The failure had occurred after unknown software updates were performed. In addition, the contact stated that the software updates were performed every 10,000 miles. In addition, the contact stated that the second time the failure occurred, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle lost motive power but was able to be restarted. The vehicle was taken to O’Reilly’s, and a diagnostic test was performed. The contact was informed that the diagnostic code was unknown. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,010.
