NHTSA Complaint #11677215 — 2013 FORD EDGE

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated while in reverse(R), the rearview camera displayed a blank image. Additionally, the contact also stated that upon shifting to drive(D), the rearview camera remained activated temporarily. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall, and the contact was provided an estimated fee for the repair. The contact declined to pay for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA Hotline to file a vehicle safety complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.
