NHTSA Complaint #11704689 — 2024 JEEP WRANGLER 4XE

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V710000 (Electrical Systems), 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the message "Update Now" was displayed. The contact stated that upon agreeing to the update, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was restarted, but the vehicle continued to stall. The check engine warning light then illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the residence, where the vehicle was charged. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle the following day, the indicator "Ready" for the headlight failed to illuminate as it normally would. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that while driving 75 MPH on another occasion, the contact observed that the battery level was at 0%, and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was restarted and steered to the side of the road. The contact was able to drive to the place of employment and charged the vehicle. The contact stated that after charging the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated. No further information was available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.
