Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated the parking brake was intermittently illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was shaking and vibrating abnormally while depressing the brake pedal. The contact stated that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V509000 (Parking Brake), which stated that the wiring harness needed to be replaced. The dealer determined that the failure was caused by the recall. The dealer also determined that the rotors needed to be replaced. The rotors were replaced. The contact stated that the rear brake rotors were replaced three times. The dealer informed the contact that the recall was considered completed and had not replaced the harness but secured the existing harness with a zip tie. The contact stated that approximately one year later, the parking brake light started to illuminate intermittently. The dealer was informed; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the check engine warning light illuminated while the fuel tank was full. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic, who diagnosed that the knock sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 47,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
