Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle had failed to accelerate as needed while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was taken to the local independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 195,000.
