The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while reversing, the rear-view camera displayed an upside-down and fuzzy image. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with a failed rear-view camera system. The contact was informed that the rear-view camera system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not under recall. The contact owns another Ford vehicle that experienced a similar failure, and the vehicle was included in the recall. The contact was informed by the independent mechanic to wait for a recall notification for the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
