NHTSA Complaint #11680988 — 2019 FORD FLEX

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver's side B-pillar trim detached and flew off the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that the passenger's side B-pillar had detached and fallen off the vehicle two years prior. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, and the contact was informed that the driver’s and passenger’s side s B-pillar trims needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000. The VIN was unavailable.
