NHTSA Complaint #11714204 — 2018 RAM 2500

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH with the cruise control engaged, the check engine warning illuminated, and the cruise control was disengaged. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent, but recently, the check engine, ABS, and ESC warning lights were constantly illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact had taken the vehicle in for routine service and discussed the failure with the service manager at the dealer. The contact was informed that the part was not available, but the dealer could repair the failure, and the contact could request reimbursement from the manufacturer after paying for repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
