NHTSA Complaint #11679282 — 2019 FORD FLEX

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V951000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while in reverse, the back over prevention camera briefly displayed an image for approximately 15 seconds, then the screen went black. The message "Back Over Camera Unavailable" was displayed on the infotainment center screen. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the part for the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was unable to provide a date for parts availability. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown.
