NHTSA Complaint #11716159 — 2024 JEEP WRANGLER 4XE

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V710000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine); however, parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at 20 MPH and coming to a stop at a stoplight, the vehicle stalled. The contact depressed the brake pedal, and the vehicle stopped at the stoplight; however, the contact was able to restart the vehicle 10 minutes later. The contact stated that the failure recurred while idling. The contact stated that another driver informed the contact's wife that he had previously owned the same vehicle and had experienced the same failure. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts for the recall repairs were not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.
