NHTSA Complaint #11712513 — 2018 RAM 2500

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the “Service ABS” message was displayed with an audible chime. The contact stated that the cruise control, the ABS, and the traction control systems became inoperable and failed to function as intended. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 155,000.
