NHTSA Complaint #11709488 — 2024 JEEP WRANGLER 4XE

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V766000 (Engine), 25V741000 (Electrical System), and 25V710000 (Electrical System); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced a loss of drive power. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that the software error in an over-the-air (OTA) update resulted in a loss of drive power. The dealer deleted the software update; however, the vehicle hesitated while driving at high RPM. The contact was informed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
