2023 DL42 and DL45 Digger Derricks. The incorrect hydraulic load holding valve may have been installed, which can cause the winch to lower uncontrollably and the load to fall.

Consequence: An uncontrolled load falling increases the risk of injury to personnel or others nearby.
