NHTSA Complaint #11713642 — 2018 RAM 2500

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS and traction control warning lights illuminated, with an audible chime. The traction control system became inoperable but operated as needed intermittently. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, parts were not yet available. Several local dealers were contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealers confirmed that parts were not yet available, even though one Parts Department at one of the dealers indicated that the HCU unit part might be available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 105,600.
