NHTSA Complaint #11712972 — 2018 RAM 2500

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the ABS and traction control warning lights remained illuminated. During the failure, the cruise control feature was inoperable. The contact stated that the vehicle skidded while attempting to accelerate and stalled while abruptly stopping to avoid hitting a dog. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The failure mileage was 34,000.
